Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. He had chosen rather exciting lessons for all of the classes he was teaching that time around, and Keiran couldn't wait to see what the students would think of the choices of lectures. He cast a Wingardium Leviosa spell on a rather large box as he made his way out of his office, heading towards his room. Wand in one hand, box in front of him, Keiran carried a cup of coffee with him. Giving the door a nudge with his foot, he let the box lead the way into the classroom and set it on the front table.

As he had done in the previous class, he wrote the lecture name on the board, and turned it around to face the wall opposite the desks. If something like suspense would keep the students interested, Professor Hayes would do it. He rather enjoyed seeing the sudden excitement on the faces of students who were interested in the subject.

The box would help, too, he figured. Curious objects they didn't understand always invoked interest if nothing else. Settling behind his desk, he took a drink from his coffee mug and awaited the entrances of students he was so eager to meet. New students always interested him nearly as much as the subject he taught.

It was Bertie's first day back from St Mungo's. It felt strange arriving at Hogwarts via floo network directly to his Head of Houses office from St Mungo's, but none the less it had gotten him there in one piece. His belongings were already in his dormitory and upon arrival he received his timetable from Professor Cooper, ventured to his dormitory to collect his school bag and then headed for transfiguration after already eating at St Mungo's.

His life the past two weeks had been difficult. It was a slow but steady recovery to regain full strength after such an extensive condition that resulted in him being sliced and diced by Sophia Granger to save his life. On top of that he had been taking daily potions to ease the symptoms of the green itch, which were working but tasted vile indeed! The only thing that had gotten Bertie through it was having his Mum by his side along with a parchment pad and quill. All in all Bertie had felt his time at St Mungo's reflective and had put a new development in his creative flair.

Bertie had never met Professor Hayes before and was rather nervous, especially seeing as it he was the transfiguration professor - Bertie's worst subject. Albeit transfiguration was his worst subject it was more the theory that let him down, it left him feeling completely bamboozled the majority of the time on the other hand he was thankful that he had some skill in the practical side. Perhaps it was his extensive imagination that got him through the practical: he could really form clear images in his head of what he wanted the outcome of his transfiguration to look like.

Not knowing whether to line up outside or go straight in the curly haired boy poked his head around the door that had fell ajar. 'Excuse me Professor, would you like us to line up or come right in?' He asked politely, a shake of anxiety in his voice.

Cecilie had decided to go this year to Transfiguration class too like she had did last year and year before and so on. She soon walked towards the classroom and wondered what they will learn today.

Soon she arrived near classroom. She saw one boy standing near the door. "What's going on?" Cece asked form him and looked around. She was confused there a little bit.

Before Bertie would hear a reply from the Professor another student had arrived behind him. She seemed to be a year older and although Bertie couldn't point a name her way the Ravenclaw was sure he had soon her about the castle the previous three years.

'Oh. I was just wondering if we could go in or had to line up.' Bertie told her, smiling politely in hope that she didn't think he a bit weird for not going in. Although most students would have simply marched in some Professor's preferred students to line up and, on his first day back, Romeo didn't want to get on the wrong side of Professor Hayes - after all he didn't know anything about the Professor other than he was Head of Slytherin.

Keiran was setting his coffee mug down when he heard a student in the doorway ask a question. Before he could answer the young Ravenclaw boy, however, another student - a Gryffindor - had come up alongside the first. Standing, he started towards the door as he answered them.

"You're more than welcome to come in." Professor Hayes said with a smile. He wasn't too very strict until students started acted out and he had reason to. Even for a Slytherin, he understood how long a school day could feel. "Sit wherever you like."

When the rest of the students made their way in, Keiran would be able to open the box and explain it. For the time being, he decided he would wait and see what they thought. If someone tried to guess it, he'd be even more amused. It wasn't like the box held anything particularly important, or would earn the students house points for guessing the contents, but Keiran was a Slytherin after all. Sneaky surprises were often entertaining to him now that he was around children once more.

Jamie had been walking with Logan as always. She looked at her timetable and then at his.She saw they had transfiguration class together."We better get there before we are late."She said to Logan. They walked to the fourth floor and entered the classroom.

"Hello,Professor."She said she sat one row behind the first.Even if she was a Ravenclaw she didn't like being the kid who sat in the first row and knew all the answers. She would let some questions pass and she would sit in the second row with Logan. She had copied Logan's plan.

Logan was just hanging out with Jamie and they heard the bell ring they both took out their timetables and she looked at his and vice versa."Looks like we have Transfiguration together."Said Logan giving Jamie a smile. They at least had a class together. They walked together inside."Hello professor Hayes."He said after Jamie showing him a smile.

He had explained his plan to Jamie and she seemed to get it.He sat next to her in the second row.He just hoped that he didn't know some of the answers just in case his eagerness to answer won against the embarrassment of being a "textbook" as he had been called. He had forgotten to tell his little brother and he knew he would become the "textbook" of his class.

'Okay, Professor.' Bertie replied as he followed Keiran into the room and made his way to a chair on the second row from the front. He never liked sitting right at the front if he could help it, although didn't want to be too far away. Being on the second row allowed for him to still feel somewhat with the class, but gave him that slight distance.

Distance he needed in transfiguration. Bertie wasn't a fan of the class, sure the practical was fun but theory simply mashed his mind. Placing his bag on the table he opened it and reached inside for his transfiguration book, hoping he wouldn't be using it too much. Not that he disliked books, in fact rather the opposite, Bertie loved them! He hoped to one day publish a book of his own. However using the textbook in trasnfiguration usually mean't theory...

Bertie turned his head and saw that two other Ravenclaws were also seated on the same row as he was. He recognised them to be older students from the common room. Giving a hesitant smile he turned his head to face the front. Bertie never was good at communicating with older students, especially males. There was of course that exception with Vivianna Varnes. Then again, they classed each other as pseudo-siblings rather than friends.

Keiran watched as students filed in after Bertie, greeting him as they sat. "Morning students." He replied lightly, waiting for everyone to be seated before counting how many of the students had arrived. Everyone seemed to be on time, which was better than he could say for his first class. But Keiran hadn't exactly gotten on them too very much about it. He wasn't always a grumpy Slytherin. Just sometimes.

"Alright, folks." He began, looking over the four of them. Strange, he thought, that there would be so many Ravenclaws compared to the one Gryffindor. Hopefully she wouldn't feel intimidated by those who likely seemed to be overly interested in both earning points and learning all they could. "Let's get started."

Turning the board around, he directed his hand at the word written on the board. "Gemino." He read aloud. "Can anyone tell me the difference between the two types of Gemino spells?"

He glanced at the box as he waited for someone to raise their hand and do their best to answer. Once they answered the questions for House Points, he would show them what the box held, and explain how to go about casting the spell.

((OOC: Just have your student "wait for Keiran to call on them" or something. Slight Godmoding is alright in this case. Keeps posts from being too short))

Cecilie did walk in then after the first ravenclaw and she did sat back at classroom. She hated sitting in front, she may have been smart but she just didn't want to be at front. What ever the reason is. Anyway she noticed that she is only gryffindor here, she barely even knew this people. She have saw them somewhere before but never talked with them.

Cecilie did listen what professor said and she thought awhile what could be answer. Soon she raised her and waited professor to let her speak. When she had gotten premission she said: "The Gemino Curse or Doubling Charm is a spell used to duplicate an object, creating an exact replica of the target entity. It can also be used to bewitch an object into multiplying repeatedly when touched, though how one would produce the latter effect is unknown." She just knew it somehow, maybe she have read about it or heard, who knows hiw exactly.
