Just a walk

Christy had told Kace she wanted to go down to Hogsmeade this weekend, even if it was just for a walk. She had barely had time to pull her head up out of the water. Between her studies, student teaching, prefect and student assistant to divination, she was exhausted. She was careful not to let on to it though. She was even amazed at finding some time to rest during all of this. It wasn’t the lack of sleep that was getting to her, she was honestly used to it…it was having absolutely no free time. This was her final year. She wanted to spend some time with her friends. She wanted to spend time with Kace.

Pulling her jacket around herself, she walked out towards the village, that was awakened with life from the incoming flux of students for their day trip. The wind whipped at her curls, tangling them even more than normal. Making it across the grounds to the edge of the village, she stood looking around…waiting.

Madness is what it been lately, he bately had time to know what side was up and what side was down. From Prefect duties to quidditch and doing homework and studying, he was too tired to do much of anything. He honestly didn't know how Christy was doing it, what he had on his plate was enough for him. Being a seventh year sucked, way worse then being a fifth year, that was a walk in the park compared to this.


Putting his black leather jacket on, he headed towards the village with one thing on his mind, spending time with Christy. He missed her like crazy lately, they haven't seen each other much but prefect duties and classes. He wanted more then that, luckily they were finally getting it. Seeing her he smiled. "Hey! Sorry I'm late, had to stay behind and make sure no one that's not supposed to go didn't, but I'm all yours now."

Christy turned hearing his voice and smiled before running up to him and hugging him. “You’re late?” she looked down at her watch, “I didn’t think you were late.” She had figured she would have been late and had surprised herself being on time for once lately. She felt so off with everything and like she was running constantly behind. It surely wasn’t always going to feel like this was it? It had been like this most of her life with a constant schedule that was always full with little time to think. She was honestly glad that she was able to actually have some time to be normal, and experience normal things. Not being dictated to about what had to be done and by when.

“You know, you don’t always have to do that every time.” She reminded him. “Could always let someone else handle that. At least once.” She smiled up at him, “But then again, you’d have probably beaten me here.”

Grabbing a hold of his hand and lacing her fingers between his she smiled, “So just a walk today, or did you have something else planned too?” she asked curiously. All she knew was that they were going to meet here. It had been decided a few days ago when they were in the library studying, somewhere that Christy was spending more time in than ever before. She needed the time to brain dump everything, at least for a little while.

Laughing Kace shrugged he thought he was, maybe for a long time in awhile he was on time for something. Honestly his mind was in a haze lately, he was glad to have some fresh air to clear it. "Maybe I'm on time? Honestly I don't know anymore, regardless I'm here." Hugging her back he smiled feeling her back in his arms. "I missed you like crazy, you have no idea." Well.... maybe she did with her missing him as well.


"I know, but I'm the best at it though, seeing how I know how to sneak out." Didn't mean he liked doing it every Hogsmeade weekend, but he was a troublemaker and snuck out alot. "Probably so, but it's ok I'm done wifh it and free for the rest of the day. "

Smiling he shook his head. "Nope, just going with the flow of things and living in the moment. " He was tired of planning things lately, he just wanted to go crazy and do things in the moment. Besides they were still teenagers some, they needed to have fun and live some. "So where to?" Kissing her softly he smiled at her so glad to be seeing her other then in classes and studying.

Christy laughed, “You mean you missed me outside of studying where I don’t talk unless I’m quizzing you?” she asked giggling a bit. That was about the only time they saw each other outside of classes. She barely made it to meals most days and it was starting to actually show. It wasn’t that she wasn’t eating on purpose, it was the fact that she was so caught up in everything that she would actually forget to eat. “I think I have an idea on you missing me.” She told him truthfully. “I mean, we really haven’t spent much time together like we had over the summer. I got used to seeing you more than just over a text book or in a quidditch match.”

She sighed, “Still doesn’t mean you have to be the one to do that every single time. Half the time you don’t even make it down here at all because you’re stuck doing that. Remember last time?” She spent the entire trip the time before with him making sure people didn’t sneak out and hated every moment of it. She had wanted to come down to the village, but she didn’t want to lose time with Kace. It had made her mad that they had spent all day at the school when she knew they both wanted to get out.

“Sorry.” Christy told him. “Just used to everything being planned. I..I mean we even planned on meeting down here.” Flustered she looked down at the ground, “Ok, I’m going to shut up now.”

She couldn’t help but think to herself I know you two don’t get much time together, but calm down. You’re acting pathetic. Hearing him, Christy looked up, “Where too?” she asked feeling his lips brush against hers as she found herself kissing him back, “Um, I don’t know. Hadn’t thought about it.”

Laughing he shook his head. "As much as I love hearing your voice, I'm glad you're not quizzing me." They sent so many hours srudying Kace would fall asleep when Christy was reading to him.  "Although I don't miss you beating me with a book when I fallen asleep while studying. " He was just teasing her but she did do that sometimes to wake him. Looking over at her lifted his eyebrows curious about her idea.  "Oh really?  Let's hear this brilliant idea of yours. " squeezing her he gave her a soft warm smile.


He nodded and sighed, she was right he remembered last time they were here.  "Yeah... I know,   I remembered barely had any time with you."   One thing he hated about being a perfect was that,  when it was Hogsmeade weekend he wanted time for himself and with Christy.   "Well we're not going to lose any time this time,  Soph is doing it this time." Nore like she told him she had it and go have fun with Christy.

