Durmstrang and Beauxbatons students arrive

As soon as Brienne ended her performance, she saw a girl coming toward her. She smiled sweetly at her. "My name's Brienne Ravenquist, who might you be?" She was pleased that her show impressed one Beauxbatons student. She then did something else. She traced a pattern in the air, in a soft blue-and-bronze-of-Ravenclaw. It was the Ravenclaw eagle. She morphed it into the Gryffindor lion with the Gryffindor red and gold. Slowly it morphed to the black and yellow Hufflepuff badger, then a green and silver Slytherin snake. She smiled and made it burst in a small array of fireworks. She then spelled out her own name in blue and bronze, indicating she was a Ravenclaw.

"My name's Lana!" Lana replied cheerfully. She also replied in kind by pulling out her own wand. She had only seen the trick twice, but she grasped it pretty quickly. It was a simple manner of controlling the flow of energy as she saw necessary. It took a few tries, but Lana managed to spell her own name with a pink outlined blue tinge. To further see how far she could go, she swiped her wand through the thin cursive letters. The shards of her name began to flap about like doves before smoldering away.

"Wow, that's actually pretty hard," Lana smiled as she now had the license to make such an observation. She hated people who talked more than they did.

"It is hard, Lana, but it's worth doing to impress such lovely people like yourself" Brienne said, she bowed slightly. Her wolfish ears slipped from the bind that she had tried to conceal them in. It was never a good idea to use satin or silk like material to bind, since it would just slip off your head. The blue and bronze ribbon fell to her face. She got back up and realized that her ears were showing.

"Sorry about the ears, they're a...defect", she flashed a nervous toothy smile. She was embarrassed that she'd allow the binds of her ears to slip. She tapped the ribbon in her hair with her wand, allowing it to tie itself once more.
