Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Dane chuckled at her, "You can't apparate?" he said grinning at her. Of course she was working, how stupid of him to ask. He didn't know why he was asking, it was common sense that she had to work. He couldn't just keep ignoring his conscience. "Oh Jemma, you can't get away for a few hours?" he asked grinning. WHAT THE HELL WAS HE DOING?

[[OOC: So totally didn't mean to post the last reply on Ben! *headdesk* And sorry for the late reply.]]

He knows perfectly well that I can apparate. Everyone can. I so wish I could sneak out from Hogwarts. How could I do that though? He knows I need to work! Why does he keep having to make me feel guilty for not going? He has no idea just how much I wish I could go. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Ahh!

Jemma was thinking. Or arguing with herself, might be a more appropriate term. The problem was, Jemma was the kind of woman who loved her job and couldn't bare to loose it. She would do everything within her power to keep it. Sneaking out would be a very big risk to her.

"I guess...I can try to come. But no promises. It depends how things go at school and such." Jemma finally told him, though still not giving him a definite answer. She didn't have one herself though, so she could hardly give him one.

"Alright..I might not even make the show myself" he said. "There's always a very small chance of some Death Eater or other attacking someone" he said. He was pushing her...that didn't look good. "Jemma, its okay you don't need to come" he added. "I just don't want to seem like I'm pushing you or anything"

Wait, hold on a second. He might not make the show himself? He's inviting me to a show where he might not even be there? Or might he not be there, because I'm not there? No, don't think like that! Don't! Jemma forced herself to stop thinking and get back into the real world.

"No, it's fine. I'll try to get there, I'd love to be there, it just depends how things go tomorrow at school." she told him. Though if he might not be there, is it worth me attempting to get out of school to get there?

He was ruining this, he didn't know what to do. On the outside he was cool, on the inside he was screaming. He always messed things up somehow...ALWAYS. He had to think of something to say quickly before she left. "So, umm. Do you like music?" he asked. Maybe he could save this conversation after all.

Phew. Change in conversation. Thank Merlin. I don't think I could have coped with that for much longer. To go, or not to go? Don't think about that. Move on, Jemma, move on. He didn't mean it like that. That's why he changed the subject.

"Yeah, I do, though I don't get to listen to it as much as I would like." she replied.

Jemma just stopped herself from returning the question. He was doing shows and such, of course he liked music.

"What kind of music do you like?" she asked him.

"Well I personally I like the muggle band" he said breaking off. "They're all dead now, the members I mean. But the band called "The Who"" he said. He looked at her, finally he wasn't screwing things up. He was making conversation. He could do that before but, not with Jemma.

[[OOC: Was ill yesterday, so sorry I didn't reply.]]

Muggle music? Really? Wow. I've heard a fair bit, just from living in London. But to find another wizard who likes them? Well, that's unusual to say the least. I do recognise the name, The Who, they were pretty famous I think. One of the older bands - around when we were young! My mum loved Muggle music, until dad left. I remember when we saw a concert together. Can't remember who it was of, though. Pity...

"Really? Nice. I hear Muggle music a fair bit, as I live in London, music seems to play a lot more of a part in Muggle society than in Wizarding society, it seems. she commented.

"Have you ever seen Muggle bands play live?" she asked him, curious.

OoC:No its fine lol. We all get sick don't we Wink

Dane had a smile on his face, he was actually making conversation. It was a little awkward, but it was still conversation. "London?" he asked. "I live in France..." he said grinning. He really loved France, he had moved there with his mother after his father passed away. Then when she passed, he left him the house....he quickly got on the next stop on his railway of thought and looked at her. "No, sadly. I've never seen muggle bands play" he said sighing. "I've just never found the time between my shows and managing my Mothers will and such" he said.

France? He must spend a fair bit of time over here, if he's an Auror, though. Still, France... Wow. Where Marie is. And where mum was from.

"France? Wow. My mother was French. My daughter's living there at the moment, actually." she told him, before realising what she had said.

BUGGER. I just mentioned Marie. He might think I'm like married or something now. Maybe he might think I'm not? Ahhh! I had to go mentioning her, didn't I? Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap. I'm not thinking straight. I should think straight!

Jemma heard him say he hadn't seen any bands play, but she was too busy wrestling with her thoughts to reply to that.

Shit. What have I done now?