"It's ok honestly I am too, but I just wanted to go with the flow of things,  and live in the moment you know?  I know sounds crazy, but I like it."  Laughing putting a finger lightly  under her skin he lightly made her look up at him as he kissed her softly but sweetly.   "You're cute and adorable when you're like this."

He nodded.  "Well... we got some time and we got  all day to go to all the shops as well."  He wasn't worried about time or anything,  this was their day to have fun.

“W..what?” she asked looking up at him turning a violent shade of pink. “I…I didn’t mean I had an i..idea like that! I..I just meant…” she trailed off swearing to herself in German, her face pink. “J..just that I missed you too is all.” She was so flustered at trying to explain that she hadn’t even cared he was teasing her about studying. It made her wonder if he was teasing her about this too. This was definitely more embarrassing to her than hitting him with a book because he had fallen asleep.

Taking a deep breath Christy sighed, “N..nevermind.” She couldn’t get her heart to stop racing either. Her cheeks were still flushed as she heard him tell her Soph was taking over for today. “T..that was nice of her.”

Oh god, get it together Christabelle. she thought to herself. It’s just Kace. You’ve been around him lots of times by now and you even spent half of last summer with him. She felt her cheeks grow warmer remembering the summer. Her mind raced to replay everything that had happened and hadn’t happened since they had come back to school.

“Kind of like we did this summer?” she asked looking up at him as he tilted her chin up before kissing him back. Her cheeks flushed even more, “Y..you really think this is cute? I feel like I look like a tomato right now.” Her eyes were caught in his and she couldn’t tear them away. What was worse for her, she didn’t want to. “I..I don’t want to be around everyone else.” She said looking up at him. “I kind of just want it to be you and me, if we go to all the shops we won’t get that.”

Laughing he looked at her shaking his head.  "I didn't mean it like that, I was just teasing you."  He didn't know much German but he was learning it thanks to Christy,  but knew she was swearing in German.   "I missed you too,  so much that it killed me."  Seeing her blushing he smirked.   "Is someone thinking about it hm?"  She was just to easy to tease at times,  but it was all playful fun.

Still smirking he let out a laugh.   "Ok... ok... I'm sorry, what's your idea, I really want to know."  Nodding his head he smiled.  "Yeah... told her I'll make it up to her somehow,  just don't know when."

He thought alot about last summer, he played it over and over again in his head like a movie.  Would he like to do the stuff they did during last summer?  Absolutely it was unforgettable and something he'll never forget.  Although they were drunk but he still wanted her as bad as he did last summer.

"Why yeah... it was fun just doing stuff in the moment and not having any plans,  I had a great summer cause of it."  Looking at her he smirked.  "Anymore redder love you'll be almost the color of my sheets on my bed."  He knew he was going to glared at or hit or maybe both.  "Then lets grab some  drinks and food and have our own little picnic."  Giving her a soft warm smile he kissed her forehead.

“What?!” she asked chuckling nervously as her hand went to her head playing with her curls. “W..why would I be thinking about it?” Her face was already violently pink and tipping over into red. It wasn’t a side of her that many people had ever seen except for Kace, Godric and Sophia. How in the world had talking about missing him lead to this?! She was struggling with even finding words anymore which lead to her speaking quietly and quickly in German about how she was being stupid. But she did pick up on the fact that it was amusing to Kace.

“I..I didn’t have an idea.” She said truthfully, “Just said I had an idea of how much you missed me because I missed you too. And I really missed being able to do something other than studying in general.” She was looking down picking at her fingers, while she rolled a rock under her shoe.

Way to go she thought to herself. You let him render you to a rambling idiot who fidgets.

Kace might have been drunk that first night, but she wasn’t. Not enough for it to amount to a difference. And she knew it would happen again if she let it. Her problem was she was so afraid of them getting in trouble at school. Looking up at him, she was starting to miss his arms around her. Feeling them, she was throwing caution to the wind at this point. She just wanted to get away from everyone else and have him all to herself.

Christy heard him mention the sheets on his bed, which caused her eyes to widen and her face to redden more than it already was. She didn’t know how to respond to that. She felt like her heart was going to explode out of her chest as it was. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath trying to calm herself. “Y..yeah. Food and drinks.” She replied quietly as he kissed her forehead. “That sounds good.”

Kace was about to fall over laughing from all this, it was too amusing to him.  "I don't know,  you're stuttering and you only do that when you're lying or you're nervous. " Smirking even more he laughed.  "Plus someone is turning red,  it's cute and adorable."  He thought she was cute when she was like this,  it was a side of her he didn't see very often and to be honest he liked  it.

"Oh... I guess I misunderstood then, my apologies." Kissing her softly and sweetly he smiled.   "It's nice to see each other's company and not be doing homework or studying. "  He was trying to behave,  but he honestly wanted to kiss the hell out of her right here and not give a damn who was watching.  

Ok... so he was drunk but it doesn't mean that he didn't forget about that night.   Honestly he wouldn't mind if it happened again, but like Christy he didn't give a damn if they did or didn't,   but unlike Christy he was a troublemaker.    Although he was being patient for her, although it was running low and thin.  Feeling her in his arms, he felt a wave of relief some, it helped some with his craving for some.

Laughing even more he kissed her passionately he whispered in her ear.   "Maybe we should test that theory out sometime hm?"  He nodded and smiled.  "Ok I'll go get them,  I'll be right back."  Kissing her he ran into the three broomsticks.
