Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. It all suddenly makes sense Empty It all suddenly makes sense

Post by Anabelle Mulciber Sun Jul 07, 2019 5:58 pm

There were times when Anabelle Mulciber wondered if she was actually a Pureblooded witch and whether she belonged in the family she supposedly was a part of. A couple of days ago, she had heard snickering from a group of girls when she had been walking down to the lake, as she always did.

Lately, it seemed like they had more and more reason to talk about her when she hadn't done anything. Especially to them. There were a couple of girls that she now recognized and surprise, surprise, they were friends with that rotten little sister of hers.

Now it all started to make sense.

Once the faces and names clicked into place, she realized who was behind the whispering and laughing. Naomi had been her best friend when they were younger, but as they got older she changed and now seemed to hate Anabelle for some reason. Her brothers had been like that longer, so it didn't bother her when they said anything about or to her.

But Naomi had been the last person she thought would turn on her. It had to be their parents' fault, the Gryffindor decided.

It seemed like now, the only place she could get any peace and quiet was in the Gryffindor common room, which was fine. Although she did prefer the presence of the lake when she decided to do some reading or studying. Cracking away at one of her favorite books, Anabelle sat on the love seat near the fireplace, curled up with her favorite blanket wrapped around her.

She knew it wasn't cold enough for a blanket, but there was something comforting about having it on her.

It all suddenly makes sense Empty Re: It all suddenly makes sense

Post by Sophia Granger Thu Jul 11, 2019 5:55 pm

There was times that Sophia wondered how she was able to juggle so much that she had on her plate,  from Head Girl duties from countless piles of Homework it was never ending.  Not to mention she was also one of the Chasers for the Gryffindor Quidditch team, she wondered if she bit off more then she could chew, at times it sure seemed like she did. Although she was poud of herself though,  almost on the Gryffindor team since she came here, and prefect her fiffh and sixth year now Head Girl she was extremely proud of herself.  Now the next step was her becoming a Healer like she always wanted, she helped out in the Hospital Wing quite alot to help out,  which was really fun due to helping others like a Healer would.

As of righf now,  she was just taking some time for herself to relax and take it easy,  no homework or studying just relaxing and clearing her mind from all the chaos. Besides she knew that there were probably some rumors about her being spotted in Hogsmeade with Finn,  probably some juicy ones as well,  but she honestly didn't care she knew the truth.   Although since that day she can't stop smiling to herself,  she had so much fun that day with Finn and Aiden she can't wait to see them again.  She just couldn't believe the silly rumors this school made, but then again it wouldn't be Hogwarts without rumors and drama, it was what people lived for.  Honestly she was tired of it, she honestly she couldn't wait to get out of this rumor mill they wanted to call a school,  don't get her wrong she loved Hogwarts just not the rumors and drama.

Although she was done with everything,  she wanted to spend it in common room enjoying a nice book by the fire, that's where she felt more at time at.  Ok...maybe she had alot of Ravenclaw traits,  but hey she was almost a Ravenclaw in her defense.   But she honestly believed that everyone had a little bit of all the houses in them some, just more stood out then others, that why there were houses for that.  Like her for example,  she's a Gryffindor but the hat seen alot of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff in her, but after seeing more Gryffindor in her it decided Gryffindor.  She just was a firm believer that everyone had alittle bit of all the houses in them, so why be treated differently if you got all the houses in you some?

Walking into the Gryffindor common room humming to herself she stopped and seen Annabelle sitting by the fire reading.  She couldn't help but not to smile at the sight of it,  she was glad that she wasn't the only one who did that.  Sometimes fantasy was better then reality, you could escape a whole another world in a book and in the words written on the pages.  Sometimes books were her escape from all this madness, she was a bookworm and loved reading it was her happy place, a place she felt free. Was she weird to think that?  Yeah... maybe but hey some people had  flying around the school she had reading.

"Hey Hit what are you reading, anything that I would be interested in?"  She was always interested in reading new books,  heck she could read a book a thousand times because it was her favorite and still enjoy it.  As of right now she was reading a book that Finn gave to her as a present at the bookstore in Hogsmeade that she wanted,  so far it was a great book.

Swiping her bangs out of her face, Anabelle made a mental note to get a haircut soon. The hair she had just moved from her face was more just long strands that had strayed away from the rest than bangs; it had been so long since her last haircut. She supposed she could always do it herself but one of the house elves at the manor always loved playing with and cutting her hair for her, so Anabelle wasn't about to take that away from her.

She was the only one who would ever really interact with the house elves that way and her parents constantly lectured her for it. They said it wasn't right for one of their children to lower themselves to the elves and actually associate with them. Of course, Anabelle never listened to them. Why should she if they believed she wasn't their daughter?

