What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Magical Abilities Claims


There are three levels to every character ability,

  1. Beginner
  2. Intermediate
  3. Advanced

The ‘Beginner’ level is typically a N.E.W.T student or a character who is new to an ability. The ‘Intermediate’ level groups those who have gathered a decent level of control over their ability as well as experience. Those who are in the ‘Advanced’ group have ample amounts of both control and experience and it is a group reserved for those who have a particular skill in their ability. However, those who are in this ‘Advanced’ group are reminded not to abuse their power less the ability be taken away from them. A decent history is required before these abilities can be accepted and a roleplay is also required to see them in action. Think carefully before applying, however, because students are only allowed up to two abilities and graduates four – choose carefully!

Green Abilities
Abilities that every student obtains by the end of their schooling are the ‘Green Abilities.’ Once your character has reached or passed the midpoint of their sixth year you are welcome to post here to add them to the list. Unlike other abilities, the green ones do not require a history.

Name: Miseria Lupin
Age: 18
Ability Desired: Metamorphagus
Level Desired: (not sure about your levels, but she is pretty strong in that one)
Family History: Her father possessed the ability to transform his looks according to his moods and wishes.
Training: due to her not really knowing that her father knew how to change his looks, and also being the feared family in the town they lived, Miseria did not allow her abilities to show when she was young. However, when she was twelve years old, she decided to face her fear and see what she can actually do. In the very beginning she simply made her haircolor change according to her wish, only years later, after practicing more and more, she was capable of transforming her body into another human's, or simply add some additional details to herself.
Brief RP: A girl, at least fourteen of age, stared at herself in the mirror with a concentrated look on her face. She had a long red hair which was long enough to reach her lower back. Running her fingers through this, Miseria tilted her head to the one side and then to another. She liked her natural hair color. It was red, but as a person who could afford such changes such as she, Mis got really tired of looking like that. There were many things she wanted to try out, especially with her love towards the darker styles. With a blink of an eye her beautiful red locks turned into black ones, however they made her face look paler than usually and her big blue eyes were suddenly so empty. That did not suit her.
Turning her hair red again, she observed her features a bit more. Her face was sharp and it just seemed that only color red suited with her tiny freckles properly. Again her head was filled with so many thoughts and ideas, too many to her own dislike to realize at the same time. Gritting her teeth, she simply made few blue strokes appear in her hair and looked at herself.
Although this was not exactly what she wanted to achieve, this was better than anything else. Better than black, she thought with a bitter smile before throwing the last glance at the mirror. Right, she could live with blue. For a while.

Ability Desired:Talking to animals(birds specifically)
Level Desired:Beginner/Intermediate
Family History:Her father was pretty good at talking with birds, and he always managed to get a huge crowd of birds to surround him.
Training:She had very little training with her father and most of the time practiced during breaks at Hogwarts, she walked near the edge of the Forbidden Forest, she tried using her mind once, then settled on using her tongue.
Brief RP:She was walking around the trees the last days of school, when she herd lots of whispers. The whispers got louder, and louder, till she could hear many people talking.

Steppe looked around herself and seeing no one thought several things. Either, people had made themselves invisible, or there was a new species of creatures out there she didn’t know about, or she was cursed. She invisioned herself batting her wand at the empty scenery, battling an invisible enemy.

She suddenly felt terrified.

“Look that human is as pale as a ghost!” one of the voices commented.

They were watching her? Oh-crud! Holy St. Peter! her mind screamed. Where were they?

Steppe shivered, “Y-You better come out where ever you are,” she stammered. “Or I will-“

“You will what?,” replied another voice that was right above her. Steppe looked up. Through the darkened leaves of the trees there was a mass of many big yellow glowing eyes staring back at her.

She screamed. The voices laughed in unison. Steppe suddenly realized. She was talking with the birds… Their laughter began to grow faint, very faint till it only sounded like gentle chirping.

Steppe didn’t know what triggered this incident, but figured it had something to do with her happy and relaxed emotional state. Still she hasn't had much luck..
It's been already 6 months sense she last herd the birds talking.

Just a second. I'm confused. Parselmouths talk to snakes. Talking to animals, if you want to talk to birds, is a different ability.
