Charms Class - Group Four Empty Charms Class - Group Four

Post by Amelia Cooper Wed Sep 04, 2013 2:02 am

Today Amelia had brought along something with her to charms. Her classroom addition had taken multiple evenings to prepare but Professor Cooper thought it vital the students get a solid practical experience when learning the spells they would today. For today the charms class would be learning healing spells. Most of her class were NEWT students so would be able to tackle the tougher spells, however being such a broad area of charms Amelia knew there would be a few spells for her fourth year Hufflepuff.

The item she had brought with her today was a puppet. However unlike most puppets Amelia's had no strings, it was walking via the motion of her wand - which was currently aimed at her desk where the puppet sat. Of course she had worked enchantments herself to make the puppet lifelike. She'd found animal bones and placed them inside of him, a rather morbid task; then she'd made the fabric appear as close to skin as possible and even had charmed the plastic eyeballs sewn in to move. Hopefully the puppet would withstand the students magic and would be reusable for future lessons to come.

'Good morning, Jackson.' Amelia greeted the Hufflepuff as he entered the room - his robes a bit dusty with dirt. 'Have you just had herbology?' She asked conversationally whilst they waited for the other students to arrive.

Jackson was hurrying up the marble staircase to the second floor corridor. He'd just finished his herbology class and after re-potting the venemous tentacular with his fellow sixth years he really was looking forward for some time to chill out. Hopefully charms would be his chill out class - not that it wasn't difficult but repotting an attacking plant really did take some physical strength.

'Hello Professor.' Jackson replied friendly as he entered the classroom, appearing to be the first student to arrive - although he had to double take for a moment. A puppet was perched on the edge of Professor Coopers desk. The only way Jackson knew it was a puppet was because it's chest wasn't moving and it's smile was fixed into place, however the eyes were realistic.

Before Jackson could raise his curiosity about the puppet Professor Cooper had asked him about herbology. 'What - yeah, how did?' Although his own question was answered upon looking down at his robes. Blushing slightly he grinned and began to dust himself down.

William had been in Transfiguration and he was enjoying himself but it was a reminder of what he had become. He couldn't be late for the first class of charms. He ran from the fourth floor to the second one.He was out of breath because his watch was telling the wrong time.He wasn't late at all he was in fact early. He saw his friend Jackson was there too."Guid day Jackson, hello proffesur cooper."Showing a bit of his scottish accent there but it sometimes got worse and sometimes it got better. "Kin(can) Ah sit neist tae ye "Signaling the sit next to Jackson.

He started looking around the classroom until he saw something that seemed weird to him."Excuse me proffesor bit whit's that?"Pointing at the puppet that laid there on her desk. Why would she need a puppet.Maybe it wasn't even for their class.

Jackson was just about to ask what the puppet was for again but at that point the door opened to reveal a fellow sixth year Hufflepuff: William. At least Jackson knew he wouldn't be alone in this class. 'Hey William.' He replied with a smile, however his smile didn't remain a smile but transformed to a frown. Why hadn't William just sat next to him? Now he had to get up his things and move.

Sighing slightly he gathered the books he had taken from his bag, swung his bag losely on one shoulder and trundled to the seat besides William - who soon asked the question Jackson had been so keen to answer.

'What's that?' Summed up Jackson's thoughts entirely. The, what he was assuming was a puppet anyway, seemed so lifelike - sure the clothes were a bit old a ragged, but the fabric really did look like human skin. On top of that the puppet, all a bit flimsy, had some bulk that was no doubt due to a lot of stuffing.

'Is he for our class?' Jackson chirped in cheerfully. Their charms professors had never brought along a puppet before so the Hufflepuff was really hoping it would be for their class, which mean't the class would most definatly be fun!

((Sorry I didn't know that he already had sat there I'll edit it out))
He was sitting next to Jackson. He had wondered how many classes they had together since he knew he was also taking potions and charms but didn't know what else."Whit ither classes urr ye taking?"He asked curiously too see if he would have any other classes with his friend. He was definitely not in transfiguration since he had just come back from it and hadn't seen him there. He was taking Potions,Charms,Transfiguration and DADA.He actually wanted to be an Auror but surely his dreams had been crushed since he was turned into a werewolf.

