Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Seeing is believing Empty Seeing is believing

Post by Silvyr Svan Fri Dec 30, 2011 12:46 pm

Silvyr trotted through the woods with Leah close by his side. They had been walking for days and he was ready for some well needed rest when he got to the brooms. After his business was taken care of, of course. He morphed back into his human form before exiting the woods.

He was becoming more cautious of who he allowed to see him in his wolf form. He enjoyed knowing that few people knew of his secret and that it would keep him safe in years to come. He realized upon exiting that he had take a direct path to the back of the brooms. He walked to the back door ushering Leah in before he closed the door behind them.

He went up to the room that he had reserved a while back. He thought to himself, Next on the list. Find another place to stay. The inn was expensive and he was paying double now for the nights he wasn't using the room and extra for the nights they fed his owl.

He found everything to be in order as he checked the room for his belongings. He pulled up a seat at the desk as Leah found a place on the bed to fall asleep in. She curled into a ball and began her slumber before Silvyr had noticed where she had gone.

Rest wasn't something he had time for now. He grabbed a sheet of parchment and his quill.

Miseria Lupin,

I am in Hogsmeade as you asked. I am departing tomorrow no matter if we speak or not.
Meet me in the Three Broomsticks at five pm.

Silvyr

He sealed the envelope and walked to his owl. She was ready to fly and began shifting her wings as he got closer to her cage. Miseria Lupin, he whispered to his beautiful bird before opening the cage and allowing her to fly around the room twice. She landed on his arm and he attached the letter before walking her over to the window. As soon as she could fit her body out she took flight vanishing into the clouds after mere seconds of flight.

He motioned at the door with his left hand lazily and the lock flew into place sealing the world out. He morphed quickly and curled up next to Leah. Quickly joining a quiet state of rest with Leah.

Seeing is believing Empty Re: Seeing is believing

Post by Miseria Lupin Fri Dec 30, 2011 1:11 pm

Miseria would even blow up the walls in Hogwarts just to make herself feel a little bit better. She was bored. Really bored. Nothing to do in the library, nothing to do in the common room and other students weren't interesting enough right now. They wouldn't go and jump off a bridge just to satisfy her now would they? Even if she'd jump with them.
Slowly, she walked to the Great hall, feeling that only food would make her feel better, only temporarily, but still. At least that would take away her misery. She couldn't even start a food fight because there weren't many students around. Ah, sometimes christmas holidays were so annoying! So boring!

She took a seat far away from the others and filled her dish with the salat though she didn't even eat it. Miseria was about to fill her cup with a juice when she heard something coming right at her. Looking around, she bowed her head just on time not to get scratched by bird's claws. “Sneak-attacks are supposed to be quiet... Next time try to be quiet...er,“ she told to the owl and unwrapped the letter from it's leg.

Before she could even finish the reading, she laughed loudly. Finally something to do, somewhere to go! She didn't know that Silvyr guy well enough but meeting with him would probably cheer her up a little. She gave some of her white bread to the bird before standing up. She put the letter in her pocked and left the Great hall. Sneaking out of Hogwarts was easy for her. She didn't rush while walking to Hogsmeade, however, she was already cursing herself for not putting on a warmer coat and proper hat.

She entered the Three Broomsticks where warmth welcomed her, and Miseria sighed quietly, feeling little better. And after freezing outside for that long she still dared to say that winter was her favourite season. I guarantee to you now that you will be sick for tomorrow morning! She asked from where she could find Silvyr Svan and after getting the directions, she soon was standing behind his door, knocking softly at it.

Seeing is believing Empty Re: Seeing is believing

Silvyr's ears perked up. He looked down to see Leah asleep and unaware of the noise at the door. The simple thought ran through his mind, Some help you are.

He jumped off the bed and morphed quickly. As soon as he was standing at his normal 6 foot he looked around his room. He noticed the notes sitting on the table that were out and scattered. He lifted his hand with little thought and the papers and quills neatly stacked themselves on the table.

He checked his vest pocket to make sure that his wand was still where he had left it. The feeling of the thin stick like wand in the pocket put his thoughts to rest.

He walked to the and door spoke grog-ally, "Who is it?" He wasn't ready to defend an attack but he had his wand at arms length.

