Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

The Great Lake Empty The Great Lake

Post by Jess Potter Sat Sep 11, 2010 4:37 am

The Great Lake is a large lake on the Grounds of Hogwarts. It is home to many strange and wonderful creatures, from the great Squid to the Merpeople. In Winter the top of the lake often freezes to create a layer of ice that some are bold enough to walk on, while in Summer it's the student's retreat from the heat, with trees all around it to provide shade, and the lake itself ready for you to swim in.

It's a good place to meet people, and to just hang out if you have spare time, and no real aims for the day.

So, come on down to the lake and waste away the time while that assignment sits under your bed, or come for a snowball fight on the banks, anything could happen!

The Great Lake Empty Re: The Great Lake

Post by Brienne Ravenquist Sat Sep 11, 2010 6:22 am

What a lovely day, the birds were chirping and animals came out to play. Hogwarts was a magical place, not only in the sense that everybody there were witches and wizards. No, it seemed that whatever moment in time it was on school grounds, it seemed right. It was hard to explain for Brienne Ravenquist, though she knew what she was talking about. Such great feelings often went without an official explanation of what they were, let alone a detailed description.

Brienne slipped her shoes off. She tied a string to her big toe loose enough to allow blood flow. The other end of the string held a non-lethal fish hook baited with a nice big worm. She enjoyed feeding the fish in a manner that resembled catching them. Of course, as soon as she got a bite and pulled a fish up, she slid the hook from the fish's mouth and let it go. She remembered not many years back that she and Daniel used to do this together, Brienne nestled tightly in Daniel's arms, safe and warm. It was no longer like that now that he had graduated a couple years earlier.
