Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

The school year hadn't started more than a month ago, yet Katherine was already working on essays for her fall term classes. They weren't all that interesting, considering the two she had planned for the weekend were for classes she wasn't actually interested in. It wasn't her fault, exactly, considering she had been away for so long. She was doing the same coursework she had done the fall term before, and had no real drive to do it all over again.

That said, it was taking her far longer than she had hoped to actually complete the work necessary.

A heavy sigh left Kit as she let her chin rest in her palm. It was just dreadful, honestly. Ravenclaw or not, Katherine wasn't the same as she had once been. The Kit from a year ago would have been interested in reading up on anything at all, not just whatever was new. But now she was just trying to decide who she was and what she wanted. Everything looked different, and everyone seemed to act differently. Frankly, Katherine was at a loss as to how to handle herself.

So, regardless of the fact that her work was dull and the library was quiet, Kit kept to herself and endeavored to get her work done. It was quite a struggle, though, and she merely ended up staring off into the distance.

Unlike many other students, Darius took this school year a bit more easy than some. He did not know the reason. Maybe it was because he did not care enough, maybe he simply was too confident in his own skills to work on the things that were always so critical and serious. That did not mean he did not do any researches or studying. On the contrary, he spent quite some time in the library either reading or simply spending time there. This happened to be the one and only place where silence was cherished more than anything and he loved being there.

Today he decided on returning some old books he had borrowed when he saw an oddly familiar face there, alone.

He did not remember where exactly he had seen her (besides the fact that they were schoolmates). Maybe they shared some classes? Or maybe she was one of those hyper active girls that everyone seemed to know. Either way, for him it was better to sit and talk with someone than be alone. Currently he wasn't even in the mood of studying.

Approaching her, Darius smiled confidently and charmingly. He was aware of his looks and how it all worked on girls, hence he was too confident in himself. Cocky even at times.

"Hey," he greeted Kit. "Mind if I sit here?"

Katherine looked up, surprised to find that the Slytherin was talking to her at all, nonetheless wanting to sit with her. It wasn't that he was a Slytherin that surprised her. Or even the fact that he was indeed quite attractive. No, it was because something about her had seemed to interest him. Her! Kit was, as ever, at a loss as to how she could be of use to anyone outside of her capacity as one of the more influential Dark Followers. With her father being wh he is, and her grandfather having been who he was, Kit had quite a lot of pull among her classmates. Or, at least, the ones of the same mindset as she.

This boy, Katherine was sure, she had seen before. But he was older. They should have been a year apart in schooling, as they were in age, but with her absence, she had been pushed back so they were two years different in terms of classes. But she still blinked up at him in silence for a moment as she attempted to refocus her thoughts, having to pull them back from her daydreaming about seeing Sharon. The woman was something of a grandmother figure (which Kit had never really had), so she supposed it could be excused.

"I- um, sure," she agreed finally, nodding and gesturing awkwardly to the chair next to her. For one so classically pretty, Kit had never been the sort to act so shy and withdrawn. That wasn't to say she was egotistical in any way, but rather that she had known her duty as a Pureblood daughter, and had wanted to fill her role properly. Now, she wasn't entirely sure what she was meant to do, no matter how much she respected her father ad what he believed their family was supposed to be or do.

"Have we met before?" She asked, having to wonder if her father perhaps knew his parents. Maybe they had been introduced at a Pureblood event if he was one.
