weather chill and thrill!

Snow... snow... and more snow was all that Medusa saw before her as she looked out the window of the Ravenclaw common. She seen a couple of people out having snowball fights and building snowmen, but they weren't anyone she knew. Medusa wanted to have friends, but she was just to shy to meet any due to be bullied in her muggle school. Although she knew she was no longer in her muggle school and haven't been for starting now four years now, she had to let it go and move on. Although it was hard to let go from a pass that haunted you so much when you seen people around you that bully people.

But bored was taking over Medusa, she had to go do something before she went crazy! Going to the girls' dorm she grabbed her jacket and Ravenclaw scarf before heading outside. She really didn't know what she was going to do, but she'll figure out once she gets there.

After deep in thought Medusa snapped out of her trance to realize she was in front of the entrance hall. Raising her eyebrows in surprise, Medusa pushed the door open as the cool breeze hit her face making her wrap her scarf around her face more. Walking down the sloping lawns Medusa walked pass a snowball fight that was in process dodging snowballs that were being thrown from everywhere. Going over towards her own area, Medusa decided that she was going to make her a snowmen. "Yeah... I'll make a snowmen, who says you need people to make a snowmen?"Medusa thought to herself.

Bending down, Medusa scooped some snow into her hands making a ball into her hands as she started making a big ball of snow. Smiling to herself Medusa pushed the ball across the grounds gathering snow for the bottom of her snowmen. Nodding to herself, Medusa patted some snow at the bottom to keep it from rolling away from her. In her own world, Medusa started singing to herself a song to herself she heard Maura singing as she packed snow around the big snow ball that was on the ground.

Elisabeth had spent most of the morning curled up with a book in her dormitory, and soon she had finished it, so she longed for something to do. She looked outside the window at the snow blanketing the ground, and felt like she should get out of the castle for once. 

Elisabeth got up, and put on some warm clothes; jeans, her Ravenclaw Sweater, and boots, followed by her peacoat, boots, and her Ravenclaw scarf. She made her way down to the ground floor and stepped outside into the courtyard, where various students were engaged in snowball fights. To avoid them, Elisabeth ducked and dodged as she walked to the other side of the courtyard, treading through the blanket of snow as she went. 

By the time she reached the other end of the courtyard, she noticed an younger Ravenclaw, Medusa or something else with an M, building a snowman, and was singing a song. She walked over and approached her, although she was two years older than the girl, Elisabeth needed to make some more friends, "Hi," she greeted, "you're Medusa, right?" she asked, hoping she had gotten the young girls name correct, she wasn't exactly the best with names sometimes. "That's a nice snowman you're building," she commented, "would you like any help with it? You look like you could use some company in this cold weather." she asked, smiling warmly at the girl.

Elisabeth was determined to make friends,most of them lived in her books, and she probably seemed fairly anti social at this point. The girl who always had her nose in a book, and was so engrossed in whatever book she was reading, hardly took notice of anything else going on around her unless she was in a lesson.

Medusa screamed and hid behind the snowmen as she heard someone coming near her.  Seeing the girl wasn't going to hurt her, Maura came from behind her snowmen.  "Um... sorry... just a habit of mine, seeing how I been bullied at my muggle school before I came here."said Medusa softly.  Medusa nodded shyly at her question.  "Yes I am, but I prefer to be called Dessa though, I don't like the name Medusa sounds to evil."said Medusa honestly.   "I'm sorry I screamed, I just shy due to being scared to make any friends due to getting bullied!"said Medusa.

Medusa smiled when she said she liked her snowmen.  "Thanks,  and course you can help, I need the company!"said Medusa honestly.   "I think I seen you in the common room, your a Ravenclaw aren't you?"Medusa asked her softly.  Medusa must of worn she seen her around the common room when she was talking to Katie and stuff.  Although she wasn't as popular as Katie was yet, she hoped to be known like Katie was.

Medusa wanted to make more friends, she was tired of not having any friends.  The years of her being bullied at her muggle school were over, it was time for her to step out of the darkness and out of her shell.  She only had three more years here, and she knew they were going to fly by fast, so she had to make the best of it now before it was to late.  With this new marriage law and decrees it might already be to late.

Medusa hated how things were right now, it wasn't fair that the older students should have to marry someone they didn't love, it was just torture to them! Ripping them away from their loved ones, forcing them to marry when they were only sixteen or seventeen years old! She knew people were getting married at seventeen and eighteen and stuff, but that was because they loved each other, not because they were forced by some stupid law! Medusa was lucky that she didn't have to do that, but she watched people after people lives become ruin because of it which wasn't a pretty sight!