Seeing is believing Empty Re: Seeing is believing

Post by Miseria Lupin Sun Jan 01, 2012 10:15 am

It took some time before she got a reply from inside the room. Miseria raised her eyebrows when she heard Silvyr's tone and question. Already forgot that he'd invited her? She smirked. "Mary Poppins," she answered, leaning at the wall next to the door. It looked like Silvyr was afraid of something? An attack maybe? Oh, who would bother to come and visit him with such intentions right now, when everyone were/was (xD) celebrating christmas holidays and such?

She sighed quietly. Miseria didn't want to stand all night long behind this door and wait till Silvyr opens his damn door. So she took her letter that he had sent to her and put it under his door and pushed it forward. Miseria wasn't exactly the greatest opponent that Silvyr would have, but she would be good enough to keep him down for some time. If they were about to step in a duel.
Besides, there was nothing that he should be afraid of her. Yes, she had her wand with her, but Miseria had no intentions to attack the poor man.

He looked down at the letter that hit his foot. He recognized the wax seal, which had been broken, that he had sealed but an hour ago. He picked it up and opened it though it didn't take a second glance to recognize his hand writing.

Chouette flew through the window bringing in a gust of cold air behind him. He flew in front of Silvyr before landing on the chair in front of his desk. He looked at him, wondering why the Owl hadn't returned sooner. Do I not feed you? He thought. Though the realization of the weeks he had been gone over the past months came to him. He wished it hadn't

He opened the door and looked at the girl standing at the door. She looked as if he had done her wrong. "Sorry for keeping you waiting. You're early." He said as he motioned for her to enter his room.

He closed the door behind her and turned to look at the young woman now in his room. "I'm glad you came. Lucky I caught you before classes began again. Please make yourself at home."

He thought to himself, "Time to work."

Seeing is believing Empty Re: Seeing is believing

Post by Miseria Lupin Sun Jan 01, 2012 11:28 am

Miseria wondered how long would it take for Silvyr to open the door. Was he still suspicious? When the door finally opened and Miseria entered the room. "If it's a problem I can return in an hour or so," she said with a smile on her face.
When he allowed her to make herself "at home" she took a seat next to the white wolf and looked at it:"And what's her name?" she asked quietly. It was funny that she had always loved wolves, too. And as a matter of fact, she was one as well. And even funnier - when she transformed, she also had white fur. Sweet.

"Right... Why exactly am I here now?" Miseria fixed her brown eyes at Silvyr; she leaned her head slighty to the right. He obviously had something important to tell her. Otherwise he wouldn't even bother to write to her? But instead of staring at him like she always did to make other people feel uncomfortable, she reached out her hand and gently patted white wolf's head, enjoying the touch of her soft fur on her skin.

Silvyr turned slowly making eye contact with the girl as she spoke. He hoped he didn't look as exhausted as he felt but her warm smile made him realize she didn't seem to notice. He motioned for Chouette to move as he walked over to his chair at his desk.

The owl opened its wings and rose in the air before gliding to the window sill once again.

Silvyr spun the chair around as the girl behind him spoke again. He took a seat and looked up to see her petting Leah's forehead. He thought rapidly, "Don't make yourself to at home, girl." Though before given him a chance to answer her question she spoke again.

Silvyr spoke with a business like tone after she had finished speaking and looked down towards Leah again. "That is Leah. And yes, let us get right down to business. You have sparked an interest in the eye's of some very powerful and wealthy people." He was calm and his mind was flowing easily now. The cobwebs were now cleared from his mind. He loved speaking to like minded witches and wizards. Only time would tell where this young witch's mind stood.

"You will not be forced or threatened in any way from myself or anyone else who works for me. If you decide to join us then you will finish the remainder of your school year as scheduled. You will go on to lead a regular unaltered life to the extent of your wishes. There are only a few requirements but we will discuss those after your decision."

He lifted his hand swiftly to cut her off before she was able to speak. Leah's head had lifted and she was now staring at the door. Silvyr drew his wand and began to make a shield in front of the three of them before silencing their conversation to anyone who might be listening.

He waited a few more seconds before noticing that Leah had gone back to enjoying the attention from the girl. He sat back down and spoke smoothly, "Excuse the interruption. Now I believe it was your turn to speak."

