What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Daddy Please Empty Daddy Please

It was getting cold out making it seem even colder, darker, and less inviting in the Roseberry house, and the students were allowed to go home for the weekend. A young Adelaide took a deep breath preparing herself. It had been years since she had attempted to talk to her father. She didn’t understand why she felt he need to try now as she was just setting herself up for disappointment, every time she had tried this in the past he gave her an excuse of being busy with work or that he was headed out for one reason or another.
Slowly she reached up forming a fist with her hand and lightly rapping on the heavy wood door that stood closed in front of her the only light seeping into the hallway came from underneath it. “Father?” She spoke timidly biting her lip as she did so, “May I speak with you?” After a few minutes with no reply Addie sighed and turned headed for the stairs that led up to her bedroom her heels clicking as she walked down the hard wood floors.
That day Adela had curled her hair and pinned one side back against her head in a fancy vintage type of hair style that she felt matched the pink dress with lace around the neck that she had chosen to wear with a simple pair of black suede heels. She had also put on some simple light make up.

Noah looked up at the sound of someone approaching the door of the library where he had grown up pretending to work with his father, and he now did his own work. Nothing more came for a few minutes and he returned to the paper where he was writing a letter. He was aware that his daughter was home from school for the weekend though he didn’t expect her to try and talk to him. She hadn’t come in many years.
May I speak with you her voice was small and vulnerable and just like her mothers.
With a sigh he stood up and straightened the rolled up sleeves of his shirt as walked across the room and opened the door. There she stood as beautiful as ever again just like her mother. “Adelaide.” His voice came out rather harsh and groveled though he meant it to be more genital. “What did you want?”
He had stubble on his face that hadn’t been shaved in a while, he was still dressed in his work attire though now his shirt was rumpled. The smell of liquor on his breath still faint, though it wouldn’t be for long. He planned to stay in the library most of the night doing some work.

Adela’s foot had just landed on the bottom step when her father’s voice came from behind her. It was so unexpected that she almost jumped at the sound of it. Turning slowly she looked up at the man that was a stranger to her though he had been there her whole life seemingly working his life away. “I wanted to talk.” She spoke quietly uncertainly nervously twiddling her thumbs holding her hands up by her chest. “Can we go in and sit down?” she asked and gestured to the doorway her father had just exited. She couldn’t remember the last time she had actually seen her father standing before her, let alone talking to her. The teen wasn’t sure what to do. Yet it was exactly what she expected when she did speak with him. Short cold sentences like he couldn’t wait to be rid of her.

“Yes.”
One simple word was all he said before going back in to his desk leaving the door open behind him. It felt odd, strange, to leave the door open as it was always closed. He took a seat at his desk and moved the glass that still held a tiny bit of amber liquid and placed it out of sight. If she couldn’t already tell Adelaide did not need to know he had been drinking to ease the pain of missing the woman who had brought the girl into this world. Even though I had been so many years since she had passed. Sixteen years to be exact, the blonde who followed him into his office was proof of that.
“Have a seat.”

There was a glimmer of hope in Addie’s eyes as she fallowed her father into the library office where she had watched him spend so any hours alone. Day after day the door was shut with the light peeking through like it had been today before he opened it. She looked up at her father taking in every inch of his face memorizing it. He had aged many years and it showed in his face compared to the last time she had looked at him like she did now. “How have you been father?” she asked as she sat down in a chair opposite him.
The room smelled musty of old pages, as they were surrounded by many shelves that had to hold hundreds of books. It reminded Adela of the Hogwarts Library when she spent many hours studying hoping to get good grades to impress the man who sat before her. She would have loved being able to grow up around all the books reading quietly next to her father while he worked, but it was too late for that now. That and he didn’t seem to want it.

“Is that all you wanted Adelaide?” Irritated would be the best way to describe the tone of his voice. She had come to speak with him just to waist his time and bring up old feelings of loss and hurt. “Is there anything important you wanted to talk to me about?” Idly he tapped his foot his temper getting the best of him while he waited for his daughters reply.
Yes he was angry his work was interrupted for chitchat, but he felt he would have done the same if his parents had been distant from him as he had been from his children so he could not blame her, but he had more important things to attend to.

"I'm sorry." Adelaide stuttered nervously. "I didn't mean to."
He was mad. Addie never wanted to make him mad. She just wanted to talk to him. To see him. to stop missing him. But, how could she tell him that when he was upset that she bothered him.
"I-it's just been a long time since we've talked." she murmured and bit her lip. Her hands started to shake out of fear. Fear of making him even madder. All she ever had wanted to do was make him proud of her. "I wanted to check in on you and see how you were doing." She liked. She couldn't show him weakness. She wouldn't allow herself to let him know she missed him.

"I'm much to busy for this Adelaide. Now go to your room wipe that crap off your face and put some cloths on. You are disgracing your mothers name Dressing like a hooker." He grumbled dismissing his daughter with the wave of his hand and going back to work waiting for her to leave the room. "Don't forget to close the door behind you." He added not bothering to look up at his daughter as he couldn't bear to think of his dearest Agatha anymore today. Though it had been sixteen years the pain was still raw for the man, and every time it seemed like it was about to heal Adela would come and rip the scab right off causing it to hurt all over again.

"Yes, Father," Adela murmured and got up slowly walking towards the door. Once she finally reached it she looked back at the stranger behind the desk whom she called father. "I'm sorry." She said again softly before closing the door.
Tears had formed in her eyes and now they were starting to fall from her eyes rolling down her cheeks. She bent and pulled the heels off of her feet and ran up to her room with a slam of her door she threw herself on her bed to sulk over not having a true parent figure crying like a girl of her age would normally cry over a boy braking her heart. she was heart broken.

Daddy Please Empty Re: Daddy Please

Post by Quincy Roseberry Mon Oct 12, 2015 12:11 am

Sometimes, being werewolf was the best thing ever. He came home moments ago, he came just in time to hear what he needed to hear. He came just in time to see his sister crying, running to her room. That was it, they are not going to do this anymore. Sixteen years, sixteen years Quincy and Adela spent on their own. Sixteen years Noah spent in crying and drinking and missing his death wife.
Enough was enough.

Like a storm Quincy run in his father's office. The last time he saw him was few days ago, when he came back from his trip. Noah seemed surprised. He started saying something but the hate in Quincy's eyes stopped him, and so did his raised hand. "What is wrong with you, you moron?" The anger in his voice scared the old man, and Adela obviously shared the same feeling, since she appeared on the door as she heard her brother's voice.
"You don't think we miss her?" he took the framed picture of his mother and through it in the corner. The glass hit the wall and broke into thousands pieces. "You don't think we miss you?" The next thing that flew over the room was Noah's empty glass. "So tell me, what is wrong with you? Because I'm really trying to understand you, but I can't!" Was it adrenaline, was it the anger, or just his straight, but Quincy pushed the table away, so that he was face to face with Noah. Quincy had no idea he was holding his wand pointing to his father.
