Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Ah, Learning. Empty Ah, Learning.

Jack sat in the library, staring ahead into space, his mind wandering. He was in class to study, but he got off track when a 7th year Gryffindor girl walked past him. He was that kind of guy. Jack was now staring off at a random book across the library, trying to read the title, with a stack of books above his head on his right, and a pile of broken quills and empty ink bottles on his left. He was in the middle of writing notes on some curses he planned to use when someone made fun of him next time.

Jack sat there silently, watching the book, and looked back at his notes page. Ah, Screw it. He thought crossly, slamming the book he had on his lap shut and placing it on top of the pile by his head, where he had to stand up to reach it. Then, grabbing his favorite quill and dipping it in the quill, Jack began to doodle. He drew an array of different Magical Creatures along with some cartoon characters from muggle T.v. shows. At one point Jack began to draw Spongebob, a famous cartoon character from when he was a kid living in the muggle world.

What was the point of homework? It irritated Danny that every night some teacher had to give them homework. Well, except for one teacher, and that was Professor Barker. Danny liked him, as in looked up to him. She knew he was a fan of the Dark Arts as she was, and whenever she could she would stay after class to ask him random questions about that. He was cool to Danny, no not just cool, he was awesome. Everyone else hated him especially this particularly feisty third year she had run into a few days ago. The girl muttered something about Barker being a monster, and Danny had almost hexed the stupid girl for saying such things about her favorite professor but she had held back. The girl had known that Danny had been disturbed by her comment and she smirked about it. The nerve of that pipsqueak! Danny had only walked away from her, just to keep her cool and not go crazy on the girl.

The last thing Danny needed right now was to get in trouble. She already had enough of getting in trouble, even if she would serve the detention with her favorite professor, and her father would be very angry with her and she definitely didn't want her father to punish her for something a little third year made her do. Danny had too much work to do to be worrying about that girl anyways, so she had decided to go to the library. Not that it would help her that much anyways. But she at least had to try to get something done. Although it didn't take her long to get bored of doing work and she began to draw on a sketch pad she had 'found' in the Slytherin Dorms. Danny wasn't a bad drawer, she was actually really good, but she didn't think so about herself. She mostly likes to draw the scenery, and animals. Basically just her surroundings and that's what she began to do.

Jack sat silently, the parchment he was using now filling up with various cartoons and pictures. He looked closely at the piece of paper, making distinct details in his drawings. Finally, after a while, the initial shock of procrastination hit him like a train. Jack sat up straight, looking his homework like it was the most terrifying thing he's seen. He had messed up his paper. The paper has so many cartoons drawn on it, it was barely recognizable.! He cursed, taking the sheet, and crumbled it up. He tossed it into the aisle next to him, before quickly grabbing another parchment sheet and began writing out his homework once again, flipping through the pages of his book randomly, once again doodling on the corners of the parchment.
