And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Waiting - Page 2 Empty Re: Waiting

Post by Robert Lupin Sun Feb 12, 2012 2:38 am

Robert and Khaat wanted this more than anything. They had been working for months trying to find some way of undoing Gellert Grindlewald, but having a price on their heads had seriously inconvenieced them. Still, when they had done what they could do, they had returned to England, and had made an open show of defying the arrest warrants and had gone back to living openly.

Now the word finally came. There was a chance. The three of them left their posts at St. Mungos and apparated together to join the others. Their wands were at the ready. They scanned the area, recognizing many of the faces.

"Good evening," Robert greeted everyone. "Our apologies. We just heard. But we're more than ready to join this."

Waiting - Page 2 Empty Re: Waiting

Post by Michael Tremaine Sun Feb 12, 2012 2:44 am

A chance to kick some dead wizard behind? Michael wasn't missing that. He had been having a simple cup of tea with Kate and Angus in Sparks when the message finally came. An eager smile crossed all their faces. Robert's wife hadn't dueled in a long time but could generally hold her own. Angus loved to duel, and Michael, well, he just hated Grindlewald. They got up from the table in Sparks and barely took time to toss down a few galleons for the tea before they drew their wands and quickly apparated to meet the rest.

Michael was actually relieved that they hadn't missed it. Michael wasn't at all surprised to see Jack there and he walked over to within wandshot of her. Kate took a couple steps to join Robert. Angus stood alone.

"I'm glad you could make it," Robert said to them.

"Hello," he said to the rest of them before turning to Robert. "We wouldn't miss it."

Post by Naomi Barker-Greyback Sun Feb 12, 2012 8:18 pm

Naomi was ready to take off if she had to. She arrived and said hello to no one, just slipped amongst their ranks. She had to remain in the Death Eaters loyalties, yes, but Felix was allied with Grindelwald. She supposed if she helped enough in Grindelwald's capture, she could negotiate her fiance's (and her own) freedom better. But if things were going south and Felix was in jeopardy...

Well, she had a few tricks up her sleeves for such an occassion.

Post by Damon Fields Sun Feb 12, 2012 8:48 pm

Damon got word to get to the meeting place and he apparated into the blend of the others. "Sorry i'm late had a mishap where i was coming from." He said softly. He had his wand out and ready to take on anyone who they would see. He was in the center of the group as he looked around looking for any signs of movement. Damon had been in many fights but none as big as this one was surely going to be. He was getting antsy just standing there and waiting, the only thing he hated most was the waiting for the fight to begin.

Post by Marcus Dakota Sun Feb 12, 2012 8:53 pm

Marcus turned around. Another female Death Eater was present. She looked even more cut-throat than the huge guy. Then Marcus realized something. She was a werewolf. He always had that special ability to tell apart species. He shook his head in disappointment. Good thing tonight's not a full moon! he thought. Another person apparated and this time it was someone he recognized.

"Damon, how are you?" Marcus asked. They had been to the Three Broomsticks with a woman named Julia Traverse before.

Damon looked over when he heard his named and smiled, "Marcus. Good can't complain right now, how are you?" He asked moving towards him so that he was standing directly next to him. Then he looked one way then looked the other his wand still in his hand. "I wonder how long we will have to wait to see how this works out. I'd really hate it if this turns out to be nothing more than a trap." He said jesturing to the group they were in.

Post by Jess Potter Tue Feb 14, 2012 11:23 am

"Welcome," Jess said, a grin stretching across his face as he saw that more of his own people were arriving. He was particularly pleased to see that Damon was there, he was yet to fight with the man and was more than a little curious to see his style, and to get a feel for his skills.

"You're all fine with the plan?" He asked the newcomers, his previous demeanour beginning to creep back into his face, the frown slowly reappearing. "I must say, they're taking a little longer than I expected," He told them, a nervous note carrying through in his voice

Waiting - Page 2 Empty Re: Waiting

Post by Remy Devaul Tue Feb 14, 2012 7:02 pm

Remy was feeling significantly outnumbered as several more ‘pop’s brought in new reinforcements from the Order. For all their talk, the Death Eaters certainly weren’t sending a large representation from their members to this little get together. Remy was beginning to wonder if she should have come at all. She had gotten away with missing the Battle of Hogwarts without getting caught, but in this case, that might be pushing her luck. The chaos at Hogwarts had been much greater than what she anticipated here, so she would be less likely to go unnoticed in the crowd.

Jess was frowning in her direction, most likely because he was recognizing her from the few times she had tried to distract him with her femme fatale persona at parties over the past few years. She had never mentioned her Death Eater affiliation, but then again, he had never mentioned he was in charge of the freaking Order of the Phoenix. Not that Remy hadn’t known the man had power – she just didn’t know how much.

But the look he was giving her now meant her chances were low. It didn’t mean she would give up entirely, but just that she would weigh her options next time she saw him out and about.

“Got it,” Remy said in response to Jess’s confirmation that Ne’Os was downstairs with Grindelwald, feeling slightly relieved that she wasn’t the only Death Eater to have bothered showing up. Remy still wasn’t completely certain how Ne’Os was planning to kill Grindelwald, as he had said in their last meeting, but the boy was nothing if not overconfident. Maybe they’d get lucky and Emof would just finish him off and Remy could go home and sleep with Eric.

