Off to Tame Nessie and Maybe Wrangle a Llama or Two

Andrew blinked a couple of times in his small air bubble and thought what Nessie would look like. Maybe some sort of dragon or something. Maybe a giant serpent that was larger than a whale and could touch both ends of the lake...or maybe the thing that was charging towards them all. Andrew shouted in his air bubble, realising it was a useless endevaor and then began to fire Stupefys at the demon. It swam quickly, serpentining up and down in the water, to avoid any unnecessary spells.

Sensing that the beast was moving towards them, Andrew quickly swam to the left, and actually felt himself brush against the large fish. He managed to fling his arm out and grabbed the tough scaley skin that protected it by grabbing onto what he believed to be a gil. He felt himself being flung at an enormous rate across the water, feeling like the pressure would just melt him into oblivion. But instead, he kept himself grappled on and began to fire the red spells around, like he did when he tried to gain Jack and Chases attention, if they had not seen the creature anyway.

After a moment of just trying to hang on, Andrew let go, all of his energy used up. The momentum down kept him pushing forward. He would have smashed into the wall if he hadn't used his arms and legs as a 'parachute' to help slow down his drift. He looked around, tossing and turning and could no longer see Nessie, nor Jack and Chase. He was alone.

Jack had been distracted by some beautiful clam-like being towards the bottom of the lake. Deciding to make a quick detour, she dove downwards and scoop up the mollusk. She pried it open and upon its pink, cushion-y, inside sat a magnificent pearl.

Jack was not dazzled by jewelry or anything like that, but the sheer beauty of the pearl made her stop. She gently pulled it into her hand, cupping it in her palms as she lowered her face to the pearl...Suddenly, a flash of light went passed her right shoulder and she looked up. Andrew was clinging to the Loch Ness monster. Jack's mouth fell open and she pushed off the ground, shooting upwards towards the great giant beast. The pearl fell to the ground, forgotten.

She saw Andrew drifting off, but she knew she would re-find him later, or that Chase would soon zoom to his side; the two were closer than Jack had originally thought. She, however, had an obligation to the giant beast.

It's front flippers flapped powerfully, its tail swiveling and acting like a giant rudder. It long, mighty neck turned two and fro, the bottom part of the his jaw latching open to swallow a gulp of water. Its large, yellow eyes took everything in at once, though it did not see Jack bobbing up towards it like a cork.

Jack shot right over the creature, and her hands shot out to grab the scales on his back and pull herself onto him. The water buffeted her, but the monster obviously did not feel her. She turned, lining herself up with it and she began to pull herself closer to its head, scale by scale.

She got to the front, her heart pounding. Her arms fastened around the creature's neck and she felt the muscles tighten. It swiveled its head, but it was so large that it could not see her small frame clinging to the base of its neck. Its line of vision was too high and its head to large for it to tip and see her.

She turned her head to smile at Andrew and Chase, knowing what a sight it must be; her ams clung around its neck, her feet drifting in the water. But what she saw frightened her; they were both out of her sight and she was being taken farther and farther. Her heart froze; she should let go and try to find them. But on the other hand, there would never be another opportunity to ride the Loch Ness monster...

"ANDREW!" Chase shouted when suddenly the water was turbulent with the movement of some great large thing that was lashing the water around them. She was buffeted away by the current, and lost sight of everyone for a second before she pushed herself forward and saw Andrew, clinging to the back of the Loch Ness Monster. Being thrown to and fro by the gigantic beast, he was suddenly thrown off. She pulled out her wand, and sent a burst of water from it, propelling herself forward, and losing sight of Nessie, and Jack as she went to Andrew's side. She found him and grabbed his arm. Pulling him to face her. She had her wand out, and she said "Are you alright?" But then realized he couldn't even hear her. Grabbing her wand, she spelt out the words, putting her hand on his head once the words were clear, and she stared into his eyes. Their bubble head charms brushing, but keeping apart at the same time.

When she deemed him not hurt, she spun to look for Jack. Her and the monster had disappeared from view in the murky water. "We have to find them!" She cried out, again forgetting Andrew couldn't hear. She grabbed a hold of Andrew's arm, and pulled, hoping he would follow. As long as he wasn't in to much pain or anything. She propelled herself forward using her wand again, and soon located Jack and Nessie. Jack sat on the back of the giant water monster, clinging to her neck as the beast tried to turn its head to see what was on it. But then it saw Chase. Chase froze, afraid it would charge at her or something. But it didn't, it stared at her for a second, then continued to search for the thing on it's neck. Jack must have been tickling it or something.

