The Breakfast Club Empty The Breakfast Club

Post by Alexander Jones Thu Jan 03, 2013 7:52 am

Alex was in detention once again. Although that was a good thing living at the school, so you wouldn't have to come back to your house, to see your parents disappointed faces. Alex had been in detention before, and there was no rule against wearing casual clothes. So he wore his Hufflepuff Nike hoodie, under it a black plain T-Shirt, and some jeans. He walked slowly down the corridors, not feeling like being stuck a couple hours in detention, especially when it was such a nice day outside. Alex's detention was a deed of a prank gone wrong. It was the old bucket over the door thing, except, the bucket had fallen on top of the teachers head, knocking him out. And like an idiot, feeling guilty, Alex had admitted being guilty to his friend, and the whole class over heard him, including the teacher. So that's what had put Alex in detention.

As he walked into the detention room, he realized that the reason he was standing out like that, is because he didn't have many friends. He had at one time had a lot of friends, but Lysander had disappeared, Rhys had died from that damn sickness, that at times made Alex punch the wall thinking about it. And Sam, though they were still considered best friends, he didn't see him a whole lot that often. A couple of days ago it had been new years, and Alex had spent it alone, well at a party. And most guys would be happy to party that night, had a whole bunch of girls ask you for a New Years Kiss. Which Alex had accepted to one girl, even though not enjoying it, he had done it.

He sat down, and signed the paper with the list of names, according to the list, four more where going to come, though he didn't read the names. He sat down, and put his head back in resting.

((I know maybe your character isn't one for detention, but make it a fluke or something?))

The Breakfast Club Empty Re: The Breakfast Club

Post by Kaleigh Witt Thu Jan 03, 2013 8:11 am

Kaleigh was mentally scolding herself as she walked to the detention area. She still couldn't believe she received detention just for being late too class twice. It was a innocent mistake, wasn't even her fault really. She just was stopped both times by a few third years who were lost and Kaleigh was late because she led them to their classes first. Honestly she believes that they did that on purpose for some reason. Mainly because it was the same group both times, but Kaleigh couldn't help but be nice and help.

She sighed heavily as she stopped outside of the door, besides Sam, she didn't really have many friends. Ever since Jimmy disappeared, she shuddered at the thought of him again. She was still desperately trying to forget him because it was blatantly obvious that he was never going to return. She shuffled her feet for a second before walking inside of the classroom, noticing that a boy was already there. Biting her lip in nervousness, she signed the paper at the front and quickly took a seat. Kaleigh continued biting her lip, looking down at the floor. She still hadn't quite figured out how to talk to people without stuttering every five words.

She was half tempted to look over at the boy and start a conversation with him but decided against it. Her shyness getting the better of her, the thought of talking made her blush slightly and she allowed her hair to fall over her face to cover the blush in her cheeks.

The Breakfast Club Empty Re: The Breakfast Club

As Alex closed his eyes, as he tried to take a nap through the four hours of detention, and you know, nobody ever had love for detention. His eyes where blurry, looking outside the window. The Half Vampire took a blood flavored lollipop from his pocket and stuck it in his mouth, as he sucked on it, feeling a sensation, like when you're cold, and you eat hot coco. It was like that. He didn't have to feed off of Humans, and doesn't gave as much as a craving as full Vampires. He heard the door open, and heard steps as they walked it. The fifth year turned to see a pretty girl coming in. She was more than likely older than him.

"What did they get you for?" Alex asked, wondering the reason they had sent her to detention, turning towards the girl, with his signature boyish smile. "The name's Alex." He told her, as he turned his seat, to be pointing at her. "I'm here for a prank gone wrong." Alex responded. But why was he asking her for? Alex himself knew he was a child prodigy detective. He could deduce things out of people, only meeting them at first sight. Well, that, and he was also a seer. But you know, he creeped people out by doing that, so he decided not to.