As more and more people arrived – most of them Order, though Remy spotted tiny Naomi through the crowd – Remy began to get antsy. Her entire job within the Death Eaters was to remain anonymous and gather intelligence. With so many order members getting a good look at her, her job was going to be increasingly hard in the future.

Waiting - Page 2 Empty Re: Waiting

Post by Silvyr Svan Sat Feb 18, 2012 6:59 pm

The air was steady around the group that had appeared. Silvyr remained standing with his eyes closed visualizing everything that the night might contain. He remembered his safe house if things took a turn for the worst.

His thoughts changed to the talk that he had had with Aaron the night before.

__________

Silvyr sat in a chair with Leah by his side watching while Aaron held a soon to be wand in his hand at his desk. His hands were like perfect scales balancing the weight evenly and without effort. His study was lit by only a few candles though it was more than enough light to see by. Half his face must have been lit for a shadow cast towards Silvyr of the mans silhouette.

He could tell the wheels were turning inside the mans head. Aaron was the only man he had met that could sit in a chair and not say a word, all the while keeping him on pins and needles. Finally the silence was broken. "I won't be joining you tomorrow." His words piercing through the still air. "This war though needed is not of interest to me. I will expect you to act in my stead. Kill anyone who stands in your way."

In his hands SIlvyr noticed an envelope had quickly replaced the wand that he had been toying with. His voice broke through the silence again, "If you are armed to do what you have sworn to do then you will make it out alive. If not........ well then you were never fit to hold the position you seem to so enjoy."

Silvyr watched as Leah stood from her restful position and walked to Aaron grabbing the letter with a snap and bringing it back to him. She had still not warmed up to Aaron. SIlvyr knew why. She hated the man who could scare her master. That would all change, in time though. Soon the world would change for the better. Equality would be the rising order. The Death Eaters and Order just hadn't figured it out yet.... They were doomed.

Leah's body brushed the outside on Silvyr's leg and instantly they apparated to their home. SIlvyr took the note from Leah before they made their way down to the basement. His lifted his hand and obediently the candle light rose as well. He looked over the list of names Aron had handed him. A list they were supposed to accomplish together was now left to him.

The water ran over his head as he tried to clear his mind before his night began. The world refused to stop spinning. He sat down and felt the water fall over him. He allowed his thoughts to slip into the inevitable. He and Leah would die.

His body remained in the same position as he allowed the words to wash through his soul and attach to whatever it could find. His eyes flashed swiftly behind their lids. He was far from his shower floor he had sat down on.

Faces, spells, screams, and blood filled his thoughts as he visualized each target. Each kill had to be meticulous and clean. If he waisted to much time or energy then he would not succeed.

His eyes opened with a flash. He knew what he had to do.

_____________

His eyes opened with the thought and he checked his watch wondering if his new friend had responded like he said he would through the letter. Silvyr hoped so. The people surrounding him looked like they were getting ready for tryouts of their houses quidditch team. He had already spotted a few of them who he hoped would get taken out first. A thought came to him then went just as quickly. "Keep it simple and quick. Do not get side tracked. But if there's time you might be able to pick off that one at the least." His inner voice chiming in, "You always had a thing for brunettes."

He looked over to Jess with as much as a questionable look as he could make. He wanted to scream out. "Are You Focking Kidding Me!?" but held himself together. Jess had to know as well as he did that if more didn't show up then the chance of winning was gone. It was time for him to start calculating the chances of survival as Silvyr had been since he arrived. With the way things looked now most of them were looking at a 25% chance of making it to see tomorrow. And that was pretty good odds for most of them.

That is if they weren't on the list.

Waiting - Page 2 Empty Re: Waiting

Post by Whight Linstrum Sun Feb 19, 2012 7:34 pm

Whight adjusted himself in the mirror before leaving. He looked down and flipped through a few pages in his journal before tucking it away inside his coat. He then slid a hand across the outside of his pocket to ensure his wand was where it should be. After taking one last look at himself, he left.

The letter he had received from Silvyr was vague and direct all in the same. Whight could tell that something on a grad scale was in the works. As for the finer details, there were none. Aaron had been mentioned so Whight knew this was an appearance he had to make regardless of what would be taking place. There was also the trust Whight had for Silvyr. He knew the man, now friend, would have his back in whatever they were getting involved in; their mission capturing the Deputy Prime Minister had proved that.

He arrived on time to where Silvyr had instructed. Whight glanced around upon his arrival to take in the looks of confusion and dismay that were cast in his direction from everyone, including his Silvyr. He looked to his friend and gave a nod to gesture who he was. Whight soon expected wands to be pointed his way so he stood silent and still with his arms to his side until Silvyr made Whight's introduction.

As Silvyr spoke, Whight surveyed the group. Such an odd mix of wizards and witches, he thought. Then he noticed the stress and tension in the air that came from everyone standing around him. This meeting was perhaps on an even larger scale than anticipated. He looked back to Silvyr to display is own confusion. He gave a look that want some answers.
