Near The Great Lake (John Walker)

It was today sunny day. Not rainy day like it have been lately. So Cecilie decided to go and soend some time outside for awhile. She did wear blue skinny jeans, red shirt and black jacket. Oh and she did wear today sneakers since she didn't feel like wearing heels on grounds. She might broke her leg there or sprain it at least. She hated when that happened.

She walked out of her common room but first she fixed her hair. She did put headband even on there even if she really didn't need it. She liked to wear it actually. She smiled at the reflection of mirror. She liked what she saw there. After the checking herself out she walked out of her common room.

After few minutes she was on the grounds walking towards the lake. Her favorite place next to library. She soon reached her destination. She faces to the lake and smiled. She liked the view of here. It waa beautiful in her mind. She could have sat on the grass but she didn't want to get wet. It really wasn't yet that dry. Here weren't really many people today. She liked it even more. She wasn't very social one. She knew she should be but she couldn-t go and talk with stranger really.

John sat by the lake it was quiet and gave him a place to think. He sat with his knees against his chest as he watched the water ebb and flow in front of him his mind not on school or classes it was just filled with thoughts and feelings that he wanted to clear out.

As he sat he heard foot steps walking over closer to where he sat and he brushed his fingers through his hair hoping who ever it was would pass him by. John looked back and saw who it was "Cecilie?" he asked having not seen her around for a while he had actually thought she was avoiding him.

Cecilie was staring at the lake and then she heard her name. It was also very familiar voice. She looked towards the voice and saw there John now. She smiled to him. "Hey, John," she said.

Girl haven't ignored him in purpose. She just haven't seen him around lately. And summer she did spent it with family and had no time for friends. She and her family went to vacation and did spent there basically most of their summer. She at first didn't like that idea but at the end she had so much fun. "I didn't meant to ignore you all summer but I just did spent it with my family. We did go for vacation together and we haven't done it already few years actually," she said there now to him. She tried to explain why they haven't met much lately. "And at end of last school year i was busy studying for my exams what I passed of course," she added then.

John didn't move from his spot but he did hear her words as she spoke " I know, we...both lead different lives I guess." He said softly with a light sign. He picked up a stone and rolled it in his palm watching it move reminded him of his life. It had been hard at first then become easier but all the same smooth and predictable.

Then he threw it into the water watching it skim a few bumps then disappear under the water. " so how have you been?" He asked briefly glancing back at her over his shoulder to see her stood not far from him he wished she would sit down.

Cecilie looked up to sky now there and wondered what she woukd say. She was tired mostly at her lessons, she had hard time falling asleep - she basically had insomnia already. She knew but she can't take sleeping bills. She just end up being addicated to them like drugs, she can't even take painkillers because of same reason. Girl sighed therw now so quietly as possible.

"Good," she said there now and she tried to sound  sure about it. But you can't say she was it. She looked at the ground now. She soon sat down there. She didn't want to stand anymore. She just hoped it won't ruin her clothes now. She looked back at the lake. "What about you?" She asked.

John watched her sit next to him and heard her ask him how he had been. He just shrugged for what could he say not much had happened over summer.

"Nothing much, dad sent me to work with dragons thats about it." He said throwing another stone. " anything new?" He asked wanting to know if she'd managed to find that special person yet, he could see by the look in her eyes she was not sleeping still.

" I see your not sleeping, any reason why?" he asked softly he'd hope she could confide in him and let him help as he had the last time they had been together.

Cecilie sighed when he asked why she wasn't sleeping anymore so well. There were so many reasons and some of them she liked to keep to herself.

She looked at John and didn't say anything. "Let's say there are nightmares when ever I sleep. That's one reason. There is many other reasons. I have became insomnic, is that even word?"

To be honest she had no idea what to say exactly. She wasn't good at putting words in sentence still. She haven't really find that special one basically. She haven't even looked for it. Only male right now wo she did get along out of her family was John. Others not so easily.

Cece looked down and played with her hands and wondered what to do or say now.

John sat and listened to her talk of nightmares, his own still plagued him but not every night he had taken to sleeping in a separate room so not to scare the younger Ravenclaw's. He gave a soft sigh and nodded.

"Are you still having those?" He asked " I thought they eased a little" he turned a little so he could look at her but by the look on her face he could see it was obvious she was and bad. "You could have come and found me I...I was most nights in the great hall myself." He said then he asked her a question " do you have any...anyone special yet?" he didn't look at her possibly fearing her answer.

Cecilie still played with her hands. The nightmares came back after that train accident. Before it she didn't had them so much anymore. She looked at John and listened what she said and asked now.

"Yes still. I didn't had them awhile now. At summer I didn't hadany but now after that train accident again. So I basixally stay up all nights since I can't sleep," she said there now quietly but a loud enough to John hear. "I should have yeah but I wasn't sure where you were and yeah I just didn't want to go and wonder around castle too when I was scared and so on," she added now a little bit louder already. "Em. I have to say yes. But I'm afraid of say it to him since I don't know how he feels about me," she said and still looked at John. "What about you?" She wanted to know about it too. She was afraid of his answer too.

John didn't look at her but sighed " I heard about that, I'm...sorry" he said softly he heard her say she did have some one special in her life and he looked over at her his heart felt like she had just ripped it out and stood on it . "ow" he said softly his hair falling over his face.

"I...I "He stopped and shook his head making his hair moved from side to side." there was some one but...but she...she has some one else now." He admitted. Now he picked up a stone and skimmed it across the lake it skipped then disappeared under the water.
