Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Post by William Winston McCoy Fri Jan 22, 2010 11:17 am

McCoy followed soon after Wilson. He knew his whole plan and was therefore pretty calm about the meeting itself. He entered and saw him sitting next to Majere. He nodded with a smile. He took a seat beside Jess. ''Morning Potter.'', he said with a smile. He then turned and waved to Wilson.

Post by James Wake Fri Jan 22, 2010 11:48 am

James Wake was uncomfortable entering the room. There were certain rules to be obeyed and not entering the Lounge was one of them. It was a nice looking place though, and two professors had already joined his new "boss." James' eyes shifted from person to person, taking in facial features, gauging the attitude of the room, and pairing it a proper term. In this situation, "somber" would be adequate enough.
"Hello Professor Lupin, Professor Potter." He stiffly nodded to each professor as he stepped forward and saluted his Headmaster, albeit slightly.
"Good day Headmaster. I've come to report on the situation in the Main Hall, and what exactly happened."

Yeah ignore Professor Lestrange why don't you Wake!! Matt said sacrastically. Hello McCoy... he said nodding to him. He had always liked McCoy for some reason, he was just....likeable in a way.

Post by Amelia Lyons Fri Jan 22, 2010 6:29 pm

Amelia was hesitant to enter the staff lounge, both because she had never been there and because she knew that in doing so she would put herself in a situation that would involve many people, most of which were her direct superiors (aka Professors), meaning that her dismal social skills would be put to the ultimate test.

Trying to remain calm and collected, Amelia mentally reminded herself that this meeting had been called to present facts and discuss logically the ramifications which resulted from the scene she had witnessed in the entrance hall earlier. To be completely honest, Amelia did not know to what use her account would be as she had seen very little of what had happened beyond the flinging of spells and ensuring the safety of the students. At the direction of Professor Lupin – ahem, Khaat. Amelia didn’t think she would ever get used to calling a professor by her first name – Amelia had seen to the students, somehow managing to bring some sort of order to a commotion which had previously resembled a barnyard at feeding time, getting almost all students out unharmed.

Having some sort of plan of what she would say made her feel better, and Amelia was able to enter the staff lounge mostly unnoticed. She slid along the wall, making no formal greeting other than to nod at the Headmaster, whose expression appeared both grave and frustrated. Most of the staff was already present, as well as James Wake, another of the imperium squad members. Although he was the person with which Amelia most fit – all others were professors – Amelia did not choose to stand near him, instead choosing a bit of wall that was otherwise deserted and hoping that her part in all of this would not be scrutinized too closely. She had only been following orders and preserving the safety of the students to the best of her abilities. Amelia didn’t think she could handle the thought of having disappointed the headmaster, nor the repercussions she would face if her parents found out that she had.

Post by James Wake Sat Jan 23, 2010 12:42 am

"My apologies Prof. Lestrange. I didn't see you there. And you too Prof. McCoy." He gave a curt nod to Amelia, before turning to the Headmaster, pulling out a log book.
"I have not had enough time to prepare a proper dossier of the attack, but I do have a record of times, and the key players of the event. It was a bit difficult to properly extract information, but after asking around, I've determined the proper timings for each events. The total event lasted approximately..." James took a look at his book. How long exactly had it lasted? Ne'os had held them all off effectively, but he couldn't manage it for more than half an hour. That, and considering the length of Shacklebolt's assault and defeat made the total length of the engagement with Emof....
"Almost fifty-five minutes, during which considerable damage was dealt to the student body and the enemy... supposedly," he added at the last minute.

((Does that sound reasonable? Comments? Questions? Ask away?))
((Note: The reason I know that the attacker was Ne'os was because I was present when he received his shroud. Otherwise, for the sake of not godmoding, we all ought to call him the "Mysterious Shrouded guy. Just a suggestion))

Post by HafizDeen Diggory Sat Jan 23, 2010 4:53 am

Hafiz entered the meeting room as soon as Professor Jess potter told him to. The minute he entered he can feel the tense in the room. He can see that a few professor were tense and almost angry, cool sarcastic looking and other various expressions. A few of his friends already there for the meeting. Hoping he wasn't late, he take a seat next to Professor Lestrange seats. Without saying a word, he wanted to hear the flows of the meeting first, then he would say a few words if he must.

