What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Learning to fly - Page 3 Empty Re: Learning to fly

Chase realized just how badly Adam was hurt in a moment and suddenly looked incredibly worried. "Oh no! Adam are you alright? I think you have some broken ribs!" And with that sentence went into healer mode. It was like a flick had been switched in her head and she was completely forgetting about anything else, she moved to Adam and put her hand on his chest, gently pressing on them, and then sighed. "Broken ribs.." She said shaking her head. "I am so sorry, I didn't know I was that heavy.." She said and then blushed. "Maybe the baby.." She froze and then sighed and looked at Eli before pulling out her wand again, letting the broom fall to the ground beside her. "Just let me fix him up Eli okay? Real fast." She waved her wand and muttered a few things. "Not perfect.. man I wish I knew more.." She bit her lip and then sighed. "At least they won't puncture anything.. like a lung or something.. but you REALLY need to go to Madam Pomfrey or something.. is anything else broken?" She asked looking concerned.

Chase looked at Eli and smiled slightly, not even realizing the tension that had grown between the two. All she saw was her one true love, Eli, and the guy who had been helping her learn how to fly, Adam. But that's when she realized that both boy's had their wands out. "Hey." She said suddenly straightening up and looking at them both critically. "What..." She bit her lip and turned her head to the side slightly, her eyes going between them both before shaking her head. "Are you really? Elijah, please." She moved to him and put her hand on his, gently removing his fingers from his wand and sliding it back into his pocket. "Calm down luv." She whispered and kissed his cheek, moving a strand of hair out of his face. "Now calm down." she said with a soft giggle before she bounced back to Adam and looked him over again. "What else hurts?" She stared at him critically, her mind going through all of the different spells she knew that could help mend bones, but he would need to get a potion or something to help heal those up completely.

Adam wasn't aware of anything really. He was just going along with what was going on. When his ribs were partially healed he stood straight and could move. He caught the tone of Elijah's voice and felt his heart begin to race and his ears warm up. He was in fight mode now. He looked at Elijah, not taking his eyes off of him. "I'm fine zanks Chase." he said not leaving Elijah's gaze. He knew his skull was probaby fractured as his headache was much worse now. If there was to be a duel he was in no condition to win. He took the broom which was now on the ground and put his wand away. He wanted to try and act partially civil. He couldn't get the tone Elijah was adressing him in out of his head. He knew it was the jealous boyfriend in him. However the secret love was trying to break out of Adam.

He gave Elijah a dirty look and began to walk towards the stadium exit but stopped. He turned back to look and Chase and made sure Elijah was looking at him. He gave her the most flirtatious smile he could ever give anyone. He wanted to piss that Elijah off so much it wasn't funny. He made his rival for this year easier than last year. But why was he acting like this? He never acted like this....ever! "J'ai vu la façon qu'il a regardée sa jupe ... oi vey. Elle mérite mieux que cela!" he muttered under his breath as he walked towards the exit.

Broken ribs weren’t a walk in the park, Elijah could sympathise with the foreign there. It was painful to breathe and it hurt like the dickens if you couldn’t help but laugh at something or someone one. But despite the comprehension, Elijah didn’t feel sorry for Adam. He was grateful that the foreign caught Chase and took the force of the landing but Elijah still believed that it was Adam that was in the wrong. He shouldn’t have let Chase fly if he wasn’t in complete control. He had to have a handle on the situation and he hadn’t had any control over what had happened. He hadn’t been poised for the worst to occur while Chase had been flying the broom. He hadn’t been anticipating anything would go wrong – that was why he was in the wrong; because he let it happen.

Elijah’s eyes flicked to Chase’s face when he felt her take his wand from his hand and he smiled softly, nodding in consent. He leaned into her slightly when he felt her lips on his cheek and he smiled once more, his eyes sparkling. When Chase joined Adam once more a gust of air left Elijah’s lungs. He stared at the small scene, watching as she fretted over him like a mother would her children. He would need to see one of the Healers in the Hospital Wing. Healing was an interesting thing but it wasn’t something anyone could do, the pain Elijah went through the summer was proof enough of that. Brienne’s spell had ruined the skin more than the burns had and the skin where the burns had been was paler than the rest of his hand.

