Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Sometimes songs are the best way to let things out! Empty Sometimes songs are the best way to let things out!

Maura had to get away, she had to get away form all the stuff that was going on around her lately. Maura was worried and stressed out about alot of things that were happening right now right in front of her very eyes. She knew she shouldn't worry but she couldn't help it, she couldn't help not to wonder where her best friend was, she haven't heard anything from her and she was getting worried. Ryo told her she needed to stop stressing out and worrying, it wasn't good for her or the baby. Maura knew he was right, but there were so many things making her worry and stress out.

Music was Maura's get away, her escape from life and every stress and worry that was weighing upon her shoulders. Upon entering the Orchestra and Music classroom a smile came to her face. It been awhile since she entered this room, but she spent alot of time in here sometimes due to her reminding it of him. This was where her and Ryo first met, it was the only thing she kept close to her when she missed him.

Walking pass the violins and the basses Maura headed towards the piano and opened up her songbook and started writing some lyrics that popped into her head. Putting her pencil down. Maura started playing a melody that came to her on the piano and smiled liking how it sounded. "Lets see how it sounds with the lyrics I wrote."Maura said softly to herself as she read the lyrics and smiled to herself. Realizing the song was about Ryo of course she chuckled to herself.

She didn't know where the lyrics came from, they just came to her the minute she walked into the room. "This room has been really good to me."said Maura softly to herself as she looked at the lyrics again and smiled. "Ok... lets see how it sounds with this melody I came up with."said Maura softly.

"I remember life before
Faraway dreams and locking doors
Then you came, then you came
Afraid to fall, to be free
Always were our worst enemy."

"Wow.. not bad Mars not bad at all."said Maura softly to herself. Although she thought it was weird how the lyrics just came to her though. " I miss him so much." Maura told herself softly. "Is it weird that I'm Obsessed with him?"Maura thought to herself. "Nah... you love him, it's normal your engaged and pregnant with his baby girl for crying out loud!' a voice in her head told her. She missed him and Hallie, she missed Hallie and her talking about girl stuff, and she missed Ryo holding her in the common room after a long day. Maura didn't like how everything was changing around her, first the marriage law and now Hogwarts, she didn't know how much more she could take! Maura didn't like this new change, it honestly scared her.

Elisabeth wanted to practice bass, it was one of the things she was good at besides well being smart she supposed. Playing bass was her creative side of Ravenclaw showing, and she enjoyed playing it. She had started when she was still in primary school, and had kept to the habit, orchestra being one of her extracurricular activities at Hogwarts. So, after grabbing some of the music they'd been working on; a bit of Dvorak, some Corelli, and Bach, she headed down from Ravenclaw tower to the orchestra room.

As Elisabeth neared the orchestra room, she heard piano music coming from inside, and someone singing, she hadn't realized she had already walked in. "Sorry to bother you." she apologized, "I'll just, um, get my bass and my bow and get out of your way." she said, "What you were playing sounded really good though," she commented, grabbing her bass from one of the racks, "I can't play piano except for a few chords and some simple scales." she added, placing her French bow in its quiver. "I'm much better at bass since I've played it much longer." she explained.

((OOC: We actually played Dvorak's New World Symphony, Corelli's Christmas Concerto, and Bach's overture in D major (I think) In orchestra this year))

Maura looked at the girl and chuckled. "No it's ok, I just didn't know anyone would be here at this time of day!"said Maura honestly. "You don't have to leave, you have every right to be here then I do."said Maura honestly.

Maura smiled when she said what she was playing was nice. "Aw... thankyou, it's a song I wrote, not quite finished but it's a work in process."said Maura softly. "I'm hoping to get it finished today, I don't know why but I really want to frinish this song, it sounds so good!"said Maura.

Looking at the girl Maura smiled. "Oh I see, I used to play violin at my old muggle school, but that was ages ago!"said Maura softly. "I can play piano, violin, flute and harp."said Maura naming off a bit of instruments she could play. "Although my fiancé Ryo, can he play almost anything!"said Maura honestly. "There I go again, thinking about him!"said Maura softly to herself.