Chase backed up a bit, Jack seemed to be doing fine, riding the monster in the water like that, she wasn't in any way in danger, unless she lost her grip and fell off. Spinning to look around for Andrew, she let out an exasperated groan when she realized she had become disconnected from him, and was now alone in the murky water. Even though she knew at any moment, the Loch Ness Monster, could come straight at her, and there was little Chase could do to stop that.

Jack twisted her head and she could see off in the distance two figures (specks really) moving together. Chase had found Andrew it seemed. She looked forward and peered ahead of her into the murky depths, desperate to discover something...anything really. No way was she going to ride the Loch Ness monster and not find something cool.

The monster turned in a wide arc and suddenly she realized that the monster had turned and was now facing Chase. Jack's hands slipped on its scales and she felt her breath catch in her throat. She mouthed Look out! as the beast stretched out its neck, but it swiveled to look at its back. She quickly pulled her legs up to keep herself from being seen.

The beast looked forward and laid its neck out flat and suddenly propelled itself quickly. Jack gasped and scrabbled at its neck, causing it to tick its head in irritation. It seemed to be heading for a cave. She gulped and pointed at Chase and Andrew, shooting a jet of water to get their attention. She did not wan to leave them behind. If they hurried they could grab Nessie's tail...She wondered vaguely if they would.

[I'm sooo sorry, I thought it was still Chase's turn ]

Andrew shook his head rapidly, trying to get rid of the pressure that was applied to his head when he was drifting with Nessie. At first, he had thought his bubble had popped, but quickly banished the thought when he felt the surface of the bubble on his head. He was alive, at least a start. Now he began to question whether or not they should continue after the huge beast. To him, it felt more like suicide. They had no equipment, they weren't even supposed to use magic outside of school! Well at least he wasn't, but he never followed the rules outside of Hogwarts.

He jumped in the water when Chase had grabbed onto his arm, thinking that it was some other creature from the deep. When he turned to confront it though, he found that it was just Chase, swimming there looking worried. He noticed that she had been trying to shout something, but could not understand, yet could hear a slight muffle. He mouthed the word 'what' in a confusing way. He understood what she meant afterwords, when she spelt out the words with her wand. He nodded rapidly, trying to tell her that he was alright. He looked back to the direction from where he was thrown, and could see a small spec out in the distance. That had to have been Nessie.

As he began to swim towards the direction of the spec, he felt his foot hit the ground, causing him to yelp in pain. He pulled his foot closer to his head, realizing that blood was beginning to form out of the wound. He used Ekipsky quickly, and looked around for Chase, his only lifeline at that point. Yet, she was nowhere to be found. There he was again, all alone in some huge void. They needed a better plan this time. He aimed his wand upwards and incanted a spell. Suddenly, huge sparks began to emit and flung themselves through the water. It almost seemed like it was a flare that was impenetrable by water. The red light downed onto him, Looking around, he couldn't find Jack and Chase again, so he figured he may as well have swam up to the surface.

Kicking heavily, he found himself breaking the surface of the water, then popping the bubble around his head with his wand. He scanned the horizon, breathing slightly heavily as he tried to search for his friends. "Chase?!" he yelled, now able to hear his own voice echo again. It sounded good. "Jack?!" he yelled again, searching again while keeping himself suspended in the water "Where are you guys?!"

Chase was alone, the monster had suddenly turned and bolted, and when she has spun around, Andrew was gone too. "F***.." She whispered, knowing no one could hear her anyway. Looking up at the surface she bit her lip. Would it be right to go up and hope Jack had let go? She decided to chance it and swam up as fast as she could, breaking surface and popping her bubble head charm. Looking around quickly she suddenly saw Andrew. "Andrew!" she cried out and swam over to him. "Jack got on that monster's back and it swam off that way really fast!" She said pointing in the direction the monster had taken Jack.

"Are you okay? You were really thrown there.. I was really worried!" She looked at him as though trying to see if his pain was in his eyes. Apparently deciding he was okay she hugged him and then pulled out her wand. "Come on.. we have to help her, we can't just leave her down there!" She said and without pausing made a bubble head charm over first Andrew then herself. Not realizing that his would be filled with the same scent she smelled when she made a bubble head charm. The smell of a fresh breeze, newly mown grass, and flowers. She grinned at him and dove back down, diving into the depths of the lake, hoping beyond hope that not only would Andrew follow her, but they would find Jack, perfectly unharmed and smiling at the same time.

