Xander Sage's apartment

Xander locked the door behind him after another long day at work. He threw his keys on a small table by the door and hung his cloak on a hook on the wall.

He then went to the kitchen to make himself a cup of coffee and have some dinner while he was at it. He was starved.

[[OOC: Ok, I don't know you yet, and it might seem weird if I randomly turn up at your door so I'll make up an excuse. I'm guessing it's a city-ish location as it's an apartment. Mkay, here goes.]]

Jemma was walking along the street, humming to herself. She was trying to find the post office, but she had absolutely no idea where she was going. She didn't exactly have the best sense of direction. As she rounded another corner, there was still no post office in sight. Damn.

Jemma didn't know what to do. She couldn't juust keep walking around in circles for hours. Actually she could, knowing her, but it wasn't the best solution. She saw there was a block of apartments on her left. Maybe someone in there would know the way. She walked up to it and ringed the buzzer, praying someone would answer.

Xander had just finished stirring his coffee (he could have made it with magic, but he found that making it the Muggle way was slightly therapeutic) when he heard a couple of rings, and frowned. The only people he knew around here were his fellow Auror, Richard Morgan, and his new angry boss, Vice Minister Delacour, and he doubted either of them would be ringing.

He left the coffee on the table with a deep sigh, went to his intercom and pressed one of the buttons.

"Who is this?"

[[OOC: Mkay, if you want this RP to last any length of time then we should think of something apart from directions because that won't last long.]]

Jemma was about to walk away when she heard someone's voice. A man's voice. She pressed the button again. "Um, just someone wanting directions." she said, hoping she didn't sound like a complete weirdo. She should have probably introduced herself, but she didn't think of that.

Jemma stood back, waiting to see if the man would reply or let her in. Or, he could just completely ignore her.

Xander frowned at the odd request, but it seemed pretty innocent. However, they were at war and it wasn't unheard of that Death Eaters would occasionally pay Aurors a 'visit'.

He shook his head at himself. 'Look at me,' he thought, 'just beginning my career and already acting like a paranoid old man...' He made sure he had his wand within easy reach and pressed the button again.

"Alright, I'm going to buzz you in," he told the woman at the other end, before doing just that.

Just before Jemma was about to walk away, she heard the voice again. She was glad that she was invited in rather than being sent directions through the muggle speaking device. She made sure she had her wand on her, just in case. It was a good thing she knew how to dress like a muggle without looking like an idiot.

She stepped inside as the door was now unlocked. She walked up the stairs, looking around herself. It was a light building, quite modern. She suspected it was filled with young men and woman, maybe some students. She reached the top of the stairs and was faced with a corridor with many doors on it. Now where to go?

Xander kept the button pressed long enough for the main door to open and let somebody in. He looked around his apartment to check for any magical looking objects, in case the person asking for directions was a Muggle and could catch a peek of the inside.

The kitchen looked normal enough, as did the living room... except maybe for a crystal ball on a polished ebony pedestal that his mother had brought him from Rome. He clicked his tongue. Maybe to a Muggle it would look like a snow globe... nothing questionable about that.

He then caught sight of his cloak on the wall and pulled out his wand. He transfigured it into a Muggle-looking traveling coat, and put back his wand in his pocket. He hoped the blue shirt and black slacks that he was wearing looked Muggle enough, and opened the door.

Wandering on the hall was a woman looking a bit lost. He assumed she was the one asking for directions, and he called out to her.

"Excuse me, ma'am," he called. "Was it you ringing the doorbell?"

[[OOC: Muahaha Xander's mum gave him a crystal ball. Will the Divination professor recognize it as such?? Hmmm.....]] xD

[[OOC: Ooh, good thinking! As a Seer, I think Jemma may be able to tell he's a wizard! Oooh...]]

Jemma looked around the hallway. Was the man just playing a joke on her or something? She looked around, getting more confused by the second. She was wondering if she should just go back outside when she heard a voice.

Jemma turned around to see a young man standing next to one of the doors. She recognized the voice from the one who she had spoken to a minute ago. She nodded in response to him and made her way over to him.

"Hi, I'm Jemma Tiquelle." Jemma introduced herself, holding out her hand. No matter what situation she was in, she always tried to be polite. She could tell by him calling her ma'am that he was of that thought as well.

Xander shook the offered hand and smiled politely at the woman. "Alexander Sage, at your service," he introduced himself. He relaxed a bit, noticing she was wearing Muggle clothes.

No Death Eater in their right mind would wear them, would they? Pureblood supremacist pride and all...

He leaned on the doorframe, cautious all the same. "How may I hep you?"

[[OOC: let's say the living room and the kitchen can be seen from the doorway, that's why Xander checked them over ^^]]

Jemma shook his hand politely, "Nice to meet you." she greeted him. He was wearing muggle clothes, although she sensed something not quite right about him. She had an odd feeling about him. She wanted to see his apartment, but she didn't want to seem rude by inviting herself in or peering over his shoulder.

Jemma came out of her thoughts, and back down to reality. "Oh, I need some directions, I guessed someone who lived here would know the area well." she began. She realised that if she wanted to stay here for more than a minute she'd need to think of something else, but nothing was coming to mind.

Jemma could just see over his shoulder into his apartment. Her eyes were immediately drawn to a small glass ball on the far side of the room. It could just be a snowglobe or something, but she suspected it was something more magical. She wished she could see more of the apartment. Hoping Alexander wasn't suspicious, she started talking again. "I'm just looking for a few shops but I can't seem to find any around here." she started. "Like a post office, do you know where the nearest one is?" she asked, hoping to drag the conversation out a fair bit.
