Rainy day

Rise made a face and shook her head. "Yeah I've tried that before.. not the best idea... there are a few nice ones.. but to be honest, they kind of stick to themselves.. any others are completely off the deep end and need to be looked at.. " She said shaking her head. "They don't like me, and I don't really like them.. not much else you can do when personalities don't fit.." she said, looking slightly frustrated at her own predicament. "There are a few people who are kind to me.. and a few people who are the worst.." She said softly, glancing at Monroe.

"You are kind to me.. but then again, you want to be the Minister of Magic.. you are going to be kind to everyone.." She said and let her feet drag on the floor for a moment before walking correctly again. "I just don't get along with people.. or werewolves.. maybe I should go live in the forbidden forest.. be safer for everyone.. " She said softly, her eyes downcast.

"Please don't do that."

The words were out before Monroe had even thought about what he was saying. He'd been mostly thinking that Destrey and Shylock liked to hang out down there, and most people would come up second best in a confrontation with them. Even Risé would, if it wasn't full moon. Now, he had to come up with a more plausible explanation.

"I need you," he added. "I'm not a werewolf, or a vampire, or a veela. I need someone who can tell me what it's like."

He also needed someone who was not so convinced that everything was hopeless as Risé, but perhaps once she had a friend, she might be able to pull herself out of her slump.

For the first time in his life, Monroe wondered if therapy was even a legitimate career for witches and wizards, or did everyone just go have a chat with the local soothsayer?

Rise's eyebrows shot into the air with his exclamation. What did he mean? Why wouldn't he want her to do that? It'd be better for everyone, including herself, especially if she died out there.. But his second sentence made her even more surprised, surprised to the point of not walking, and staring at this boy who she had just met.

"I need you,"

She stared at him for a long moment, shaking her head. "You don't wanna know what it's like to be me okay.. you really, really don't.. you don't wanna know about the full moon, or what goes on in a Werewolves head.. well, at least my head, I don't know if all Werewolves are like me or not.. I don't think they are, I think it's different for everyone, because that's just how it is.. but you don't wanna know about me.." She said shaking her head firmly. "You do not."

Monroe raised his eyebrow. It was not often people tried to tell him his wishes.

"Do I need to invest in a choke-chain, Risé?" he asked.