Seeing is believing Empty Re: Seeing is believing

Post by Miseria Lupin Sun Jan 01, 2012 9:48 pm

She did notice that he was looking really tired, but it wasn't her thing to mention it. Miseria didn't love when people asked her stupid questions or told her the most obvious facts, and she doupted that the others loved it, too.
When he introduced his wolf to her, Mis looked at her and smiled, though it seemed that Leah wasn't really interested in her. In fact it looked like she didn't care if Miseria was there or not. She sighed quietly and looked back at Silvyr, also lowering her hand, putting it on her knee. For some reason it seemed to her that even her host wasn't pleased with her company.

Miseria raised her eyebrow; not in a surprise, though she was beguiled. Oh? She did? That was interesting. And really strange since she wasn't exactly the 'outgoing' type of a person who'd go around and brag with her abilities. She leaned her head again to the right and stared at Silvyr while he explained her the situation.
By what he told her now she understood that there was new organisation that was looking for powerful members.
Sadly, she didn't knew Silvyr so she thought about him as another powerhungry man who was trying to create something new, more interesting and more – maybe – thrilling that would change the world.

She was about to ask and learn more about his plan when she was silenced by his movement and she looked at the door right when Leah did so. She raised her eyebrows, curiously, wondering if there was anyone else who was invited. But no. Instead, she saw how he took out his wand and made a shield so that no one could hear them. Oh, so it was also a secret? How... interesting?

Questions from her didn't come immediately. Instead she started scratching behind Leah's ear. She loved wolves, too. They were all so beautiful. Such powerful, and wonderful wild animals! They were also loners and could survive without any help of other's. In this case, Miseria was the same. She was able to do things all alone, and not depending on anyone else. In fact it was even better. Easier to go on with everything.

“First of all I'd like to know why you decided to trust me? As I can see, this information is not meant for everyone? Well what if I'm about to tell about this to my friends, my family?“

Silvyr listened to her intently. He answered her questions in order, "I have not trusted you with anything yet. So I must ask, how did you get it in your mind that you know anything about who or what i'm talking about. You know Leah and I, who could work for a new up and coming news paper as far as you know. His face didn't change as he responded slowly, "Now if you decide to go down that road, then I am no longer responsible for you. But please understand that I haven't told you anything and anything you say will be discredited immediately. If you continue to push then it will only end badly for your young reputation in the wizarding world. It would be a shame to see someone such as you working a dead end job when you could take this opportunity and do whatever it is that you wish without ever being bothered with worries of the world. We are all in influential positions and it would end up being your word against ours." His voice becoming almost mocking. "Does anyone know you left the castle?" He asked, knowing the answer. "Right now, as we speak, I am openly known to be visiting my family in Sweden." His smile fading some when he looked back at the girl.

His facial features showing some emotion towards the girl sitting in front of him for the first time. "Sadly if this is the road you decide to go down, then I will have to ask you to leave before I speak with you further. The decision is yours. Please make it quickly because I am not interested in playing the what if game with a student." He knew that it would be difficult dealing with young wizards but they needed minds that were clear from the ways of the wizarding world as it was.

He sat waiting for the young witch's response. Hoping that she would come to her senses before it was to late.

Seeing is believing Empty Re: Seeing is believing

Post by Miseria Lupin Mon Jan 02, 2012 9:14 am

Miseria giggled quietly. People always underestimated her. Then she became serious:“No, I don't know what you're talking about,“ she confessed. “But how did I get the idea? I hope that I'm not offending you with my answe now, but here's the thing: when people are talking about something bigger, they get paranoid. For example; you didn't let me in immediately. I suspect that you were afraid of an attack. Maybe you got some enemies, maybe you were just having a bad day, who knows. Then you put on a shield so that no one could hear us, though I highly doupt that the room maid is ever interested in our talk.“
She took a deap breathe. Oh, why did she always go on this road? People were always mad at her! “You can threat me however you want and with what you want,“ she told him with a calm voice. God, how many times people have threatened her?

“No,“ she replied. Silvyr's answer, on the other hand, was so cute. Visiting his family in Sweden. “God, I knew that you were from those Scandinavian lands!“ she out gasped loudly. But then she smiled again and gave him a short answer:“No.“
She wanted to know. She came here because of Silvyr, damn it, and hopefully it wasn't just a waste of time!
