Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Reconstruction of the Entrance and Grand Halls Empty Reconstruction of the Entrance and Grand Halls

Post by Ambrosa Lunafiore Sat Aug 06, 2011 11:51 am

As Ambrosa entered Hogwarts through the front door, she gasped. The place was totally ruined. As she signed up for the Reconstruction she thought that they will have to paint the walls and clean... But that she did not expect. The tiles were broken, places of the wall were missing. They had a lot of work to do.
Hogwarts was mainly Ambrosa's life. She was used to feel like it was her home and seeing it like this kind of upset her. In the normally clean and beautiful hallways, now there was only rubbish and dirt.
Deciding that Am should start somewhere, she thought that bringing the big pieces of the wall and the broken tiles away would be a good start. Amb lifted them with the help of her wand and walked them out, where she found a pile of rubbish already. She did this a couple of times until she saw a face she knew. Oh,hey. she smiled and started collecting the broken tiles on a pile.

Reconstruction of the Entrance and Grand Halls Empty Re: Reconstruction of the Entrance and Grand Halls

Post by Calvin S. Ransom Mon Aug 08, 2011 12:45 am

Under any other terms, Calvin would have seen the opportunity to revisit Hogwarts after so many years of having been away from the school, as a blessing. After having stepped foot inside the crumbling castle, however, Calvin realized that the task that he had been presented with was nothing other than unfortunate. The wizarding world’s only safe haven had been torn apart, and then left in that condition for far too long. It was tragic.

Rubble crumbled beneath Calvin’s sneaker-glad feet as he climbed through the wreckage in an attempt to get inside. In his hands he held a small piece of paper, which instructed the young man to set to work on reconstructing Hogwarts’ main entrance. Seeing the castle in such a disarray was unsettling to say the least – but Calvin had never been the sort to allow negative emotions, such as the ones that he had first experienced upon setting foot in what was left of the school, to linger for very long.

“Hello!” Calvin greeted those who had already arrived, and immediately began shaking hands with everyone, moving hastily so not to cause anyone to feel left out. “My name is Calvin. This is quite a mess, isn’t it? Not to worry though; I think, with all of us working at once, that we can get Hogwarts looking as good as new in no time at all! Have you lot seen how many people that have volunteered to help? It is amazing!” Calvin exclaimed.

“Have you already come up with a plan to get the entrance fixed? I saw your pile outside. Is that where we are going to be tossing all the rubbish? Wow”- Calvin stopped speaking for a moment to replenish his oxygen supply, and to look about at the damage that had been done to the floor – “Does anyone know how to put tiles back together? Is there a gluing charm? Or a charm for repairing extra big things?” Calvin offered the female nearest to him an encouraging smile, and drew his wand. It was likely that, with that wand, Calvin would do more damage than good, but that was something that he had not yet given any thought at all.