Post by Vincent Majere Sat Jan 23, 2010 6:21 am

Vincent knows the attacker was Ne'os because Danny told him at the office

--------------------------------------------------------

Vincent nodded as more people began to arrive, at last. Wilson came in, which was good, he was the one person in the room he didn't suspect (ironic huh?), he was a useful ally. Then the inquisitorial squad began to arrive, First James, then Amelia and then followed by Hafiz. "Oh your here, good," Vincent said, more excited now. Having not been there at the scene, it would be useful to know the first hand accounts from the members of the squad. They could give him important information about Emof, or at least tell him what the other professors were doing at the scene. Perhaps they even knew who had helped the fools into the castle. "Yes Wake, explain what happened - in detail. And you too Lyons," Vincent ordered, impatient to get some information.

Post by Jess Potter Sat Jan 23, 2010 12:28 pm

Jess snICKered ((< Good Jess, see matt)) Quietly and rolled his eyes. "A bunch of people attacked the castle, you killed one, two got away, and one succeeded," He summarised, "Doesn't that pretty much cover what happened?" he asked, no one in particular, looking over at matt and grinning. He then looked over at McCoy and nodded back, "Good to see you McCoy," he said with a smile, turning again to look at Wilson, 'Odd,' he thought, 'That he would sit next to the Headmaster, and not me," he thought, wondering whether or not he took it personally, as he would've expected James to be more of a friend to him then the rest. He shrugged and looked at James and Amelia, waiting for them to go on. "Hello hafiz," he added, feeling rude for having not said it earlier, and having nearly forgotten

Post by Elijah Krum Sat Jan 23, 2010 2:41 pm

Elijah knew it was best that he make some kind of entrance. There was probably no point but after taking some foolish First Years back to their dorms he was starting to wonder whether to jump off of the Astronomy tower. Although the prospect was rather appealing to him, he knew it wasn't the greatest way to go. He didn't fancy haunting the Astronomy tower for the rest of his undead life. It would be a bore.

Opening the door of the staff lounge, Elijah felt slightly apprehensive. Surely it was some kind of taboo to enter a room solely for members of staff but that didn't matter. He was helping Majere out so he needed to be there. Elijah closed the door behind him and moved to lean against the wall by the door to listen to the recounts. He knew Shacklebot was dead - it was a chilling thought but he hadn't expected it if he was honest.

It would just be one of those times where he'd wait to be spoken to and not bother to say anything unless it benefited the situation or himself.

Aftermath - Page 4 Empty Re: Aftermath

Post by James Wake Sat Jan 23, 2010 7:58 pm

"Yes, that is basically what happened. But that does not help assert damage control, and there is nearly no method of determining who, or rather, what lead the assault on the students. Hopefully, we can fully understand the attack and the attacker's motives, and what we can do to prevent such a breach of security." James let the words roll off his tongue, straightening his back and holding his position. "Upon initial arrival, early accounts report the presence three additional units besides the shrouded figure that had so rudely alerted the school to his presence."

"Initial reaction was lukewarm. Most students had found the message incomprehensible, and as such, loitered before the call of evacuation fully resounded. In the following chaos, there were several reports of three figures sneaking further ahead. It appears that the shrouded figure was well-protected. None of the school-taught spells seemed to be effective, nor were the Unforgivable curses, which, regrettably, had been cast by faculty and student bodies. In addition to this, the student body formed large... clots, preventing an orderly evacuation effort. In order to better accommodate the large number of students, we were forced to open up the doors of the Grand Hall. Fortunately, no further damage was incurred upon the Hall. The most damaged area of the building is within the Entrance hall. All of the damage incurred on the building is fixable through either magic or Alchemy. Damages to students number in the twenties, but none so hurt to incur legal action. As for the identity of the trackers, I have a feeling that you know the greater majority, Headmaster." James offered the full file to Headmaster Majere.
