Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Flying over OWLs Empty Flying over OWLs

Molly walked onto the Quidditch pitch and saw that Brian was already there. This didn't surprise her, since he had legged it out of the room earlier. She had only been five minutes, it wasn't like she was late or anything. Molly had a habit of being late for classes, but never for Quidditch.

It was a great day for Quidditch. The weather was good today, sunny and relatively warm compared to what it usually was like. Though Molly always thought it was cold up at Hogwarts, compared to her home down in London. It wasn't raining though, which it had been a fair bit recently, so that was a good thing. Well, she didn't mind the rain usually, but it wasn't the nicest weather for playing Quidditch in.

Molly tried to see which broom Brian had, without being too obvious. She had an old shooting star and wished she had the money to buy a new one, but her parents never gave her nearly enough money to do that. That was the other reason for wanting a job over the summer, as well as to get away from her parents. She loved her family, but being around all of them all the time for the summer was a bit much for all of them.

Molly jumped on her broom and flew over Brian. "What you waiting for?" she called out, then did a quick lap of the field.

Brian pulled his broom out of its case as she looked to inspect what it was. It was the best broom on the market, the Lightning Bolt, and boy was it fast. When he had first gotten it he almost fell off multiple times from the sheer speed the broom had. He had since grown used to it and could now fly with absolute ease.

He mounted his broom and he flew into the air, easily catching up with Molly, he passed her and looked back with a smile on his face. "What are YOU waiting for?" He laughed and then took off at full speed, quickly getting ahead of her and heading towards the goals. He flew through the loops, demonstrating his speed and control, showing off basically.

Molly realised the broom was a lightening bolt. She wished she had one, but had nowhere near enough money. She was trying to persuade her parents to buy her one, but they didn't think she needed one. They were more concerned with her grades. She wished they cared more about things like Quidditch sometimes. Molly wondered what the Weasley side of her family was like, her Dad didn't seem that close to them so she didn't know her Aunts, Uncles and cousins that well.

Brian's voice brought her back to reality. She watched him zoom up the field, jealous of his broom. She caught up with him, smiling, the wind brushing past her always made her happy, it made her feel free.

"We don't all have top of the range brooms. If we did, I swear we'd beat Slytherin hands down every time." Molly commented, thinking about when the next Quidditch match would be. She was very proud of her spot on the team, and hoped she might make captain in the next couple of years.

(It's open Soooooooooo)

It was a nice and sunny day. The kind that Nick Potter would go outside a fly on his broom. Nick had just gotten a new broom, it was a Comet 720. It wasn't as fast as a lightning bolt, but it turned really well. The broom was perfect for the graduating ex Gryffindor chaser.

As he flew to the pitch his eyes were set on two of his former teammates, Brian and Molly. Brian was some sort of hotshot, Nick never paid attention to the seekers much, preferring to pay more attention to the chasers and beaters. He knew that Molly wasn't the best player, but she knew that and Nick respected her for that. Though Molly had been getting a lot better. She would be a star on the team in her sixth year.

Finally Nick was where they were. "Hey guys" he said to the pair.

[[OOC: Yup Nick, it is indeed open!]]

"Looks like we're not the only ones who wanted to escape the castle today." Molly said to Brian, indicating towards Nick, their fellow team mate, who had just come out. Molly was sad to see him graduate at the end of the year, but she really hoped she would be able to become the best chaser on the team next year, even if she didn't make captain.

"Hey Nick." she greeted him as he flew up to join them. "We've only just got out of the castle. Studying wasn't going too well. Plus Quidditch is way much more fun than boring books." she briefly explained.

Bored of sitting still on her broom, she dove down to the ground, to see how far she could go. She pulled up a bit too soon though. She always did, it was a reflex of hers. It meant she didn't generally crash, but she wanted to improve.

"We could beat Slytherin every time if they let me play every position." His words fell on deaf ears as he was going at top speed around the pitch. Anything he said was nothing more than a blur in the wind. He could not tell if he was impressing Molly or not, either way, he was in his spot. The one place in the world where girls, school, wars, where nothing mattered except him and his broom.

He turned and he noticed a fellow Gryffindor whom he had played with the past couple of years. He did not speak to Nick much, he always seemed to have more important things to do than to speak to Brian, which was his loss. He was always fond of the older student, mostly because he played Quidditch, but he also played it well so that came into play.

He flew down in the direction of the pair on his broom. "What's up old man!" Brian said in a playful tone as his broom came to a stop beside both of them. "Going for one last hoorah before it's time to move on?"

Ugh this was one of the reasons why Nick never spoke to Brian much. He was arrogant at times. He thought he was a mvp and better than the pro league seekers. He also used women. But if you got past all that, he could be cool at times. "Yeah it was just boring inside. There was nothing to do and I'm finished with my NEWTS." Nick said plainly. He then got close to Brian. "So I've heard rumours about you and Hallie." He whispered with a smile. Hallie was a nice girl and Nick thought she deserved better.

Nick turned his attention to Molly.

"If you wait until your about two inches above the ground before you pull up, you'll naill it every time." He said loudly because the wind started to pick up. "If you want to make studying fun do what I did. Get a group of five other people. Whoever team finished their homework first got to hit bludgers at the other team." He suggested.

Molly thought Brian said something about Slytherin, but she couldn't tell because he was zooming around the pitch once more. If it was anything important, he would have made sure she heard, she told herself. He was back into show off mode now, she realised.

Her attention turned to Nick, the more stationary of the two boys. He advised her on waiting until she was two inches above the ground to pull up, but at the moment it was more like ten. Maybe she could get a bit lower, she thought.

"I'll try." she responded, then swooped down into a graceful dive. She ended up pulling up at more like seven inches, but she was improving. As a chaser, she didn't need to dive much, but she liked learning new things, since broom skills were one thing she was actually good at.

"Well, I am getting better." she thought aloud, as she returned to Nick's height.
