What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Despite what you've been told, I once had a soul Empty Re: Despite what you've been told, I once had a soul

Post by Charlotte Waldorf Wed Jun 21, 2017 10:12 am

One thing Charlotte learned this night is: never bet with Darian, he will win. It was stupid and pointless, but she can't say no now, it would look really bad.
And to make things worse, he said to her that they will go into the night club.

"Are you kidding me? That's too much!" She yelled looking at Darian while he has that smile on his face, which tells he will get what he wants.

"C'mon Lottie, it could be fun. And don't tell me you will give up now? I used to think that you are fearless."

"Okay, okay. I just need to get ready. What should I wear after all?" she looked at him and Darian shook his head.
"Just look pretty," he said and Charlotte left.

She found a dress and once when they were ready, they left the castle.
She didn't know much about Diagon Alley, but this place didn't look as the Diagon Alley. Everything was... just wrong.

Whey they finally came to the place Charlotte started laughing. "Satan's? Really Darian?" but even bigger shock was to see Clair there.

"Clair?! What are you doing here?" She looked at him.

Despite what you've been told, I once had a soul Empty Re: Despite what you've been told, I once had a soul

Post by Molly Weasley Thu Jun 22, 2017 5:12 am

Molly once heard her mother discuss a special gift given to women, and that was fraternal sisterhood. Running errands together, lounging about in bras and eating crisps, spending hours living companion-like lives was a special gift given to women alone. It wasn't often that one might spot a pair of blokes out in a shop, one waiting patiently while the other tried on shorts, the spare taking time to look for his friend's sizes. It was a comfort unique to women, marred only by a competitive nature that perhaps kept the sexes equal in this way.

This was, of course, an expansion upon the essence of what Molly's mother had said to a friend that she no longer spoke to. So it goes.

The point being that despite a year of distrust, of resentment, of terse pauses and snappy replies, neither Margo Richards nor Molly Weasley could properly shake the other off. Molly had been absolutely certain that the summer might mean an actual break from Margo, that she would finally enjoy the solitude she wanted. But the few social invitations she wanted to accept, she knew had been extended to Margo as well. As much as she didn't want to pour efforts into cultivating her relationship with the destructive blonde, it seemed almost as invaluable to actively cut ties. Time would do its work.

And it did. In a way she wasn't quite expecting either. It wasn't often Molly put much stock into her mother's words but there must have been some truth to it. The comforts of getting ready alongside the blonde, the routine of flagging the Knight Bus and splitting fare, of bailing each other out because it was just code... it all happened in a way that was natural. To deny the dynamic they had established was to deny breath. In the presence of those who made her believe she could be more, she wanted to deny Margo, as surely as Peter denied before the cock crowed. But alone with only her true belief in who she was, it was nice to have someone next to her, humming to herself, chatting on about nothing, ignorant to or perhaps willfully ignoring the ugliness in the brunette next to her.

Satan's wouldn't have stopped them if they had ID's that said "please don't let me in, I'm underage." Any good bouncer knew that keeping a proper female to male ratio was crucial, and a pair of good looking girls who looked like just enough trouble to drive up bar sales without causing bar fights were always allowed in.

Margo, who had been labeled lacking in skills by every professor, immediately secured them two free drinks with a pout and a smile. The drinks were downed quickly and a laughing patron rewarded them with more. Molly finished her drink quickly while Margo leaned in to thank said man - therefore ensuring another couple of drinks. The dark haired girl slipped between the moving bodies and felt the music creep into her bones, moving her, animating her limbs, her chin dropping as eyelids slip down over her eyes.

All these moving bodies, matching rhythms, giving up to a beat, controlled by a man with a playlist, giving over thought to sensation, all one, all none-

It was like not existing. They could understand how she felt every day.

Her people.

Her eyes slid open and flicked towards the bar, searching for that familiar mane of blonde, but instead fell upon-

Oh no.

These were her people.

But definitely not her real people.

It was crowded, and there was no reason she should worry about them finding her. But Margo was mid-laugh and soon would cast her eyes about, and as soon as they fell on either three of the other students, the game was up. Escape was hardly worth it. She would be speaking with them.

And so it goes.

