Hard Winters Day

Jack dragged Aurora down the path to the Great Lake. He honestly couldn't care less that it was in the middle of winter. The giant lake was frozen over, but with a thin layer of ice. Jack stopped at the edge of the lake and stared at Aurora, grinning like a maniac. he stepped onto the ice, and took another step, and started walking slowly on it. He then tripped onto the ice, smashing his face against the sheets, and his tongued glued itself to the surface, trapping him. :fail:

Aurora was really cold, she had forgotten to bring a jacket with her incase she ended up going outside. But right at that moment that really didnt matter. "Jack!" She yelled rinning over to him. She used her wand and used aguamenti (spelling?) to make it to where his tongue wouldnt be stuck much longer. "You alright?" She asked before taking a few steps back. She was planning to go back to the land but before she could, the ice broke and she fell through into the ice cold water. She went down under the ice and had to swim and try to find the hole. She was losing air fast.

Jack nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine, you?"

He asked before she tumbled into the water. Jack looked at the ice, shocked, and it was cracking again, rapidly. He dived in after Aurora into the water, not thinking ahead. He cast the bubblehead charm quickly on his head and grabbed his arm, pulling her up. He cast another charm on her head to, and threw her on the ice. He looked at her, seeing if she was still breathing.

Aurora had passed out from lack of air just before he even dived in to save her. She was passed out for a long time before flashbacks of past events came. then, she remembered a vision of being underwater. From maybe 3 or 4 months before hand. She had seen a vision of herself nearly getting killed. her flash backs were from when she was younger, When her brother james nearly drowned when she was about 1 and a half and had just learned to walk. That woek her up in a flash, coughing, she looked up at him, shivering.

Jack stared at her, a look of concren on his eyes.

"You ok?"

He coughed, standing up on shakey knees and sticking out his hand. They had to get off the ice. At this point, Jack loathed cold water. He swore never to drink water with ice in it for the next 5 years. He shok his whole body, except his head, with it being dry, and ran his fingers through his hair, now shivering.

"Maybe it wasn't such a good idea coming down here."

He said, smiling weakly.

"I...I think so." Aurora said grabbing his hand to get up. She was really cold. she didnt even want to do anything. C...can y...you summon a few blankets? I...i dont feel like walking back inside right now and... my wand broke when i was trying to break the ice, i accidentally tried using it to get out." She said as her teeth began to chatter. She hated it when she was cold. It always reminded her of countless winters when it was way to cold to go outside and when she would get burried in snow or slip in the snow when she was little and she was cold and numb for hours.

Jack nodded, trying to grin. He waved his wand and summoned up a blanket, and handed it to her. Jack kept pacing, he didn't want to stop and think of the cold. He just walked. Jack remembered a time a few years ago with his little brother, they were in the park, and a couple of kids buried Robert. Jack attacked them, and fished Rob out. He has been scared of people bigger than him ever since...

Aurora wrapped up in the blanket, feeling a bit warmer. Her shoes were all soggy and she would have to spend 10 minutes of her time later just getting her hair washed and brushed. She wouldnt like to go back inside. "Where are we going?" She asked him, a small hint of sadness in her voice. it seemed like he was upset which made her think it was her fault. Thats why she was sad. She was actually having a good day and she hoped he was to. but she could tell he wasnt exactly having the best day of his life.

Jack looked at her, and shrugged, not sure where the question came from. Why would they go anywhere? Unless she meant in front of a fire. Mmm, that would be great... Jack sat down next to Aurora and sighed, running his fingers through his hair again.

"I... don't know."

He said, defeated. He looked at her, though he said nothing, his eyes pretty much said, Hey, Rora, where do you wanna go?.