The Breakfast Club Empty Re: The Breakfast Club

It was about time that all her detentions caught up with Amelia. She had detentions for missing detentions. She had a feeling this was going to be the most boring day of her life. Who would think a ‘perfect’ would rack up so many detentions and still no one did anything about it? Amelia knew it was that everyone wasn’t doing anything about it because they all think she is acting out because of her siblings. Between her stupid astral projection viewing dreams and OWL’s being this year she didn’t have time for detentions. And stupid Perfect duties aren’t helping.

So detentions meant nothing to her. She never realized it until she was sitting in utter boredom that the classes she skipped were always the ones she had her siblings in with her. She didn’t understand why it was such a big deal she had so many detentions. She was passing every classes and keeping up with homework. She’ll still manage to ace most of her OWL’s.

She rolled up a ball of paper and tossed it into the air over and over catching it when it fell. She was bored out of mind. She wasn’t even thinking anymore. She just kept throwing up and catching it. It was a useless way of passing time. Also a rather boring way.

It turned out that skipping all of those detentions didn't help him at all. But Andrei never took the professors seriously in the first place, perhaps that was the main issue. He saw detention more as a suggestion than an obligation. For a while he managed to get out of them easily, but now that the staff had caught up on what he was doing, his obligated hours of sitting in this wretched room only doubled. He thought it was quite ironic, in a sad way. However, for the first time in a while, Andrei felt he had no other option but to actually serve his time.

With a fixed frown on his face and books in his hand, he walked into the detention room. Andrei figured if he was going to be stuck here for such a long time, he might as well be doing homework. School was something he was way behind on lately, as he often got to busy with his other projects. Homework was definitely not very high in his priority level, but for the next few weeks it will have to be if he wanted to pass all of his classes. A glance across the room helped him determine he was not alone. Obviously he wasn't the only poor soul who was stuck here. He saw a Hufflepuff guy who was taking to a girl dressed in a Ravenclaw uniform. And then he saw another Hufflepuff. Not just any Hufflepuff though - it was that Macmillian girl.

He sighed deeply as he glanced at her. The universe did not like him today, that was sure. Merlin only knew how would he survive being stuck in this room for hours with her here as well. Passing next to her, he let out a chuckle. "Seems that Princess peach forgot her manners", he said in a low voice as he was passing by. Oh you got to love the irony that brought a perfect into the detention room. Taking a seat in the back row, he couldn't help but stare at her. But nevertheless he was desperately trying to restrain himself from blasting a spell on her head. She had surely deserved it.

Sarah rolled her eyes at the thought of her having a detention for something so stupid and wasn' t her fault. She tried to explain to the Professor that the potion explosion wasn' t her fault, it was probably peeves or a prank but he didn' t believe her. Walking down the second floor corridor she reached the detention room and signed her name on the sheet before taking a seat across from Kaleigh. Sarah was wearing her red Gryffindor hoodie with blue jeans and black boots. Taking a piece of gum out of her hoodie she started chewing it crossing her arms in front.of her hee emerald eyes staring ahead.

"Sam is going to be so mad me."said Sarah softly to herself sighing at the thought of her brother Sam chewing her out and demanding she wrote to their parents telling them she gotten detention. It wasn' t her fault Peeves switched the ingredients in Potion class and it was just her potion that exploded covering everyone in boils including her. "Nesbitt' s don' t get detentions."Sarah thought to herself as she started blowing bubbles. Sarah would of thought she would get detention for being in the.forest after curfew seeing the unicorns. Not something as stupid as a potion explosion that wasn' t her fault to begin with in the first place.

(Your text is hard to read when it's in yellow Alex.)

Kaleigh heard the boy talk but it took her a second to realize what he said, also the fact that he was talking to her. "Oh... I... wa..was late to.. class.. twice" She said quietly stuttering out her sentence. She turned her head to look at him as she heard his chair move. "I'm.... My name is Kaleigh" She said trying to gain a little bit of confidence. The boy looked to be a few years younger then him.

