Welcome to Potter’s Army

Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

Waiting Li9olo10

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Waiting Empty Waiting

Post by Jess Potter Thu Feb 09, 2012 5:59 am

Jess appeared in the dinghy looking alley with a 'pop' sound, immediately stepping behind a nearby dumpster and awaiting the arrival for the rest of his cohorts.

The hour they'd been waiting for was upon them, as he stood there Ne'os, Zada and Gellert were in some room below them, all they had to do was wait for the signal now and all hell would break loose. He shifted uneasily as the sound of around 10 more people apparating punctured the air, his eyes scanning the group for any signs of an intruder before he relaxed again.

"Is everyone ready?" He asked, glancing over the bin at the atrium's street entrance before resuming his scan around the alley.

Waiting Empty Re: Waiting

Post by Silvyr Svan Fri Feb 10, 2012 1:44 am

Silvyr and Leah spun through the blur that past by their bodies. The world stopped and Silvyr looked around to see who had chosen to show up already. He noticed the answer to his question, not many. Suddenly a few other people appeared around him and he guessed who they might be. Though he had flash of a thought, a hope that the majority of arriving people be Order rather than Death Eaters.

He moved through some of the people recognizing a few faces yet not needing or wanting to talk to them. He had his orders and he knew that he wouldn't want to be in the middle of a group if a trap had been placed. His back found the buildings exterior wall to his right as he watched a few other witches appeared. Leah began to sniff the air harshly right before a man's voice sounded out. Silvyr didn't need to see the man's face to verify who had spoken. It was nice to know that his "Leader" was here already. Silvyr thought again, "Nice gesture Jess, but definitely not unsettling."

He checked his thoughts again and settled his mind. He would have to focus, calculate, and anticipate to make sure that he and Leah made it out alive.

Waiting Empty Re: Waiting

Post by Marcus Dakota Sat Feb 11, 2012 6:40 pm

Marcus quickly apparated to where the ambush would take place. When he arrived, he saw that a few others surrounded him, ready for the same thing.

"Silvyr. Jess," he said to his fellow Order members. Somewhere around here, he had heard the saying "patience was a virtue". Well he couldn't wait to start firing spells at the enemy. And he was also prepared for the Death Eaters to try something funny while in battle.

Marcus didn't necessarily trust the Death Eaters, even while in an alliance with them. Once we were done with this or even in the process of it, he thought they would stab the Order in the back and he couldn't stress it enough that they would. At this moment there was only two particular words on Marcus's mind:

STAY ALIVE

Waiting Empty Re: Waiting

Post by Remy Devaul Sat Feb 11, 2012 8:34 pm

Remy preferred her motorcycle for getting around, but that plan of action was not going to be practical for this evening's venture. Instead, she had made a fellow Death Eater, a big brute she had entertained a few times in the past, apparate the pair of them into the alley that was the rendezvous place. Though he might not have been the brightest bulb on the tree, he knew how to apparate, and Remy trusted him not to splice her. In any event, it would have been better than any attempt Remy could have made at the means of travel.

As her feet landed heavily on the ground, Remy detached herself from the hulk of a man next to her - Eric, his name was - and looked around to spot Jess and two other young men that she recognized by sight, though not by name. She was the only woman there - odds Remy always preferred.

"Evening, Gentlemen," Remy said, nodding briefly in the direction of each of her cohorts, "I trust you all came ready for a rumble," she added with a smirk as Eric guffawed next to her. She could hear his knuckles cracking as he relished the thought.

Waiting Empty Re: Waiting

Post by Jaquellene Jack Dyllan Sat Feb 11, 2012 8:45 pm

Jack appeared at the spot, cursing under her breath as she rubbed a burn on her forearm. Stupid, stupid interns, getting in her way and causing the young dragon to burn her. She had to report to work to make sure there were no suspicions, and had been on her way out when the intern had released the young dragon by accident. Jack had had time to shove the creature back into its stall before apparating out. Stupid, stupid interns.

Apparating didn't take her far, but iut got her off of her department's level. She approached her group, eyes recognizing all but one of their company. At a closer look, she knew this man, just not very well. M-something or other. She caught eyes with Silvyr briefly and nodded before catching Jess' eyes and giving him another tip of her head to show him that she was more than ready. Whatever wa going to happen, she would fight to the end of it. What choice did she have?

Marcus heard a sudden pop when a two Death Eaters cam into sight. One of them, a woman, greeted all Marcus, Silvyr, and Jess.

"Good Evening. I have never been more prepared," he said with a slight bit of hostility in his voice. The other Death Eater, a man, cracked his knuckles as if he was going to duel this second. Marcus gave him a very cold look and turned away from the two.

"What a good introduction from the two, Jess," Marcus whispered. "The incredible hulk is obviously ready for battle."

Marcus gripped his wand that stuck from his pocket in case they tried anything funny. All of a sudden, Jack apparated. "Hey Jack," he said with a smile.

The man greeted her and she swuinted at him for a moment before she realized where she knew him from. He had visited her store, Weasleys', and had purchased some of her inventory. Funny, how Jack barely remembered the name of some of her interns (the ones she hated, anyway, because they were, well, stupid) but she could remember a customer.

"Hey," she said in a casual, mild voice. She was not frightened by their venture, so she was not nervous and unafraid to speak, but she also knew the gravity of the situation and knew that talk did not serve to help anyone, so she left her greeting at that. She glanced over at Remy, a woman she could not trust, but was familiar with. She was, after all, bartending at Satan's now. Remy looked undaunted by this situation- her escort could hardly look more serious, however.

Waiting Empty Re: Waiting

Post by Jess Potter Sun Feb 12, 2012 2:28 am

Jess frowned and opened his mouth, ready to cut the idle chit chat down, before he caught himself. No one was out here to overhear them, in fact if they were within earshot they would probably be in sight as well. The Idle banter would probably put them at ease... well, at least more ease than complete silence would bring. He did, however, allow himself to look at Remy and give a very clear frown in her direction ((Unless she looks different and I somehow missed that up above, in which case ignore that last sentence Amelia.))

"So, is everyone fine with the plan?" He asked, his face drawn into a look of what he hoped was neutrality (cheerfulness or joy wasn't really going to meet his mood, in all honest he was nervous as all hell.)

"Your leader," he said suddenly, looking at Remy, the man next to her and several other Death Eaters, "he's down there, trying to lull Grindelwald into a false sense of security. When our signal arrives, we attack," he explained