Jack clung tighter to the great beast as he sped up, flattening out his neck as though it were a large dart, aiming for a large dart board. She squinted to see better and saw them nearing a large cave. She felt herself swallow, though her brain was pretty uncomprehending. Her mind told her fingers to let go, but her spirit made them cling tighter.

Nessie's flippers suddenly stopped and pulled tight into its body. Though he was no longer propelling himself, the momentum kept his body sliding forward smoothly, like a train rolling gently into the station.

The mouth of the cave was "decorated" by hanging seaweed, fluttering like drapes. Jack allowed her arms to loosen and her hands jumped deftly from scale to scale as she let herself slid to the back of Nessie until she was clinging onto his tail. He let out a roar as he rocketed into the cave, but she let go, reached up, and seized the seaweed.

The monster continued on into the depths, but Jack clung to the hanging seaweed like a rope. She gently fished out her wand and muttered "Lumos." A muffled beam of light spread through the water like a searchlight. She pointed the wand inside the cave and saw an odd sparkling...she needed to investigate.

She flashed her light out in the water a few times to signal her friends before slowly beginning to swim into the cave.

[I have no idea when this happens, so I'm gonna break the timeline at the moment ]

Andrew saw Chase surface near him and felt a wave of relief flow over him. At least he found her, which was good. When she came close, he wrapped his arms around her and gently pressed his lips on hers. "I'm glad you're alright," he said softly to her "and I'm alright. I just feel like my brain is stuck to the bottom of my skull." When she released him, he pulled away as well, feeling another bubble head appearing over his head. Instead of the usual grass smell that was in his, hers smelt slightly different, it actually please Andrew.

"Let's go," he mouthed and broke into the water. He looked around the dense waters, looking for something that would be able to help them find Jack. After a second, he saw a large flash of light, making Andrew turn his head and body towards its direction. It was very faint, yet it was close enough to them. Andrew held his wand in his hand, aiming his wand at the source of the light. Firing the same spell, a red flare swam towards the light, taking its place as soon as the light died out. Andrew moved his hand in a gesture saying over here to Chase and began swimming towards the flare.

Chase turned around and saw Andrew firing a spell in the direction of a fading light. "Jack!" She cried out and swam after Andrew quickly, firing a spell behind her to make her speed up until she was directly beside Andrew. Taking his hand, she fired the spell again and they burst off in the water, going a lot faster then they could just swimming. Chase stopped and ground herself to a halt using the bottom of the lake to stare in amazement at what she saw. A giant cave, decorated with curtains of seaweed, that almost looked like it had been purposely hung there was directly in front of her. She couldn't tell if it went below the lake floor, or if it was just one large cave, but it was dark.

"Lumos.." She muttered and her wand burst into like. Letting go of Andrew's hand, she hesitated for a fraction of a moment before slowly pushing the seaweed aside and shining her wand into the cave entrance. It was large... bare, but looked like something had just passed there. Seaweed was fluttering around them like it had been torn up from the ground, and fresh claw marks were in the ground, digging into the soft sand that had settled along the bottom of the cave. Turning to Andrew she jerked her head in the direction of the cave and mouthed. "Here?" It sure was annoying not being able to talk with these things on, but she didn't really mind. Pulling her shirt down and not even bothering about her hair anymore, which simply floated around her head like a wreath, she pushed forward into the water and let the seaweed fall like a curtain behind her.

Jack heard a muffled noise of water swirling behind her and she immediately swam behind a rock, thinking of giant, hungry fish. She gently pushed herself so that she could see in front of the rock. Chase and Andrew were timidly entering the cave. Jack pushed herself from the rock and began darting from hiding place to hiding place until she was behind her friends.

She slowly made her way towards them, trying not to make ripples or any noise, and just as she reached them, she put a hand on each of their shoulders. Without waiting for their look, she darted between them and twisted around, grinning widely as she did so.

She spelled out and mouthed There's something shiny up ahead. Follow me. Shiny was not really the word, so much as glowy or luminous, but all the while it was worth a quick investigation... Especially if it was something shiny. Things like that were always worth it.

She pulled out her wand and cast the lumos spell, which cast just enough light to tell her if she was going to need to make a quick escape, but not enought to give up their location.
