Class One Empty Class One

Post by Clementine Lovegood Wed Aug 22, 2012 3:03 am

Not once in her nineteen years had Jamie ever wanted to be a teacher. Despite being almost one herself, children confused her more than anything in the world. Especially the teenage sort. Jamie found it hard to relate to the "petty minds" of the young and preferred to spend time with those who were mature both physically and mentally. But here was.. Because despite the fact that it was completely overrun with pimply, snot nosed teenagers, Hogwarts was safe. After her sudden return to the world outside of Felix Barker the nightmares had come every night. One morning she woke covered in sweat, bloody half moon cuts on her leg from where she has gripped it so tightly in her sleep. The very next day she had applied for a teaching position. Any position really. And despite being the last qualified person for the job she had gotten it. Perhaps that was due to the fact that the patterns of scars across her skin were a lesson in themselves, no teaching needed.

Jamie shuffled though the papers on the desk. Her classroom consisted of three person wide benches, two benches in each row (with a relatively wide space between them), six rows long. Her desk was at the front, on a slightly higher level of the room that you had to take a step up to. This area alao contained a chalk board and the entrance to her office (which in turn held the stairs to her living quarters). There was a space left in the back of the room and the left wall was filled with a collage dark colored books and portraits of various growling beasts. The other wall boasted of wide windows that let in the last remaining summer sunshine, accented with ugly vomit green paisley drapes that the last teacher had left her. There would still be cobwebs on the walls if the house elves weren't so picky. Jamie hadn't touched this place yet, down to the old lesson plans that she was ruffling though on the desk. Her desk. She was claiming it was too soon to do anything still. She had been held and tortured for two months.. She deserved a little time. But time had crept up on her and it was suddenly her first class.

Jamie had to admit, she had absolutely no idea what she was doing. Time to freestyle. This deadline was a bit of a reality check for her and she promised to herself to sit down tonight and plan out the next couple months. Even if she couldn't care less about the job she needed it more than anything right now. It could be a life of death situation. Literally. She would get her act together. She just had to get over today. Glancing down at the old lesson plan on Dangerous Hexes she frowned unhappily. It was going to be a long lesson. Jamie stood and paced back and forth across the room. It was uncomfortably short width wise, yet incredibly long. Like a snake. Of course she got the worst room. "Lovely." she growled sarcastically. Jamie looked around at the empty room and then returned to her desk, sat down, and reclined in wait. Just lovely.

Class One Empty Re: Class One

Post by Talon Marlowe Wed Aug 22, 2012 3:11 am

This time, Talon wasn't going to be late. He jogged through the hallway, passing by several students and making his way hurriedly to his next class. Ever since he had been late to his Charms class, he felt a little discouraged about how the year was going, and he wasn't going to let something as small as that stop him. Having finally made his way to the third floor, he stopped in front of the door, lurching forward and catching his breath. Man, he really needed to work out. Once he got his breath, as well as his heart rate, down, he opened the door to the class, and was surprised that no one was there, besides the professor.

Playing it cool, he walked casually towards his seat and sat down. He looked towards the professor and noticed that she definitely didn't look like the others. Nice. "Hello professor," he said, trying to have a friendly tone in his voice. Perhaps things would go more smoothly for him today, possibly even start to look up.

Class One Empty Re: Class One

Post by Alexander Jones Wed Aug 22, 2012 2:44 pm

Alex woke up, looking at his watch, [i]Oh, sh- Imma be late! He thought to himself, as he quickly got dressed in his uniform. Grabbing his wand, and book. He didn't want to be late for the first day of his favorite class. There where so many students, and he would never make it in time. "Maybe... Should I?" Alex thought out loud, contemplating whether to do Parkour around to castle, it would be hard to do it in his uniform, but it was his only chance. He put his feet on the railing of the stair case, and jumped across, to another railing, swinging down, and landing in a back flip.

As he got to the class, he sighed of relief. He walked towards the door, calming down from the Adrenaline rush that came from doing parkour, and literally almost dying. It was easy for him to do it in the school. As last year he did it to escape from the guards, and when he was doing his school hero stuff. He still breathed as no one had ever found out his secret identity, only Rhys. He walked in, and looked around, looking at the teacher, the seer looked at the teacher, getting a weird feeling. But shrugged it off, "Hiya Professor." He said, then sitting next to a boy. Realizing it had been the boy he had helped out in Charms class.

Class One Empty Re: Class One

Post by Ryo Hiroku Wed Aug 22, 2012 2:57 pm

Ryo yawned as he walked to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. He was a bit tired now, since he didn't sleep during the night, but then again when wasn't he tired? He rubbed his eyes quickly and stretched his arms out at he approached the classroom and he sighed. He really should try to get to classes more often now. He was surprised he made it this far since last year, and the years before he barely made it to classes. He was always either late or he just didn't go.

This year was going to be different, though. That was what he kept telling himself. It was his last year ... and he was a prefect. He couldn't afford to be late or ditch classes. That was why he'd gotten out of the Hufflepuff common room a bit earlier than anyone else, as far as he knew. As he walked into the classroom, he saw a younger housemate and shrugged. So much for being first, considering there was another student there. He glanced at the professor, who was his Head of House and he smiled at her, "Good morning Professor Prophet." he greeted her nicely, before heading to the row of seats furthest from the door of the class.