"I'm here for a prank gone wrong."

She raised an eyebrow at him, kids were doing pranks all the time. She was curious what prank he done. "What would that have been?" She asked as a girl walked into the room. Kaleigh looked at her just as the girl was throwing a paper wad in the air. Then another boy walked in, who appeared to have looked at his surroundings. He didn't seem to like the other girl very much it appeared to Kaleigh. Then Sarah walked in and that's when Kaleigh sighed slightly in relief. She knew of Sarah thanks to her long time best friend Sam. "Hi Sarah, why.. why are you here?" She asked her confused as Sarah took a seat across from her.

Alex listened to the girl as she stuttered. He had met shy girls before, lots of shy girls. And though he was ashamed of it, he had used that to his advantage a couple of times. Which looking back at the last couple of months in his life, it kind of made him an asshole, before that, he was always the nice guy, respecting girls, but then he got with every girl he could. He listened to her, as she introduced himself. "Ah... They give detention for that now? That totally sucks." Alex said. He had remembered he had gone a whole bunch of times being late, but never gotten any detention, just a couple of 'Don't be late again', or 'Let it be the last time Mr Jones'.

He realized a couple of other people entering, a girl, which from deduction, Alex had found out she was a Gryffindor. "Hey," Alex said, introducing himself. Then Amelia had walked in, Alex turned, as the last time he had saw her, she had been nursing for him after a Quidditch accident. He had actually formed a little crush on her, but wouldn't really act on it. "Yo." He greeted her. Then another boy had come in, and once he came in, and the door closed. Alex heard the classroom door lock. He knew it was probably going to happen

The Breakfast Club Empty Re: The Breakfast Club

Amelia stopped throwing the ball of paper soon as she saw a certain Slytherin. She couldn’t believe her luck. She was really wishing she had just gone to that first detention now. This was going to be torture. She had a feeling she’ll be getting a detention while in detention. This could get ugly.

She swore under her breath as he passed her. It was taking a lot of self-control to keep her from tripping him or hexing or even going all muggle fighting. She honestly hated that Dolohov boy. Not only the boy himself but his whole family, so it was a bit stupid to continue the same hate for a family her mum had but it was a good reason. Who knows maybe they were part of what happened to her family? She wouldn’t start anything she wasn’t afraid to end something if he started it. But she still didn’t want to get hurt in a duel and be stuck in here.

Amelia got up and moved behind Alex and the Ravenclaw group. She was away from Dolohov but close enough to keep an eye on him. He was watching her and it was creeping her out. “Please don’t scare at me,” she said forcing herself to be sweet, friendly and polite. She wasn’t trying to make friends just to survive today without getting another detention.

“Hey Alex, are you feeling any better?” she asked turning her attention away to someone else she rather think about. She had missed not talking to him lately. She was a bit mad at him for a while for not really being there for her when she lost her siblings but she had forgiven him.

Andrei smirked at Amelia's words. It seemed that she was actually trying to be nice. Surely because she didn't want another detention. And if he thought of it, neither did Andrei. He had plenty of them to do without another week stacking onto his pile for punching the Macmillian girl. "Do I look terrifying?", he asked with a chuckle. "I'm not staring, I'm just wondering what a prefect has to do to get herself detention. Pretty impressive if you ask me"

Sure he could tease and play around with Amelia, but he definitely didn't wanted to cross that line with her today. Trouble was not something he needed more of. If he stayed away from subjects such as her brother, her family and Alice, he was quite sure he could achieve this feat. With a little cooperation from her side of course. "I don't know about you, but I don't need any more detentions added to my list", he said speaking to Amelia.

His head turned away and he examined the rest of the room. He didn't know anyone here, but a certain Gryffindor girl seemed familiar to him. "You're Sarah right? Nesbitt?" he asked as she was sitting near him. He had remembered Alice talk about her a bit and he saw the two of them hanging out plenty of times. But other than that, he didn't know much else about the girl.
