The Woods Family:

Family History:

Kat Woods was a skilled in the art of dueling and after graduation till she met Marcus Woods was an enthusiastic member of multiple dueling teams. After meeting Marcus she developed a love for astronomy and the two began traveling the world.

Marcus Woods inherited a great deal of wealth after the death of his uncle however, much to his parents dislike rather then wisely invest the money Marcus spent it freely. After meeting Kat Woods he traveled the world studying astronomy and when at last the fortune began to run out he spent the last of it on a small farm in Western Virginia.

House:

The Woods family lives in a small farm in western Virginia. The farm consists of a main house, two external buildings (A study building for Kat and Marcus Woods’ research and a shed), and two small structures that serve as the chicken coop and sheep barn. The entire property is surrounded by an old wooden picket fence with a few palings missing here and there.  The property itself is divided by similar styled fences to make yards for the various animals being housed there. It is constantly needing tending too and when home, Leo does a majority of the work.



Family Structure/Dynamic:

Kat Woods: Mother

Kat Woods invests the most time in her children out of both her and Marcus. She's a little bit wild at times and very very straightforward and somewhat cheeky. She's not the typical cooking and cleaning motherly figure (hence why the house hold is always in some form of disarray). The time she spends with her children is normally spent teaching them how to duel or the occasional life lesson here and there. Kat currently works part time on her astronomy research but has had to pick up work as a charms and dueling teacher/tutor in order to meet monthly repayments.

Marcus Woods: Father

Marcus Woods is almost always holed up in his study and when he emerges it's only for short duration's. Relationships between him and his children are awkward at best. In the case of Leo these is an outright feeling of dislike. He presently works for a small astronomy researching company that pays a minimal wage but enough for the family to get by.

Leo Woods: Big Brother Figure

Leo Woods is the big brother figure of the family. He can be a bit overbearing and overprotective in Cassie's point of view but he is what he is because of Marcus' absence. Leo typically does a lot of the work around the farm when he isn't at school and will often take over the cooking when Kat is busy or Kasey has gone wandering off. Leo has a natural inclination to care for people and isn't likely to turn people in need away when they come visiting unless the pose a serious threat to the safety of his siblings however in the same vein he does not tolerate people who refuse to help themselves.

Kasey Woods: Honest Adventurer

Kasey helps out a bit here and there, doing some cooking helping with some repairs but most of the time you won't actually find her around the house. More so she will be out exploring or adventuring around the forest surrounding the farm. She tends to go head to head with Kat at times, who though accepts Kasey's independence believes her eldest daughter can be a bit pig headed and rash. Unlike Leo, Kasey doesn't see their current financial situation as her parent's fault in anyway and rather holds the optimistic perspective that life is much better this way. She places little value on needing things and holds the optimistic views of good over evil and things always getting better. Although Kasey doesn't feel the same responsibility Leo does to be there for the family or her siblings she is loyal by nature and thus isn't likely to just leave those around her behind. She lacks the heart to do that sort of thing. She is honest and straightforward in her ambitions and beliefs and mediates between Leo's more responsible nature and her uninvolved one.

Cassie Woods: Fighter, Logical One

Cassie is probably one of the only members of the Woods family who won't rush straight into things. She is the most logical in thought out of all of them and Leo and Kasey tend to look to her when dealing with big decisions that require a lot of thought. Cassie counters Kasey's more optimistic views of the world with pessimistic ones pointing out the negatives in order to counter the positives in life. She really has given up on the idea of being someone else and has resolved to take each day as it comes with a fresh and fierce attitude. She's naturally taken on the resilient, fighter like attitude both Kat and Leo share as well as Kasey's desire of independence. Cassie can usually be found doing the chores that just have to get done like feeding the animals and cleaning up after her siblings. She gets on well with Kat but has a non-existent relationship with Marcus having Leo to fill his role instead.

The Armour Family

House:

The Armour family live in majestic French-styled chateau  in a secluded, magic only community with in the UK. The chateau has an extensively large number of entertainment and guest rooms as well as a wing reserved only for family access.