She ran a hand through her hair and looked up from the book, just in time to catch Sophia begin to speak to her. "Oh hi Soph. Good thing I saw you, otherwise you'd probably have scared the crap outta me." She laughed as she spoke. It was funny how quickly seeing Sophia changed her mood, regardless of what she was feeling previously.

She picked the book up off of her lap and showed it to her, "it's called the Maze Runner. It's part of a three book series, and muggles really seem to like it." She explained. "I don't know if you'd want to give it a shot, but I think it's pretty good."

Sophia loved reading muggle books, almost as much as she loved reading the books here from the library,  but she loved reading all together.   Was she a nerd?  yeah.... maybe if that's what they call people who loved reading now days, but she didn't care.   As she seen it she wasn't odd she was unique and different, and she liked that she was.  She didn't want to be like to be like everyone else,  why blend in when she was born to stand out?  Be a fruit loop in a word of cheerios.

She laughed and shook her head, she knew the feeling all too well,  she would be so engrossed in a book that she forgets about everything around her.  "Well... glad thing I didn't,  would hate to see a good book go into the  fire or so."  One time Kace scared her so badly she ended up throwing one of her favorite books in the fire, Kace felt so bad that he brought her another one in the end.  She learned not to be reading around Kace, she didn't want anymore of her precious books in the fire, or get in trouble for teying to burn down the common room or so.

She nodded.  "By the name of the title sounds like it'll be a interesting book,  I'll have to give it a shot after I read the book Finn got me."  It was a good book so far that was written by a Irish author, it was a fantasy book but it was really good she thought.   "So... how are ya?" she asked her young friend sitting down next to her sighing happily to herself finally relaxed.  There was something about this couch she loved,  probably it was so comfy and cozy that it melted away all her stress and anxiety she had.

It all suddenly makes sense Empty Re: It all suddenly makes sense

Anabelle debated on whether she should tell Sophia about the problem she'd been having with her sister, lately. The older Gryffindor was Head Girl after all, and she could probably get Naomi to stop, at least for a little bit. But at the same time, if per prefect status couldn't help her with Naomi, then she wasn't sure Sophia could do much either.

Maybe the difference was that the Slytherin just didn't respect her sister.

Anabelle bit her lip in thought as she looked down at the book in her hands, feeling the slight shift in the couch from when Sophia sat down next to her. The shift was enough to get her to look up and she decided that it was better for Sophia to not be involved in that way.

It didn't mean she wouldn't know about the problem.

"I could be better. Naomi's been having her friends spread things about me, again." She shook her head. "She seems intent on having everyone think I'm not my father's daughter. Especially after the scene Father made at the Yaxley's party last summer. Remember I told you about that?" She tilted her head to the side as she looked at Sophia.

She was surprised she didn't get more crap about it than she did. Most purebloods thought it outrageous that something like that could happen, however it seemed like more and more families experienced it nowadays. She'd heard about it from the Podmore family, with her friend Freyja actually being a Volkov, not that anyone else really knew that.

Least they could keep it quiet.

"But how're you? You've been really busy lately, huh?"

It all suddenly makes sense Empty Re: It all suddenly makes sense

She knew how Naomi was to Hit, it made her angry that the girl thought it was fun to spread nonsense rumors about her around the school.   She thought that the other Mulciber girl didn't have anything better to do then to make up silly rumors about her sister to make herself feel good, it was actually sad and pathetic in her opinion.  She was tempted to  give her a piece of her mind for treating Hit so badly, she was sure that Ryo probably wanted to do the exact  same thing as well.  Hit was like a little sister to her, she was very protective of her and always will be, they were  very close.

Seeing her shift she bit her lip knowing that there was something else wrong with her, she wasn't stupid by any means.   Looking at her young friend,  she bit her lip and let out a small sigh.  She wondered how it'll be for her once she and Ryo graduated from here,  would it be worse or about the same?   Running her hand through her hair she sighed and shook her head,  finding it hard to believe that siblings could be bullies.

Sophia nodded she remember Hit telling her about that and how upset she was about it, that was another thing that really set her off as well.   "Just ignore her Hit, pretty pathetic that she has to make up silly rumors about you to make herself feel better,  just childish." She knew that her opinions didn't matter on the issue, but she had to get them off her chest and into the open.  She didn't understand why people had to put others down to make themselves feel better, it was just rude mean and pathetic.

Sophia knew that she was probably going to scoffed at for talking to her let alone being friends with her, which was another thing she thought was stupid.  There was no reason why a Pureblood couldn't be friends with a halfblood or less, all this pureblood thing was a bunch of nonsense some of the greatest witches and wizards are half blood or less.  Yes she was a halfblood but she was proud to be one,  she had magic and muggle in her and wouldn't have it any other way.   She was friends with all types of people and couldn't less on their blood type or whar they were, it was the personality is what mattered to her.
