And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

basic lesson 5 Empty basic lesson 5

Delilah walked across the ground of Hogwarts. It has been along time since she had walked across the grounds she smiled remembering how young and naive she had been then. Now she had been asked to sub for the Care of Magical Creatures class where she was headed at this moment. As she entered what had once been Hagrid’s hut she walked over to the professors desk looking for a lesson plan of some sort. Picking it up she smiled and began to write on the board. Neatly she wrote her name and then under she wrote some simple instructions to the students telling them to find a seat and take out their books. She also wrote the topic of the days lesson.
The paper she held in her hands said that this particular class was to learn about Gnomes. They where the basic class and she guessed the normal professor didn’t think she would be capable of handling some things. Smiling to her self she tossed the lesson plan aside and decided to do something of her own seeing as she herself found the original plan boring then she erased the instructions on the board so they only said take a seat. The class would require no books for the day. They would be doing a little gnome tossing.

Cecilia walked into the Care of Magical Creatures class rooms she was surprised to see yet another substitute professor. “good morning Mrs. Knight,” She said smiling slightly then taking a seat the middle of the class room. This was a little odd of her but no one would question it, “I’m Cecilia, so you have one student here so far.” she said smiling still. She had a distant look in her eye but not many people would notice that. She started to take her book out before she read the board then stopped and put her knapsack by her feet. Gnomes, gnomes, she found it a little odd that they’d be learning about gnomes.

Sam loved the walk down to the Care of Magical Creatures class. It always seemed to change a little, a rock in the path would split here, a boulder might appear there, and a bunny might turn rabid and chase you down to the classroom (Oh that'd been a fun day)

As he reached the lawn outside the caretaker's hut Sam was a little surprised in finding that the class was indoors.

When was the last time we had an indoors class. How smart, to utilise the teaching tools of a board and writing utensils. Sam couldn't help but wonder why no previous professors had thought to do it themselves.

Walking into the hut itself Sam realised why they didn't have classes inside. It was cramped.

Like, really, really cramped.

Still, at least their motivation to work hard would be that they would be able to get outside faster, if they got their theory stuff done.

"Good morning Miss," he said, a surprised look crossing his face as he noticed yet another new teacher. "My name is Samuel," he said, waving at her as he chose a nice looking patch of rug to sit on.

Jack entered the CoMC room, a grin on his face. He wanted to learn about gnomes for a while, thoough he thought the topic was quite young. he would've preferred Dragons or Grindylows or somehting. But what was done, was done. His smile vanished once he realized how small the hut was, and he looked around, noticing Cecilia and Sam. He attempted to wave, but he hit his hand againt a small stuck out ledge.

Lucy had totally forgotten she had COMC this morning, so she was completely not ready. She'd left her dragonhide gloves back in the common room and she didn't have any of her books with her so she was screwed either way. If she was lucky, they'd be doing something really simple, like mixing kneazle food or feeding the owls. But somehow, she doubted it.

Well. Well, at least this lesson had some decent people in it. Calixta slid into the seat next to Krum's sister. She was bound to be worth a laugh, and even if not, Selwyn was sitting right behind them so she could always just turn around and chat to him.

"Heya," she greeted the dark-haired girl. "Looking forward to another hour of sleep?"

Well once again Care of Magical Creatures seemed to be devolving into its usual humdrum sort of lesson as the teacher spent all too long preparing for the class, and not enough time actually teaching it, instead highlighting the danger of extreme boredom over that of the creatures they were learning about.

However he couldn't help but smirk at Calixta's comment about the hour of sleep, it was very true that this class could quickly become naptime.

Oh how nice that would be, he'd been having trouble sleeping recently, it seemed as though someone had infested his bed with lice, or some other sort of vermin. Probably just pranksters, but it still sucked ((That could be the first prank, if you wish Selwyn))