Family Structure/dynamic:

Borya Armour: Father
Borya Armour is a man of reputation and high status. He is an authoritive, disciplined figure who knows how to work a crowd. His mind is focused on one thing. Establishing a good reputation for his family name. He is not afraid to enforce discipline and has instilled in his children that the best way to survive in this world is to build a name for yourself. Like the Armour name which he expects his children to uphold.

Alannah Alois Armour: Mother
Alannah is a caring but stern women. Unlike Borya she will accept the fact that her children may wish to chose their own paths in life however while under her roof she expects them to do as told. She is a brave woman at heart but ambitious. Having come from a poor family she gained her status through manipulation and decite in order to live a comfortable life. A path which she may regret now but will never admit.

Celaena Christina Armour: The Older Sister
Celaena is smart. There's really no other word for it. She simply understands how things work and if it wasn't for her natural bred ambition she most certainly would have being a ravenclaw. Celaena is a people person and much like her father knows how to work a crowd. Gaurded and defensive she has little to do with her younger siblings and is much more focused on getting out of the Armour household in the only way she knows how, through manipulation, brains and deceit.

Mira Jade Armour: The Quiet Middle Child
Mira Jade only ever appears when required. She always seems to have a rather blank or neutral face and responds in a neutral tone as if she had no opinon on matters whatsoever. The only member of the family sorted ino a hosue other then Slytherin Mira has a lot of thought going on beneath her silent surface but is more then aware that to display such thoughts would only cause trouble amongst the family.

Aideen Elaine Armour: The troublemaker
Aideen is the trouble maker of the children. Outspoken by her father's standards and disobedient she may not understand manipulation in the way her father expects but knows how to get what she wants in other ways. She is a planner much like Celeana but allows her anger to rule her thinking sometimes yet is usually persausive enough to get out of situations.

Dante Hill: The Big Brother (cousin)
Dante is a light hearted, honest and humorous guy. He likes to keep the peace and while he acts like a big brother to all the Armour girls he does believe that Aideen in particular needs to learn to sacrifice what she wants sometimes just to keep the peace.

Hecktor Hill: The Unwanted Brother/The Cheeky Uncle
Hecktor Hill, Borya's brother, is of the opinon that it doesn't matter what others think of you and there is no point wasting your life on useless things such as making a name for yourself. This causes hostility between Borya and Hecktor and makes for tense family meals.

Anthony Hill: The Dark Side
Dante's younger adopted brother, he is proud and opinionated and has a much more merciless side to him then people would expect. He's all about being on the winning side though he would never let others know it.

Developing Kasey Woods:

Personality overview:

If there ever was a witch or wizard who's personality matched perfectly with that of their wand that person is Kasey Woods. Though being an individualist is a core part of Kasey's personality she has an unusual talent for understanding people. She is perceptive to those around her taking in a lot more then some may think she is capable of. Admittedly Kasey's independent nature means she hardly ever feels the need to vocalise whatever subtleties she picks up on however when her friends face their demons Kasey will always face them as well.

She's unafraid of facing the demons of her friends nature and is willing to accept that such vices exist in the people around her. When it comes to the Devils in her own nature Kasey is equally unwavering in facing them, though her success in overcoming them may be limited.  Kasey has little regard for her safety, something which some people, like Leo view as her simple lack of awareness, while others may view as brave or bold. Quiet honestly Kasey is of the view that in a life where you only live once it's best to live it to the extreme. She's easily excited by the prospect of new adventures and easily bored by theories and lesson content which she finds unpractical or unhelpful to her immediate tasks.

The self sacrificing aspect of Kasey's nature comes from her willingness to confront face whatever battles her friends face no matter the damage to herself. Kasey, like Leo, is a bit of a mischief maker which most comes inadvertently from her adventurous side and less from the practical jokes she occasionally undertakes with Leo.

Kasey is also incredibly stubborn which works along side her risk taking attitude to a dangerous extreme. If it's fun but dangerous and Kasey decides to do it not even a siren could change her mind. And to top it of she'll argue about it with you too. Yes that's right Kasey is argumentative. She will argue and express the views no one else wants too (and usually these are the views she wants to follow).

If Kasey was sorted into a house she would either be Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. Gryffindor for her brave, confronting nature but Hufflepuff for the loyalty to the friends she has in facing their inner demons
