Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Lesson 4 - Basic Level Empty Lesson 4 - Basic Level

Post by James William Wilson Fri Oct 15, 2010 9:43 am

Wilson entered his classroom. It was empty, for now, but soon... his students will arrive, thinking they can do what they want, as it is with the majority of them. He had finally begun with teaching some relevant subjects, meaning he had finished with those boring and stressing introductory classes. He waved his hand, and text appeared on the board, with the usual not to copy it down. As soon as they were all present, he would start with the class.

Sam walked into the classroom and took his usual seat. Gosh, school'd been back long enough now to have a usual seat, how freaky was that... anyway, he took his seat and pulled his stuff out, putting them on his desk before kicking his bag underneath it. "What're we learning today sir?" sam asked him, wondering if they were going to have another practical lesson as good as the last one, hopefully he could earn some more points for gryffindor this time.

"Good Morning Professor."said Leslie softly as she walked into the calssroom and took her normal seat in the middle of the class. "Oh hey Samuel, how are you today?"Leslie asked her fellow Gryffindor giving him a soft warm smile. Sitting down in her normal spot she gotten her things out for class and laid them neatly in front of her ready for class. Leslie knew she was early but she wanted to be on Professor Wilson's good side seeing how he was the head of her house. As Leslie sat in her chair she waited for class to begin so she could get Gryffindor some points.

Sam turned in his seat and saw Leslie enter, throwing her a quick smile and a wave. "Hey there Leslie," he said with a grin on his face, "Please, i told you, call me Sam," he told her, laughing. "How are you?" He then asked, wondering how the girl was. He'd not seen her in the common room very much recently, which was surprising, most people seemed to do nothing but sit in the common room and go to classes. "I've not seen you in awhile, where've you been?" he asked.

Lesson 4 - Basic Level Empty Re: Lesson 4 - Basic Level

Andrew had panicked, thinking he had overslept. He had rushed into his clothes, grabbed his backpack, and run all the way from the tower dorm down to the classroom. That had replaced any need for caffeine this morning. He stopped just outside of the classroom, took a deep breath to not look as out of control as the morning had begun, and entered the classroom calmly.

"Good morning, Professor," he said calmly, going towards his seat. As he passed Sam, he nudged him and softly said, "Next time, wake me up, Dude!" He went to his seat and almost sat down on Frog, whom he'd shoved in the back pocket of his uniform pant. He drew the little green frog out of his pocket and put him in his shirt pocket instead, and then sat down and proceeded to get out his book, his notebook and his quick quotes quill and set it to copying Wilson's notes from the board.

Sammy walked into the teacher and student filled classroom. She said her good mornings and walked to a desk in the back of the classroom. All thoughts keeping her from hearing the responses from thoses she said good morning too. It had been a long and tiring week. All she wanted to do was get through class and then go back to her room. She was sad, and angry and depressed. Keegan hadn't talk to her in a while, Sophia was too busy to talk to her, and her kids where growing up really quick. She didn't bearly have a friend in the world, and now her evil side had come back. She hated life right now.

Sam snorted and started to laugh, before quickly trying to hide his amusement by pulling a book up in front of his face. "I'll try harder next time," he told Andrew, a grin on his face. In all honesty he had tried to wake Andrew up, even if his heart wasn't really in the act, he had shouted his name on his way out the dorms, and it had beena reasonably loud shout, he couldn'tve done much more beyond physcially waking the boy.

"Hey Sam," he said, quickly changing his train of thought, "How are you?" he asked

"Ok sorry Sam, I forgot."said Leslie softly as she looked at Andrew and waved and gave him a soft warm smile. "Hello Andrew, how are you today?"Leslie asked him softly as she heard Samuel asked her why she haven't seen her in awhile she laughed. "Sorry I been in the library alot lately and sick."said Leslie but sighing at the same time. As she turned to the girl she didn't know she gave her a soft warm smile. "Hello I'm Leslie, Leslie Darling but please call me Lessie, Lesi for short."said Leslie smiling. "Oh your Samantha, Keegan told me alot about you and don't worry he'll be here."said Leslie winking at her.

Lesson 4 - Basic Level Empty Re: Lesson 4 - Basic Level

Post by Ezra Laurisi Sun Oct 17, 2010 6:18 pm

Ezra took a deep breath. This class wouldn't be so bad, this class wouldn't be so bad. He hoped. Well, they went well the last ones he attended. However, he didn't want to jinx it by thinking so. Anything was easily jinxed by thinking it. Though he wasn't superstitious, he still had a tendency to be safe than sorry when it came to serious stuff. Not so serious things like exploring the Forbidden Forest, which he did every Saturday, though not in depth so he'd be able to get back out should he need to. Very rarely was he ever caught doing things he shouldn't, as that would be stupid of him to do so. He chose a seat in the back, and sat down his books.

Luna arrived, she looked worried that she'd been late to the class. She breathed a sigh of relief that she wasn't, and sat down. She chose a seat in the middle; not too far away that she couldn't hear the professor, but not too close that she'd be caught doing anything mischievous. She opened her book, and flipped around a couple pages because she was bored.

Post by James William Wilson Wed Oct 20, 2010 8:03 pm

''Fine, you've all exchanged experiences from last night's slumber party, now shut up!'', Wilson said vehemently, but not loudly, standing up. ''Today's class will be the continuation of our last two, since we shall continue with elemental offense and defense. But, this time you will be the ones telling me what to do. Now, the question, for everyone of you, is as follows: Which spells can you use, in dueling, as offensive and defensive spells, although it is not their primary function? Now, I want you to be creative and both name and explain your choices'', he said.