That night had been particularly interesting. He’d seen old faces, realised that Sadie was still angry and that Ella was just as irritated. After that intern tried to burn the skin off of his hand he’d decided that Hospital weren’t his cup of tea which was probably why he’d been worried about Thierry. But Thierry, although moody, dealt with pain better than Elijah did. Thierry remained silent and would hiss if something hurt where as Elijah would moan and complain and scream if someone poked something that hurt – especially if they were incompetent, then he’d do it just do it irritate them into giving him up to another Healer.

Elijah watched Adam as Adam watched him and noted the dirty look he threw at him. Elijah cocked an eyebrow at the French boy and smirked. He watched the boy walk away and relaxed, only to become irate moments later when Adam’s voice met his ears, sweet French delving in. Elijah’s eyes narrowed and he took his wand out of his pocket, flicking it at Adam and sending a spell that would in theory knock the boy off of his feet. “Dire que de nouveau et je vais voir à ce que tous les os de votre corps est brisé!” Elijah yelled.

Chase felt herself relax as Adam started to walk away, not looking to bad, and then she heard something in french under her breath. She only caught a few words, like skirt, and better, but suddenly Eli had his wand out and had flicked a spell towards Adam. "Elijah! Stop it!" She cried out, putting her arm on his and holding onto it. "Fighting is no way to deal with a situation!" She said looking up at him pleadingly. She didn't know what he had yelled at Adam, while he was throwing the curse, but it didn't sound very happy. Whatever had been said had made Elijah really angry.

Chase held onto his arm, and her fingers rested over his on the handle of his wand. "Elijah... calm down.. shh, stop." She said gently, her voice taking on a calm, motherly tone. It was like she was dealing with a healing situation, where the person was distressed and she had to take care of them. She talked with a quiet, even tone, and it almost always seemed to relax the person visibly, letting them relax while whatever was happening happened. "Eli... calm down luv." She said gently and slowly started to pry his fingers off his wand, very carefully. "Come on Eli.." She said gently and looked up into his face, seeing how angry he was, she balked and took a small step backwards. She hadn't really seen Elijah angry before, and it almost scared her. Even when Andrew had punched him he hadn't gotten mad, but now? Now that a guy had said something about her skirt, which she was still having a hard time believing that something like THAT could cause spells to be thrown. She took a small step away from Elijah, and felt a flicker of panic and almost fear cross her face before she looked over at Adam to see if he was okay.

Adam was well aware that what he had said would meet the boys ears. He was well aware he had just pissed off Elijah with those words more than he could with anything. Naturally, he was ready for any spell. He had been taught to be aware, it was the fact he had already finished Seventh year. He dodged and rolled to the right which was a bad idea. Perhaps he should've let himself take the hit. Cause now he was in more pain than before. He staggered up and looked at Elijah. "I look forward to eet," he said smirking, his eyes narrow. There was no way he was being embarassed right now. He wasn't in any condition to duel anyway but he couldn't help it. "You shall 'ave to do better zan zat," he said loudly. He then hopped on his broom and rode off, which wasn't good for him. The blood was pounding in his ears and he could barely feel any pain. It was his anger, he was too angry for his liking. He pulled down outside the carriage and stepped off his broom. After all, we are all aloud our moments when we amaze ourselves. He hadn't crashed but he was sure he broke something else when he dodged the spell that came from Elijah.

He slumped down against the large carriage and put his face in his hands. The question he continually asked himself was simple enough. Why had he acted like that? That was the question that floated through his mind. Another one was how had he NOT been hit by that spell. The voice in his head had warned him...well more or less. "Kid, spell coming at twelve o'clock!"...this voice was slightly helpful. He groaned and pulled his face out of his hands. He was surely screwed if anyone exited the carriage or if anyone wanted to enter. But he had Hogsmeade with Peter to look forward too yet today. He smiled to himself, he couldn't wait to tell Peter about this. Perhaps he'd simply stay away from the Hogwarts Quidditch Pitch unless he was with Peter.

He chuckled and smiled, ah he would give anything for Cerby to be with him right now. That massive dog could cheer anybody up. He was a German Sheppard Lab mix and was as sweet as Adam was. He was protective though. He trusted Peter and that was about it. Once he got to know people though he would treat them as if they were Adam. Althought not as much, Adam was his master and greatest friend. He had sent a letter to his dad and had yet to speak with Madame Benoit about it. But his father could come up with a valid argument about it. Find a way to allow Madame Benoit to let Cerby stay with him; with certain regulations of course. He was sure he looked pretty bad and regretted entering the carriage to put his broom away. He regretted more having to walk to Hogwarts to find Madame Benoit.
