Rainy days always brings the best of out you!

It was a rainy day as Maura looked out the library window and sighed. "Ugh... finally done!"said Maura closing her potions book. Looking out the window she sighed seeing how she couldn't go outside and enjoy the fresh air, but seeing how it was pouring raining that was a bad idea. "Maybe I'll just head to the music room and play the piano or something."Maura thought to herself as she pit her Potions back into her bag. Getting up she walked out of the library and headed towards the music room.

Walking down the crowded corridor Maura was almost to the music room when she was stopped by the seventh year Slytherins that used to picked on her. Rolling her eyes Maura's eyes turned red before she calmed herself down. "Well.. Maura long time no see."said one of the Slytherins girl smirking. "What do you want?"Maura asked her annoyed as she turned to faced them with anger in her eyes. "I know it been awhile but you know the normal routine."said one of the other slytherin girls smirking. "You better back off, I'm not the same weak pathetic girl I once was!"said Maura angrily as her vampire side tried to push through but she kept her back as the Slytherin girls laughed and pushed her against the wall.

"Let me handle this, these pricks need to learn a lesson!" the vampire chimed in ready to attack the slytherin girls. "No, things would get out of hand if I let you through I can't and won't let that happen!"Maura told the vampire. "No it won't I promise, I'll just give them alittle scare and they'll never mess with you again!"said the vampire. "Alright fine, but if you get out of control I'm coming in!"told the vampire. "Fair enough Mars, let me handle this!"said the vampire literally smirking in Maura's head.

Getting up from the floor the vampire's eyes turned a blood red as she seen the Slytherin girls laughter turned into fright. "Maura tried warning you, but you just refused to listen you stupid pathetic humans!"the vampire said smirking. "Now for Maura sakes, I'm going to let you go but cross me again, and I won't show no mercy!"said the vampire as the slytherin girls nodded and ran off. As the vampire left Maura's eyes turned back to normal as she shook her head and laughed. "thanks!" Maura told the vampire as she entered into the classroom. "Your welcome, you just needed to show them who's boss."said the vampire as she left Maura alone.

Walking over towards the piano she set down and dug into her bag for her music book and looked at her her song and frowned. It was suppose to be a song that her and Ryo were working on but it still wasn't finished yet. They were still stuck on the the rest of the song, they had the first part but the rest they were just stuck. "This should be easy! We both love music why can't we think of a couple of lyrics!"said Maura angrily. Looking at her book she gotten a pencil out and started thinking.

Nick was relaxing quietly in the music room playing the piano. He heard Maura arguing outside with some slytherins. When he went to go help her she told them off and scared them away. Nick was proud of Maura. She wasn't going to be bullied around anymore because of her vampirism. Nick approached her as she tried to write a song. "Hey Maura. Would you like some help. I have wrote a song before and its easier with another person. " Nick offered shyly. He was a little nervous around her when she went vampire crazy. Nick began a soft tune on the piano and he wanted the words to come easy. It was always easier with someone else to help guide you.

Maura looked up at Nick and smiled. "Hey Nick, long time no see how are you?"Maura asked him softly. Nick was one of the only people she could be herself around and not feel out of place. When he asked if she would like some help she smiled. "Well... you can help me some, I'm just trying to come up with my part of the song."said Maura honestly. "It's a song me and Ryo came up with, and I must admit it's a good song if we can just finish it!"said Maura sighing. "I don't get it, I write songs all the time but I just can't think when it comes to this song!"said Maura as she laid her head on the piano as a couple of keys played as she did.

"Well what's it about? Maybe your emotions are not correct for this type of song. To write a love song you need to be in love. To write a sad song you need to be sad" Nick said softly. Nick didn't know a whole lot about writing songs, but he knew that. Maura appeared to be stressed out by this song. Then she mentioned Ryo. "Ahhh speaking of Ryo, how is he doing? I thought you guys weren't a thing anymore" keeping up on Maura and Ryo was hard. It always seemed like they were on again off again.

"Um... well... I guess you can kind of say it's a love song if you wanna, I can't really explain it."said Maura as she got up and walked towards him. "I think if you looked at my song book and the lyrics it'll show you."said Maura softly. Maura shook her head and laughed at Nick's comment. "We were never a thing to start with Nick, there were just a bunch of rumors going on that we were ever since he turned me!"said Maura honestly. "Why don't you look at the first part of the song and tell me what you think."said Maura

Nick picked up her song book and flipped through it. The lyrics so far were nice. It also had a great melody. It was soothing and relaxing. Obviously a love song. Nick began to play the piano from where the song left off. He thought of some lyrics and began to sing them. Nick thought he sounded bad but he would not sound horrible. " And even when it hurts the most, try to have a little hope, 'cause someone's gonna be there when you don't, when you don't" Nick sang nervously. "How is that" he asked.

Maura smiled when she heard what Nick came up with. "Wow... that's great Nick, how did you come up with that?"Maura asked him softly. Taking her pencil she wrote them in her song book and smiled. "Ok... lets see how this sounds so far."said Maura softly as she started playing the song on the piano. "Ok... here goes nothing."said Maura as she started singing.

All the sudden the rest of the verse came out of her like a burst of lighting. "When you don't If you wanna cry I'll be your shoulder, if wanna laugh I'll be your smile."said Maura as she looked at Nick with shock in her eyes. "Wow... did I just come up with that?"Maura asked him shocked

Nick stroked his hand through her hair. "Yes you did. See sometimes you need somebody else to make a song. You think Ryo will like it" Nick asked softly. Truthfully Nick didn't care what Ryo thought. She liked it. But his opinion seemed important to Maura. "So how is the vampirisim? They say that there is a new side to a person when they are a vampire. You do seem different at times. I liked the old you. Shy, silly and just slightly dorky" Nick said through a laugh remembering the old times.

Maura smiled. "Thanks Nick, your a good friend and a good song writing partner!"said Maura softly hugging him. "I think Ryo will love it, it's becoming a good song I just can't wait to perform it when it's done!"said Maura happily. Maura nodded. "Yes there is, but that's just the vampire side not your human side."said Maura honestly. "I'm still the same person Nick, just alittle different although I'm still that silly and dorky girl who can't dance and I'm still alittle shy."said Maura honestly. "I'm still me Nick, and I will always still be me even if I'm a vampire."said Maura softly.

Nick didn't know what to do now. The song was finished and Nick didn't have anything to do for the rest of the day. "So what do we do now" Nick asked softly. This day seemed to drag on and on. What Nick wanted to do was go outside, but it was still raining. The rain sucked. You were trapped indoors with nothing to do. Nick liked the rain. Just not a downpour. "So where is boy wonder? You two are usually around each other." Nick said referring to Ryo.
