Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Teddy Lupin Empty Teddy Lupin

Post by Teddy R. Lupin Sat Jun 29, 2019 3:31 am

Name: Teddy Remus Lupin
Age: 33
Appearance: Unrily brown hair, dark brown eyes. As a metamorphmagus he can change his appearance, but he does like how he looks. He's rather fit and average height.
Hogwarts House: Former Hufflepuff
Playby: Joseph Gordon Levitt

Facts Known About Character:
-Former Head Boy
-Raised by Harry and Ginny
-Took an active role raising the younger Potters once Harry disappeared
-Metamorphogus

Rumors Known About Character:
-have you heard?? Apparently there’s a werewolf at Hogwarts! Makes sense that some genes would get passed down... (he’s not a werewolf but he’ll let people think it if it keeps the heat off Lily)
-something about a breakup with Victoire Weasley (will coordinate with @Elijah Krum )

Bio: Much of Teddy’s early life is well known. He never knew his parents, but he was raised to understand just how amazing they were. Remus was kind and intelligent, Nymphodora was tenacious and bold. The adults in his life were good about answering his questions with unflinching honesty and he was honest in return. He’s never considered his story tragic. Not many people have the experience of an excess of people willing to parent you.

In school, Teddy was sorted into Hufflepuff and did relatively well. He tried his hand at everything, playing as Keeper for a few years and competing in Wizards Chess. The one thing he truly excelled at was being Prefect. Perhaps it was his experience raising the Potters, but he seemed to know the perfect blend of appeasing the professors and actually being there for the students. Professors seemed to trust his judgement and students knew they could come to him, so it was no surprise when he was made Head Boy his final year.

When he graduated, he tried is hand at becoming an Auror but found it wasn’t for him at all. He trained at Mungo’s but also didn’t stay there. Despite his indecision and lack of direction, Teddy seemed undeterred and unfazed. He had learned from the Potters that life was unpredictable and didn’t line up nicely. He consistently worried if he was on the right path but forced himself to push through for the sake of his siblings, believing they needed to learn to embrace the messy.

That’s what led him to take up teaching.  He realized he was more or less always trying to teach someone something - may as well make it official. He spoke with the Potters to ensure no one would feel he was infringing upon them and has is now entering his seventh year as a professor - a natural fit, all things considered.
