Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. There's always a catch Empty There's always a catch

DAY ONE

There's always a catch Fernando-de-Noronha-Brazil

Not long after arriving in Brazil, two girls by the names of Danielle Mulciber and Juliet Valentine broke off from the rest of the Mulciber family to go off exploring like they would do anywhere else. They would have their fun with the locals there, and probably pull a few pranks if they got the chance. It was just the way they were, pranksters til the end, and nothing could stop their fun. Of course, Brandon and Liberty had told Dani that she was too be back to their villa at the beach within two hours because they had something to talk to her about.

Dani had taken that as a passively threat for her not to be out too late. Still, after the two hours were up, she and Juliet returned to the villa after visiting the precious beach where the villa was located. It was a good thing that the two of them had changed into their swim suits before they left, because they were completely soaked when they came back. They entered the villa with dripping hair and bodies soaked from the water. They hadn't intended to get wet while they were down there, but they couldn't resist, after all it was a beach

The scene going on before them when they came back to the villa wasn't one they had expected to see though. Her mother walked up to them and whispered something in Dani's ear. With a raised eyebrow, Dani nodded and pulled Juliet toward the room the two of them were sharing. A few moments later they reappeared with completely different clothes. Instead of the rather revealing swimsuit she'd been wearing before, Dani now had on a dress that was a little less revealing. It was the only appropriate thing she had to wear with her right now. Brandon and Liberty waved Dani over as well as the parents and oldest child of the Dimitriov family. Still unsure what all this was about, Dani motioned for Juliet to stay where she was and she walked over to where her parents were waiting for her.

They quickly moved onto a different part of the villa and closed the door behind them, shutting the shades and everything so that no one would be able to hear what they were about to talk about. Liberty even went as far as to cast a protective spell around the area so that no one heard anything. Now Dani was really intriuged. "What's going on?" she asked her parents. "Have a seat Danielle." Brandon motioned to the table before them and she sat at one of the six places set there. "This is Petar and Ilia Dimitriov." Liberty introduced the parents and Dani smiled at them. "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Dimitriov." she said sweetly. "And this is their oldest son, Adonis." Brandon introduced the son. "Hello." Dani greeted him the same way she had his parents, but she extended her hand to shake his.

"He is going to be your fiancee." Liberty said abruptly. She always was one to get to the point. "What?!" Dani said, retracting her hand quickly and looking at her parents.

Ezra stood apart from his parents staring into space as he waited to find out why they had drug him along with them to Brazil. He was silent and his face seemed cold and hard. But there was something odd, maybe a hint of curiousness in his eyes? Adonis knew why little bits of why they were there. It was custom in his family to marry the person picked by ones Father. He was sure he would meet the one he would marry on this very day. The young man of seventeen couldn’t help but wonder one thing. Would he like this girl his parents had picked for him? They knew so little about him, how would they know the perfect girl for someone they knew so little about; But then again, not many new the true Adonis Ezra Dimitriov. Sometimes he wondered if he even knew himself.
The boy smirked when the two girls soaking wet and in bathing suits came walking into the villa seeming to be having the time of their lives. Quietly he watched some more as Mrs. Mulciber walked up to one of the girls whispering into her ear. This would be the one he was here for. This would be the one he would be forced to into a marriage with, but she would also be the one to spend the rest of his life with. It was quite possible that the two would get along.
The two girls left the room and his face once again became cold and hard, while he awaited her arrival. As he did wait he wondered what she would say and think when she heard the news. What would be her reaction? What would she think of him? Once she returned her mother motioned to her daughter Adonis and his parents to fallow her and her husband into a room where she placed silencing spells. And instead of looking at the girl he looked elsewhere away from her. He was afraid of what she would think, he had good reason to be as well, with her first word being a shouted ‘what?’.

She was not happy. Her eyes had narrowed and her expression had become cold. As she glared at her parents, Brandon coughed uncomfortably and looked away from his daughter. Liberty, on the other hand, returned her glare and Dani nearly growled something at her mother. She had only just turned sixteen and they were already planning who she'd be married too? That was unfair, and they knew it. Dani finally broke eye contact with her mother and she looked at the oldest son of the Dimitriov's. Dani raised an eyebrow at him and sighed. She would be stuck with him for the rest of her life? He didn't seem like much to her, and she didn't even know anything about him.

How would she get along with him? Did they have anything in common? She sighed again and leaned back in her chair, placing her hands on the table and tapping her nails on the glass surface. She needed to think about all of this. And if she was going to be stuck with him forever she needed to know more about him. Standing up from her seat, Dani looked at her parents once more and said, "Fine." Their faces immediately lit up and Liberty stood a moment after Dani, embracing her tightly. "I knew you would come around." she whispered in her daughter's ear. "Whatever." Dani answered in a cold voice. "Just give him a chance." Brandon said. "That's what I pan to do." Dani hissed at him.

