Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Late night walks - Open Empty Late night walks - Open

Catalina walked near the grounds of the lake, shoes in one hand, holding up her dress in another. It was a backless black dress, and she had chosen to wear black ballet flats, while her hair was a rosy pink, tied back in a bun at the nape of her neck, a few hairs playing around her face. It was twilight, and it was shortly before dinner. Cat was amazed that no one was outside with her, but she enjoyed hearing only the water lapping the sand and the occasional burst of wind that would tickle her neck and send the leaves flying.

Cat walked in the water, feeling a rush of wanderlust. The water felt cool on her skin, and she smiled, feeling completely herself and calm. A feeling that she hadn't felt since after her treatments. Away from judgemental eyes, Cat felt her best, her happiest.

The late sun shone down on the water, and when Cat looked down to see the waters reflection, she was greeted with another's face behind her. Whipping around, she couldn't help but feel violated. "Can I help you?" Cat asked impatiently.

Why in the name of the world was Michael always by the lake? Maybe he would have to jump in one day, and do something stupid. But not tonight. Tonight he was wearing a black t-shirt with the Weird Sisters on the front, with the name of one of their albums, and plain khaki shorts that stopped below the knee. However, it seemed like whoever he had stumbled across hidden in the water had decided to surprise him.

Falling over at her outburst, he landed with a loud splash in the shallow water. Sputtering, he looked up at her, now soaking wet with golden hair hanging down in front of his face, his blue-green eyes met hers. I don't know, can you help me? I mean beside trying to scare the wits out of me? Michael retorted irritably, slowly standing up with his clothes now clinging to him for dear life.

Cat pursed her lips at his angry outburst. She recognized him as a Gryffindor, but of course younger than herself. Tempted to yell at him to get lost, she shrugged in defeat. Pulling out her wand, she casted a hot air charm, quickly drying the boy off. "Dont be rude, you should be lucky I helped you at all." Cat replied plainly, glaring at the small boy in front of her.

"You're that Byrne kid, right?" Cat couldn't remember his first name, and she was shocked that she could remember his last name. Cat never really socialized with the young kids in her house, or anyone, really. "Michael?" Cat finally remembered it, but with difficulty.

Mike felt the hot air rush over him, and felt the anger leaving him with the cold water. Pushing the hair out of his face, he looked over the girl he had just yelled at, his shame bursting up to his cheeks and turning them red. Yeah, sorry about that. Quickly stepping out the water, he turned back to her and watched as she pondered him and his name.

Correct, and you're Cat Malcom. Reaching down, he itched the back of his left leg while watching her. So, what are you up too? He started conversationally, hoping to be forgiven for his momentarily outburst. But who wouldn't be mad if someone scared them and got them completely wet?

Cat relaxed when he apologized, realizing that once again, her temper got the best of her. She grinned easily at him, showing him that he was forgiven. "Quite alright." Cat saw his cheeks redden, and she raised a brow, wondering what he was getting embarrassed over.

"Correct. Five points." Cat didn't realize that he knew her, so the joke was said. She stepped out of the water and put her flats back on, sitting in the grass. "I wanted to get some fresh air before dinner." Cat admitted with a shrug. "What about you?" He was there, the least that she could do was be friendly.

Post by Aden Lautrec Tue Aug 28, 2012 7:44 pm

"Incommmmmmiiiinnnnnnnng!" came a loud shriek from above.

Through the canopy of the trees, Aden landed harshly on the ground near the two people talking, his body limp on the ground, face first. Attempting to ride his new broom outside of the Quidditch pitch hadn't been a good idea after all, Aden hitting a small tree nearby and practically throwing himself into the somewhat dense forest. Thankfully, he wasn't killed by the means of his ironic savior; dozens of branches that braced his fall and took away most of the impact. Sure, he had a few cuts and scrapes on his body, including a large scratch on his face, but the rambunctious first year was used to minor injuries like that. Plus, it gave him an adrenaline rush, something he always loved.

"Ugh..." he groaned, letting some of the pain subside. When you fell off a broom, the first thing on your mind wasn't to immediately push yourself up and try it again. You just wanted to lay there, face first, and hope to Christ you weren't dead. After a minute of just laying there, the first year moved his arms and began to push himself up, at a steady pace. "Ow," he said, as he removed a branch that had stuck into his arm. He rubbed the small puncture wound, a small trickle of blood emerging. Ehh, oh well, he'd visit the nurse later. To his surprise however, he noticed two people talking near the lake, landing only about ten feet away from them. Immediately switching to his 'fun person mode', a large smile appeared on his face and said "Hello!" Hopefully it wasn't too noticiable that he was holding his left arm, putting pressure on the small puncture wound. Hopefully he wouldn't get tetanus or something...if you got those from branches.
