What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Appearing almost out of nowhere, Jenifer stood on the pavement opposite Grimmauld Place. Her hands in her pockets, she was appeared to be an average Londoner waiting for a taxi to drive down the road. At least, that’s what onlookers would believe. No one would suspect her to be a witch about it go and take the Order of the Phoenix’s Headquarters. She stepped off of the pavement and strode across the road. She walked leisurely up the steps to the house and walked through the doorframe that was letting a chilly air into the house. The rain had let up for the most part but the thunder and lightning was still going overhead.

She pushed the hood of her cloak down and looked around, her dark eyes darting from one side of the foyer to the other. Something was wrong. It was too quiet. Cautiously, she took her wand out of the top of her knee high boots and unclasped the cloak she had around her neck. She shrunk it and tucked it into the top of the boot before looking around once more. Why hadn’t Walburga gone off on one? Jen suspected someone had charmed her to do the opposite of that and she was grateful. The woman’s screaming wouldn’t have helped anyone – Order or not.

Jen’s eyes zeroed in on a door that would have probably been with the kitchen. It was an old home so the layout was presumably quite obvious. She stayed where she was but turned her wand in direction of the door. There was something off about it. There was something weird about the whole thing. Where the hell were they all?

Thaor welcomed Ne'Os with a smile. As they walked towards the painting of Mrs. Black, she started screaming about mud-bloods and blood traitors in the noble house of black. We'll fix that for you Mrs. Black. Thaor said with a smile as he flicked his wand shutting her curtains. Thaor had an odd feeling that someone was watching them from close by.

Entering the house, Rob flicked his wand at the door and sent it up to the ceiling. There it could be used if they were ambushed. A door to the face would do some damage, especially if you got clipped by the handle. He looked at his sister and raised an eyebrow before looking around. He shared similar thoughts to her and wondered why the house was silent. Mrs. Black was shushed once again and he made his way over to the painting. He pushed one of the curtains back and winked at the portrait before pulling them to again. She seemed unhappy but he understood why – that much was obvious.

Rob leaned himself against the wall beside the portrait and took his wand out of his pocket. He twisted it in his fingers before flicking it at the door again, making the thing move across the ceiling. He kept it in motion as he waited. But for what exactly? What was he waiting for...? He didn’t know the answer to this but he was hoping the Order could give him the answer to it.

The Battle For Grimmauld Place - Page 2 Empty Re: The Battle For Grimmauld Place

Nerezza, still jumpy, found herself at the top of the stairs, her emeralds flashing an array of colors as her emotions spun through her body. She was losing her mind in this silence, desperate to grab onto a solid barrier of noise. To her contentment, the portrait of Mrs. Black burst into a scream of anger and fury, but it was comforting to the Italian. She was annoyed when Thaor quieted her. She knew it was a necessity. Eying Scorpius, the boy probably just a year younger than her, she gave him a soft pat on the shoulder. She knew she shouldn't be worried about him, but she realized that they were going to need all of the help they could get. He was young, but he was a Malfoy. Something in her was telling her that she should protect the boy if things got ugly. Flashing him a flawless smile, she muttered, "Stay close to me and I promise no one will kill you." It may have been less than comforting, but she wanted to keep him safe.

Turning so that her back faced Robert, she moved her eyes around again. She couldn't stand this. Why couldn't they just get on with it? She was growing antsy, more so than she could anticipate. Did they really want to test her patience? She would slaughter more than they realized the longer they waited. What the hell were they waiting for anyway? She could feel that this was a trap, that they had a plan, but she was irritated. She wanted blood, damn it! Angrily and without being able to stop herself, she bellowed, "Come on, you bloody cowards! SHOW YOURSELVES OR I'LL BURN THIS PLACE DOWN UNTIL I SLAUGHTER EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU, EVEN THE PRECIOUS STUDENTS!" Nerezza cackled wildly, the sound wicked in its resonance. She was about to start throwing spells in every direction if they didn't start something.

He should have just got out of here.