((I was impatient to post but felt them approaching the others was a little premature. Just stating my interest. haha **))

"Good kids?" Charlotte was honestly shocked.
"I mean, I know I am the good kid most of the time but Darian..." she just looked at the blonde boy standing next to her and frowned.
He is the reason why she was here.

"I lost the bet from Darian so" she paused for a moment while thinking. She was stupid. She shouldn't be here. This place isn't for her.
"So I had to come. And now" she looked at Clair again with curiosity written all over her face.
"What the hell are you doing here?" She smiled. It was quite funny. She knew Clair was...something but the place like this? She used to think that even Clair is better than this.

While they were speaking, Darian was looking at both of them trying to look uninterested. But he couldn't. What the hell Charlotte has with Clair? Does she like him? It was enough he has to fight with Christian for her attention, he can't fight with another man. It really looks like him and Charlotte would never be together.

"Okay people. Let's go in. I didn't try to look like this for nothing." She showed them her look she chose in the hope she will look older.

"The truth one. I am not your mom. I am just curious about what you are doing here" she frowned. She didn't mean anything bad so why he looked so upset about her question.
Darian was really close to punch this guy. How dare he to speak like that with Charlotte? And even worse, she wasn't mad at him. What the hell is happening? Since when Charlotte let other people speak with her like that?

"Why? What's wrong with my dress? Is it too much?" Charlotte looked at her dress afraid that she failed. Now they will now she is seventeen and won't let her in.

"Okay. It's probably time to start with this and hopefully, finish as soon as possible. C'mon Darian" she looked at Slytherin boy and started walking.

Once they were inside Charlotte was shocked. This is even worse than she thought it will be. This club was really... something.

"Darian I can't even believe you brought me at the place like this. This is terrible!" She yelled because to be honest she wasn't sure he was able to hear her. And how that men left him inside? Now she felt so young. At least too young for this.

[Understood. Btw I love how Clair is protective over Lottie lol]

To be completely honest Charlotte had no idea what Clair was talking about.
On the Valentine's Day, she was so drunk and she doesn't remember almost anything. If someone asks her does she regret because of that, the answer would definitely be yes.

"Okay okay, I understand" she smiled and in her mind came one thought; Clair was actually nice toward her. Beside teasing almost all the time, he seemed to actually care about her. It was nice to know that.

He looked at Darian but Charlotte wasn't sure why.
On the other hand, Darian just smiled. His plan was definitely to get Charlotte drunk and maybe even more. He will see what he can do about Charlotte. But seeing her drunk or something like that would definitely mean fun for him.

"I didn't really expect that, but I have never been in the place like this before. It's different than anything I had a chance to see" she shrugged and once when she saw one table getting free she hurried there and sat on the chair.

"See, I am already good at this." She smiled to Clair.
"Okay gentlemen, would someone of you to get me a drink? Something wit a lot of alcohol please" she smiled.

Despite what you've been told, I once had a soul Empty Re: Despite what you've been told, I once had a soul

Post by Margo P. Richards Sat Jun 24, 2017 6:19 am

Molly wished Margo was consistent enough to make the claim (as she earlier had) that she wanted to party hard, and then stick to it. Charlotte Waldorf and Darian Levski were not two people that could help on that accord. The former was a lightweight and a magnet for trouble, and the latter was much too confident without the necessary abilities to back it up. Molly suspected Clair might not be so bad, but she also suspected she had a very different hope for the night than he did – though she wasn’t sure what he could expect towing two liabilities.

Merlin, she was already regressing into the judgmental cynicism.

Her eyes drifted across the space and briefly met the gaze of her blonde counterpart. Margo tilted her head in confusion at what must have been a slight inquiring  look upon the brunette’s face. She turned, searching for Molly’s source of uncertainty.

If Margo had any sense of consistency, she would have avoided the trio. Instead-

“Hey! Guys!”

She kissed her hand and plopped it against her current conversation partner’s cheek in a pseudo slap, before beckoning Molly after her. A breath rattled through her bones as she followed, floated, through the crowd.

Margo bounded over towards the trio and her hands fell heavily onto her hips, lips quirking. “Now it’s a party. C’mon, Charlotte, I’ll teach you how to get free drinks. Levski.” Her eyes turned towards Clair, a bit knowing despite the fact that, as usual, she knew nothing. "Clair."
