Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Life's little surprises... Empty Life's little surprises...

Post by Samantha Burns Sun Aug 08, 2010 4:12 am

Samantha was walking out of a store with a pile of new stuff for the next year of school. She was wearing a black t-shirt with a pink skull with a bow on it's head on it, some blue jeans, and some black sneakers. She had like ten bags in one hand and five in the other. She was really stocking up for the next year. Finally she found a little food and drink place and sat down with her bags. She ordered and then sat quitely.

Life's little surprises... Empty Re: Life's little surprises...

Ah, what a place Malek found himself in! He relished being formless when all else in this realm seemed to need form and symmetry in order to make sense of things. It made him laugh. The low foreboding sound that arose from within his whirling misty cloud of darkness came forth with an icy chiliness. He noticed that things here all seemed to be rather solid. Well, he could change all of that.

He dissipated into nothing but a gray fog and swirled about. There were boxy shaped dwellings of the dominant species here, and they seemed to need to cluster the boxes together for some sort of comfort. Comfort was meaningless. He watched the dominant beings bustling about much like unnessary little insects.

He decided to see how they responded to his nothingness. He formed himself into his usual large jet black smoky form with his glowing yellow eyes, and entered street where the beings ran about in such chaos. They looked up and saw him approach and began screaming in terror. He simply curled his dark form around one of them, and the male being fell lifeless on the street. Well, that was indeed rewarding. Perhaps this was going to be a simple little matter after all.

He looked about and saw a female with yellow hair. She seemed to be sitting inside one of the dwellings. He could see her face through the glass. She seemed to desire sustenance. Hm. She looked particularly vulnerable. It might be interesting indeed to see next what she was made of. Did she have any courage? Would she even be a challenge? Or would it simply all be too easy for him? He swirled into the place where she was sitting. His coal black form was so massive, he seemed to fill the entire space himself with darkness, only his glowing eyes lighting the space within. He glared at the female. This might well be easier than he had thought.

Sammy was just about to enjoy some yummy goodness from the store that she decided to stop at, when she heard screaming coming from the street. She stood up just in time for everything in the store to turn dark and to see yellow eyes staring back at her. She knew that it couldn't be Ne'Os for he was dead. So this must be the demons that she read about in the papers. She knew that this was not going to be any ordinary fight so she imagined her children and thier lifes she would miss if she was to die this day.

This made her sad and mad. She turned to the yellow eyes with her wand in her hand, then turn into her evil vampire like form. She hated to do this but it made her mad. "Ok you demon. Now you have **** me off." She yelled at it while sending some stunning spells, petrifying spells, and some killing spells at it. She had never gone up against a being like this so she didn't even know if it was alive. All she could do was fight it and head for the door.

In the middle of fighting off a demon, Nick walks in all casual like. "Um...Nike. I could use alittle bit of help here. It is trying to kill all the people here including me." Sammy told him trying to sound as polite as possible considering the fight she was in. She jumped more towards the door as she continued to through spells at the demon. Fighting with a demon, Sammy never thought that she would ever being having to face one of these. But then again if she stopped to think about it she would probably die right now. Figures!

Sammy wanted to turn around and look at him like he was crazy, but she knew that that would get her killed. "I'm sorry Nick but I have been in way to many fights with evil things to know when something is trying to kill me. If it stops killing people and trying to kill me then I will lower my weapon." Sammy said doing some acrobatic twirls and vampire speeding behind the demon. Or what she thought was behind it. It was still sort of dark in the room.

Malek laughed, his low slow chuckle sounding like a distortion of everything good, everything pleasant--as if there would be no hope, no light, no love ever again. These beings were more fun than he thought. Oh, and look, some little servant female, with a tray of food. She looked at Malek and screamed in terror. Malek simply curled around her and felt himself absorbing her lifeforce. There was energy there, hope, love, faith, and a hundred other good things--bah! He could get rid of that garbage. Her figure slumped lifeless to the floor without a sound. This wasn't going to take much time to get rid of these helpless little beings, and it wasn't going to take much work either.

He looked back at the female, who had been joined by a male. The female was firing magical spells at him. Magic? Well, now that was interesting, wasn't it? It was nice to know that there was some magic in this world. He could use that when he got the place cleaned up. Her spells went right through him and hit the wall behind him. Well, it had been worth a try on her part. She was trying to defend herself. But rather silly, also, to fire on a shapeless being. There was nothing solid about him for a spell to anchor to.

He decided to show her what she was up against. He sent an energy bolt towards her, without moving, without any show of annoyance. He intended only to wound, at least right now. He fired at her shoulder, a blast of lightning like electrical energy. Knowing these were corporeal beings, he had to lower the force to keep from killing, at least right now. But flesh would burn, and it was a smell he liked. He turned and looked at the ignorant little male with her. The female had a clue about what she was up against. The male, well, not so much. He fired a similar energy bolt at the young male's arm. Again, wound only. These seemed to be younglings. Teach them slowly. Then kill them.

Sammy finally got the attention of the demon that she was fighting, well more like trying to fight. All of the spells that she was throwing at him where doing nothing. She only knew spells to defend herself with and physical fighting, and that wasn't going to happen. The womens body on the ground proved that. Sammy had only just realized that she was probably going to have to run for it when she felt a lighting bolt like zap on her shoulder. It stung but it wasn't the worst pain she had ever felt. She looked down at her shoulder real quick to see it bleeding. She looked back up at the demon, angrily. She wanted to kill it but she knew that she didn't know how. So she watched as it though one at Nick. She ran over to her things, grabed them, then ran over to nick. "Nick lets get out of here before the Ministry shows up." She said to him hoping that he would agree. If not then she would have to leave without him.