"Hey Alex." he greeted the younger boy as he passed him and he nodded to the other boy as well. He sat in one of the back seats and leaned back in the seat, sighing as he rubbed his eyes again, yawning. He really should start trying to sleep more, no matter how impossible it seemed for him.

Class One Empty Re: Class One

Post by Ekko D'Eath-Augustine Wed Aug 22, 2012 3:19 pm

She hated classes in the morning. Simple as that. Although today she hated them especially more, she'd been feeling weird and ill for the past couple days and she'd just tried to shrug it off. Maybe it would go away if she ignored it, she kept repeating those words to herself. But the uncomfortable feeling wouldn't go away, and despite the concerns and the advise some of her housemates gave her to go to the Hospital Wing, she didn't.

There was no way she was going to let herself bebheld back and waste time by going to the Hospital Wing when she had classes to get too. It was her last year at the stupid school and she wasn't going to mos classes because she felt ill. She needed to get good grades this year because she really didn't want to go through another year in this place. Just ignore it ... it'll go away. she thought to herself as she felt a weird pain in her stomach, when she neared the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.

She walked in, finding that there were already three other students there, one of them a prefect and in her year. She looked at the professor and tried her best to smile at her, "Good morning Professor." she said as nicely as she could, her fake smile lowering as she turned around to take a seat in the room. She walked right by the three boys who were already there and didn't say anything to any of them.

Post by Malmuira "Moira" Crawford Wed Aug 22, 2012 4:08 pm

Defense Against the Dark Arts was his hands down favorite class. He got to show off just how powerful he was in this class. And how smart, believe it or not, Terra Greyback was smart. He actually like classes even if some of them annoyed him to no end. But DADA was something that he just loved. At least he knew the school year was off to a good start, and even though it was his last year nothing was going to ruin it for him. He wasn't going to have another chance ... he hoped.

He walked into the classroom, and saw a few other students and smiled at the majority of them. "Heya Professor." he said in a calm and happy tone as he walked to his seat. "Hey." he said to the younger students and he nodded at Ryo, who nodded back at him. He was a Werewolf and Ryo was a Vampire but they surprisingly got along well enough. He looked at Amaris and gave her a half nod while the girl only stared at him. He shrugged and took a seat beside Ryo.

Post by Leslie Darling Wed Aug 22, 2012 4:20 pm

Leslie was a early raiser, it was probably because she was used to getting up early at the ranch. Today was DADA, which was her favorite class besides CoMC which was her second favorite class. Taking a last bite of toast, she wiped her hands and walked to the DADA classroom. Reaching the DADA classroom she realizaed that she was a bit early but it was better then being late. "Good morning professor."said Leslie softly giving her a soft warm smile.

Seeing Terra was already there she smiled and took a seat in front of him seeing how the tables were two seaters. Waiting for class to start Leslie gotten out her books and parchment and set it neatly on her desk along with her wand. Leslie didn't know what they were doing but she wanted to be prepared.

Class One Empty Re: Class One

Post by Scott Bagman Fri Aug 24, 2012 4:39 am

The one class that Scott REFUSED to be late to.

Defense Against The Dark Arts

The natural choice for most Hogwarts student's favourite class out of them all. Scott was no exception. Scott walked down the hallway towards the door that was DADA. Sure he had lost his time table but he knew exactly what his first class was. And maybe it would show up in this class. Either way he wasn't going to lose sleep over it. He strolled through the classroom doors eagerly with a smile and immediately noticed how early he actually was. There weren't that many students there but his eyes shifted to the teacher.

He knew that face. That was Jamie Prophet, a former student. But he wasn't complaining, Jamie was a beautiful woman now. He smiled at her and took a seat at an empty table, placing his bag on top and pulling out some books. He wasn't sure if any of his friends were taking this class. He saw familiar faces but he'd been going to school with most of them for a few years now, probably.

Class One Empty Re: Class One

Post by Amelia Macmillan Fri Aug 24, 2012 10:06 pm

Amelia had to run all the way from the Hospital Wing to the Defense Against the Dark Arts room while holding an ice pack to her head and her books. She had run straight into a wall trying to get Drew to explain why he skipped Transfiguration. Of course, Edgar had to carry her to the Hospital Wing since she was unconscious once again. Now she was stuck on her medical for her head for even a longer time. Her mum was possibly going to kill her once she finds out.

She waved at Alex briefly before sitting down. She remembered their little adventure in Knockturn Alley. Her mum had stalked Knockturn Alley for a solid month trying to find those guys who had attacked them. Her mum had been very, very scary during that month. She was pretty much beating there meals when she cooked them. It looked like she was butchering the poor chicken when they had chicken one night that month.

She sat down and ran her hand through her bag until she found the right book. She tried to balance the ice bag atop of her head for now. She wasn’t going to let her hand go numb holding it. She quickly took two more pills like she had been ordered to, she hoped that stopped her from passing out and having her astral project scare the crude out of the students in the classroom. Drew had fainted when he saw her separate herself into two different Amelia’s for the first time.
