The door slammed behind Caelani as she returned home. A flick of a switch set a contraption attached to the ceiling swirling into motion as prisms that had been collecting sunlight near the window all day were transported to the centre of the room and lit up the apartment.

Meanwhile, Caelani had already shrugged off her cloak and vanished it to the laundry. Her clothes had not fared well in the duel with Jess Potter and that unnamed man who, on reflection, she supposed must be some professor at Hogwarts.

Moving to the kitchen, she sighed. Vincent needed a better screening process if that as the sort of person he was hiring nowadays. Caelani ripped up her lettuce and began to cut up tomatoes while she imagined what she would do in that position. Much as she hated using unforgivables, she imagined imperioing that teacher before she'd let him run around loose like that again.

With dinner finally ready, Calli retired to the living room, switched on the wizarding wireless and settled in for an evening of mind-numbing entertainment. There was no better way to relax after such an energetic evening.

Except perhaps, for one. On a whim, Caelani summoned a catalogue from the table top and began to flick through in search of a prospective house elf. There would be nothing nicer than coming home to a deep tissue massage, even if it did mean letting one of those wrinkled up little creatures touch her.