He could tell Jackson was as exited as himself about the puppet. He was thinking about the possible things Proffesor Cooper could teach them with that puppet. He maybe thought the puppet moved and it tried to escape the class but you had to stop him with different charms that would be taught today.

Amelia smiled, glad that her students had already sparked and interest in the human replica that she'd invented. 'He is our victim for the day.' She replied with a slight laugh. Victim seemed to be the correct word to use, after all he was going to be in the firing line of first attempted healing charms and curses that Amelia would subject him to.

Although William seemed more interested in Jackson's schedule now, which was understandable - they had been apart for an entire Summer.

Glancing at the register Amelia noted that they were just waiting on two students: Emily Night and Christine Ackerley. Hopefully they would arrive soon so that they could commence the lesson, which the Hufflepuff's seemed to be slightly interested in.

Charms was today first class to Christine so she had some time to sleep on the earily morning but for some reason girl couldn't do it. She was up same time us her some other fellow housemates who need to go class. She did put on her robes and so on. She just did hang out around her common room until it was time to go class. She did put her diary under her pillow and then began to walk towards Charms classroom.

Christine entered to classroom, saw there professor and two her fellow housemates. She somehow even knew them, she have seen them around the common room but really haven't talk them before. "Hello professor," she said and sat down somewhere in the class. "And hello my fellow housemates," she even said to them. She didn't know thier names right now and she didn't want to guess too.

Charms Class - Group Four Empty Re: Charms Class - Group Four

'oh. I'm doing herbology, potions, history of magic and then charms.' Jackson replied smiling as he listed off his NEWT subjects. They were all his favourites. Naturally, herbology was a common Hufflepuff favourite - mainly due to the fact there were so many magical plants in their common room. Then for Jackson potions wasn't a struggle, sure he wasn't as talented as Vivianna Varnes a fellow sixth year, but it was refreshing and relaxing for him. It allowed him to think about things and chill out - plus Jackson found it rather interesting how different ingreidents had different properties and could create something magical when combind together. After that there was history of magic. Not a common subject among the students, mainly because Professor Binns was an ancient professor, who in fact was a ghost. Furthermore his strategy to teaching was rather dull involving long long long long long lectures where the students had to write down their own notes. Jackson didn't mind taking notes, he found it was a good way to learn and when he processed what Binns was saying the subject was fairly interesting.

Professor Cooper had used the word 'victim', that surely mean't that they would be casting charms upon him, although Jackson couldn't really imagine what topic they would be doing. One thing he did take note of was that it mean't the charms would be used on humans and most likely too dangerous or advanced to practice on each other. How Jackson would practice outside of lesson was a question he was beginning to ponder about. Perhaps the puppet would be left in the classroom at all times for them to come and practice on if there were no charms lessons in progress.

Before he could delve into his thoughts a blonde girl, younger than them, had entered. She was extreamly pretty and Jackson was one hundred percent sure that he'd seen her around the common room, which was a given considering she was wearing Hufflepuff robes. 'Hello. I'm Jackson.' He said with a smiling, leaning forward and resting an elbow on the desk as he gave a happy wave towards her.

"A'm taking potions, charms, defense against th' dark arts, 'n' transfiguration."He said knowing they only had two classes together. He had never been good at herbology which was weird since he was a Hufflepuff. He didn't mind because he still did his best.Thats what mattered.

He saw a girl walk in he had seen her in the common room but never learned her name she was youger than them."A'm William,William Colin Stuart Crosby."He actually liked his name a lot for the meaning so he said it in every introduction he made."'n' yer?(and you are?)"He asked wondering her name.

Emily did had some classes before the Charms class. She just walked towards the Carms classroom, she was no hurry. She didn't mind it being late for class at all. She just didn't care about it, even if it may take some points from her house maybe.

Soon she was infront of charms classroom. Emily entred and saw there professor and bunch of hufflepuffs. She was at least glad that she didn't had any class with gryffindors. She didn't like that house peole very much. Towards hufflepuff or ravenclaw she had nothing but she mostly talked only with her housemates.

This seventh year slytherin girl didn't even bother to tell hello. She just sat down and sighed. She hoped professor will start with class soon. She didn't want to wait for long.