Thats what Teddy was thinking as he stood waiting in the kitchens, hearing the noises of the Death Eaters from the other rooms. They weren't even trying to be silent, clearly they were quite confident, which also indicated that they outnumbered them. Though, looking at the number of people in the room, it was quite obvious they would outnumber them. Most of the order members were not even at the House. The Minister, surprisingly, was there. Teddy admired his courage, though not his wits. They could easily take him hostage as well as the rest of them.

Hearing a woman start screaming for them to come out, Teddy chuckled. It sounded a lot like Bellatrix, if it was, this was the chance to kill her. That was why he was here really, vengeance. Otherwise, well, he valued his life more than the Order of Phoenix. Looking towards Jess, he frowned, waiting for the signal to attack.

The Battle For Grimmauld Place - Page 2 Empty Re: The Battle For Grimmauld Place

Post by Caelani Bittel Thu Jul 08, 2010 10:35 pm

Calli had expected something a lot more cheerful than this. Wasn't the Order supposed to be all sunshine and sparkles? Grimmauld Place was very obviously above their station; an old Georgian house that they hadn't had the heart, or more probably the time, to renovate into this century.

"They could be hiding anywhere," she observed. "The parlour, the cellars. There's at least three floors of bedrooms and then the attics, as well."

Nerezza started screaming. Caelani could admit it gave her a certain demented air, but she suspected it was just that, a show. And Bellatrix had already done the whole crazy routine to death, with more reason, too.

"Nerry, dear, we could just ask."

She pulled the heavy curtains that obscured the painting apart and looked up into the face of the lady of the house.

"Hello, Mrs Black," she greeted the painting. "We're here to exterminate the mudbloods. Did you hear where they went?"

"FILTH! GARBAGE! DESECRATION!" the painting began ranting and Caelani hastily shut the curtains again.

Obviously the long years of neglect had taken their toll on the artwork. As a lover of art, the idea made Caelani's blood boil. It was just a painting. It hadn't done anything, yet these people, who preached their goodness everywhere, let it fall to ruin simply because it didn't embody their ideals. Bastards.

"Or maybe not," she said through gritted teeth. "Impetus."

At least hurling the morning room door into the room beyond made her feel marginally better.

Nerezza glared at Caelani, her emeralds turning black. The woman did not understand her lust for blood, her need and desire for the crimson liquid to run across her skin and her lips. She wanted the metallic taste to soar down her throat, to calm her and help her to fight. She knew that most of the Death Eaters considered her to be a little over the top, but she didn't care. She could be nothing else than what her insanity made her. The Dragon that was her soul roared with rage and impatience and she simply watched as Bittel moved over to the painting of Mrs. Black, the disdain in the Death Eater's eyes clear. Nerezza found it rather interesting for she knew naught of why the woman would be so upset. Was it because the painting was simply horrid? She herself had thought of blasting the damn thing with fire, but decided against it because of its beautiful noise.

Rolling her eyes exasperatedly, she declared, "What the hell do you think I just did? If that was not asking, I do not know what is." Her entire caramel face was serious, the irises fading back to emerald as she calmed herself. When Bittel hurled the morning room door beyond them, Nerezza smiled at the loud booming and cracking noises it made. Such harmony to her sickened ears. The sudden disarray of Bittel's usually calm countenance made Nerezza giggle with excitement. But, where was the leader? She wanted to get rid of him first.

Jess smiled and watched as the DEs invaded his house, already desecrating it, already making his blood boil. The only drawback was that neither Vincent Nor Sandra had arrived yet. He non-verbally cast a spell, watching as the door on the roof blasted into several pieces, raining down on the DEs.

He was thankful for the disolution charm, because this was all just a scare tactic, he knew that they didn't know where he was, or where the order were, and he loved watching them squirm.

Andrew waited in the corner where Jess had told him to wait. It was getting intense now with all the suspense and the Death Eaters invading. He was sweating underneath his mask to conceal his identidy from the Death Eaters and was shaking with anticipation for the brawl. He wanted to ask Jess when they could all burst out and attack, yet he knew that he would have to wait. It was only a matter of time now, and he could wait a few more minutes.