She nodded toward the door and her parents knew she wanted to be left alone with him so that they could have some alone time to get to know each other. They both nodded and called over Adonis' parents. They told them what Dani wanted and after a quick glance at the sixteen year old girl, the four of them exited the room. The silencing spells remained intact though. Dani retook her seat at the table and she looked at Adonis, her expression going back a little to its normal form. "So ... Adonis." she said, nearly gagging at the name. "Tell me about yourself." she said, and she crossed her legs, making her dress slid up to her upper thighs, revealing more of her legs than she was supposed too.

Ezra had still not a said a word the entire time he was within the confines of the villa’s walls, and he had only looked at the girl once until their parents left the room leaving them alone. Still he was silent. He looked over at her the corner of his lip twitching up a little. “Ezra,” was all he said in a small quiet voice. After a moment or two he spoke again, “I knew this day would come. It is expected of our families.” He took a seat closer to her. “But there is not much to me.” He looked at her face, it was a familiar one. “You are the Slytherin girl who likes to pull pranks on people, mainly her brother.” He spoke softly, contradicting to his hard face. “Very entertaining to see the outcome.”

Dani raised an eyebrow as he began to speak. "Ah, so you can talk." she said in a soft voice. She looked down and played with the end of hee dress, pulling it up once and a while, just to see if she got a reaction out of him, but she made it seem like it was nothing more than an accidental tug that made the dress rise. "Ezra is better name than that first name of yours. It is your middle name I presume?" she asked him, with a playful glow in her eyes, signature of Dani. "As did I. I just hoped it wouldn't come now. But there's nothing that can be done about it now." she sighed and leaned back, gently pulling in her dress once more.

"So you do know something about me." Dani said, a smirk spreading across her lips. Well, at least he knew something about her, that meant less explaining about herself to him. "Nathaniel is too easy. I swear it's like he should've been in Hufflepuff rather than Slytherin." she let out a short laugh and smiled at him a bit. He wasn't as bad as she initially thought, at least he could get a laugh out of her. Still, she did need to know things about him before she knew if she could actually get along with him. "What kinds of things do you like and dislike?" she asked him.

"Like," Ezra said watching her with a small smile in his eyes, though he didn't pay much attention to the fact she keep pulling the skirt up little by little. "Well, Pranks are always good, Then the Arts and Quidditch. Sleeping in is always a godsend." He spoke softly, "But why so much about me? Why not a little about yourself?" he rolled up the sleeves of his button up shirt a little bit more. It was quite hot in South America, and he had made a bad decision in wearing jeans. "You wanted Dislikes too," He said and thought for a minute before saying one word, "Dancing."

So they did have something in common. Dani dropped the part of the dress she'd been pulling at and she sat up a bit. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow and smiled slightly. "What I like is simple." she said. "As you know, I like pranking." she added. She put her index finger on her lips as she thought about her other likes. "I also like to sing and a little Quidditch." she told him softly. Her smile grew when he said he didn't like dancing. She leaned back in get seat again and sighed. "Well, that makes two of us." she said.

They weren't all that different as she'd expected them to be. She felt like she could get along with him easily. So, now she didn't mind being stuck with him for the rest of her life. Maybe she could even have some fun with him, after all he did like pranks like she did. Even though she didn't know if he was a prankster too, or if he just liked pranks.

"Do you really want to stay here and talk? Maybe we could go for a walk on the beach or something?" Adonis asked waiting for her answer, "Get away from the parents for a bit?" The whole time they had Ben together his tone of voice nor facile expression had not change. "But only if you want to." He was trying to get them somewhere where they could relax a bit, and let the two of them be themselves.
Standing up he held his hand out to her. He was being a gentleman like person and offering to help her up. "I could even wait while you changed into something more comfortable if you wanted to." He didn't mind waiting on her now when he would be waiting on her for the rest of their lives. the only differance from now and them being that now he was waiting on a young lady and later on he'd be waiting on a woman.

"Of course I don't." she said. She smiled at his suggestion and nodded. "That sounds fine. It's better than staying here and doing nothing." she told him. She looked at him when he stood up and placed her hand in his gently. "That won't be nessesary. I'm fine like this." she told him. She looked at the door and sighed softly. "We should go out a different way. I don't want my parents to say anything right now." she told him and turned in the opposite direction of the door.

She looked at him again and sighed once more. She brushed her hair onto her back lightly and she pulled him gently toward the back of the villa. "It's better that they don't know we're leaving the villa." she smirked slightly.

There was a small hint of a smile or maybe it was a smirk, on Adonis's face as he fallowed Danielle through the villa. The two seemed to have some things in common, and she was very pretty. "Your probably right. My parents would say some pretty stupid things." He said. Ezra seemed able to open up to her a little more than he ever had any one else, maybe even more than his siblings, and they had only met a few moments ago. He had never told anyone about his love for the arts, performing or other wise, and no one could tell he liked the beauty of it from his outer almost hateful shell.
