You Wanted to Hang Out, Right?

Going out for a fun time was definitely a first for Mr. Rutger, let alone a planned get together with multiple people. It had been a week since the fateful day Jonathan had encountered Sierra Logan and here he was now, on his way to Hogsmeade this Sunday afternoon to go meet up with her yet again. He was to meet up with her and some of her friends, but Sierra did mention the possibility of just the two of them being the only ones to make it, so he didn't sweat it. Jonathan stopped and waited by the entrance of the Three Broomsticks, thinking that they would all meet up there. Sierra didn't give him an exact time to be there, but he was certain that he was a bit early. Jonathan was the type of person to arrive early the a majority of things.

He looked around the open area, searching for any sign of Sierra. All he really would see were small groups of students walking in and out the different shops along Hogsmeade. Jonathan checked his wrist and muttered under his breath. He hoped he was stood up or anything-- Sierra wasn't that type of person, was she? She seemed like a very sweet and honest girl so he doubted the idea.

Sierra woke up late that morning and realized she had promised to Jonathan at the Three Broomsticks at 8. That was 15 minutes ago. She screamed and jumped out of bed. She quickly got dressed and did her hair and makeup and practically flew out of the castle. She ran all the way to Hogsmeade and looked around as her feet hit the cobblestone paths of Hogsmeade. She finally saw him waiting at the entrance of the Three Broomsticks. "Jonathan!" She said and ran over to him. She caught her breath, "I'm so sorry I'm late. I overslept." She was pink in the face from running all the way here. "Sorry, but it's just gonna be us today. The other couldnt come. They're back at the castle watching Ciara."

"Hm?" Jonathan caught the sound of his name and looked up from the ground and saw Sierra making her way over to him. She look as if she had rushed far too quickly out of bed this morning. It was a good thing this was just a friendly outing instead of something formal. He chuckled lightly at her. "It's fine, no worries," he said. "I'm just glad that you're here at least." He walked over and held the door open for Sierra so she could go inside first. It was a typical thing he did for every girl. He was always taught by his parents to be polite to girls, no matter who they were. "You wanted to look around, right?"

Sierra smiled as Jonathan held the door open for her, "Thank you. What a gentleman." She smiled and stepped inside. "Yeah totally. But first, I want a butterbeer." She made her way to a booth and sat down. She patted the spot beside her for Jonathan to sit next to her. She pulled some galleons out of her pocket and smiled when the waitress came over, she ordered herself a Butterbeer and turned to Jonathan, "You want anything? My treat."

He gave a nod in thanks to Sierra then followed her inside the Three Broomsticks. He went over and sat down across from her at the booth she picked out for them. As he watched her pull out her money, he began pulling out his own pouch of coins. "Are you sure?" he questioned, hesitantly. It was practically a ritual for a man to pay for everything during situations like this. But then he remembered that this was just friendly, not a date or anything.... "I wouldn't want you to waste all your money on the both of us."

"I've got it. I only let a guy pay for me on a date. Otherwise I feel like I owe them in some way." She bit her lip and giggled. "It's silly. But then again, so am I." She ordered him a butterbeer as well and paid the witch. She smiled and twirled her hair, "So what do you want to do today?" She asked trying to strike up a conversation. When their drinks arrived she took a sip of hers leaving a butterbeer mustache she didnt know was there.

"Ah... Well okay then," he said. He returned his wallet back into his robe's pocket and waited for their butterbeer. It had been a while since he had some butterbeer so he was looking forward to it. "Well maybe we could look at some of the quidditch stuff here on this display in the Inn," he began. "Then maybe we could check out the Hogs Head. I want to see how creepy it is according to everyone." When their butterbeer finally arrived, Jonathan took a good sip from his tankard. It was just as delicious as he remembered, maybe even better. "I really wanted to play quidditch and maybe make the international leagues when I was younger, but I gave up that dream a few years ago."

"Sounds great." She realized she had some butterbeer on her lip and wiped it off. She giggled and then frowned when he said he had given up on his dream, "Why would you do something stupid like that? You should never give up. If you love something, hold onto it." She smiled and thought of her dream, "I want to be a performer when I graduate. I've been singing and dancing since I could walk and talk. Acting sounds fun to. I just want to be on stage." She gigled and sipped her drink letting the delicious liquid consume her.

"Yeah, it sounds pretty stupid I know," he said. He stared down at his butterbeer and frowned. "When I was in my third year, I was trying out for the Ravenclaw team as a chaser. I ended up making a hard turn and being thrown off my broom from a pretty high height." Jonathan shuddered a bit, as the accident replayed in his head like some old video clip. "I shattered my left leg pretty bad and even had to go to St. Mungo's. Every since that day, I gave up my chaser dream." Jonathan looked up and his eyes met Sierra's. "I want to be an Auror now. I feel like my wit and fascination with dueling would come in handy with it."

Sierra reached out and grabbed his hand, "If you want something go for it." She smiled and squeezed his hand softly. "Auror sounds fun, "She said still holding his hand. "And you are quite witty. You got my attention with it." She smiled and winked. She giggled and sipped her drink, "I kind of want to get away from London my self. Maybe try America or something." She shrugged and leaned back.
