A day in the life of...

Jack walked into the classroom, sighing. He loved Saturdays. There were no classes, you were free to do whatever you pleased... They were just amazing.. He stretched and sat down on a desk, fixing his headless hat. To any random person, it looked like he was headless, but it was just an illusion. He smirked and closed his eyes, just waiting for a scream.

Aurora had always loved saturdays. That is, Before she had gotten hit by a car and ended up in the hospital. Now, to Aurora, Saturdays were like every other day. a reason to be around waiting for your chance to goto heaven. Aurora didnt like going around doing nothing all day so she decided she would go to her usual spot in the empty classroom to work on her drawing of the crum boy and maybe draw more pictures of werewolves and vampires. When she got to the empty classroom, she opened the door and saw a boy there, maybe about 15 or 16 years old, 5th or 6th year and obviously a Ravenclaw. She didnt exactly get why he was here on a saturday. "Nice hat." aurora muttered as she went to her usual spot in the back corners to work on homework

Jack grinned as the girl walked into the room. He braced himself for an earsplitting scream. For some reason, girls always screamed lOuder than guys. Heguessed it was just fact, though once he scared a 6th year and the broke a glass cup nearby. Ooh, Jack did not want to go through that again. He waited, than realized the girl hadn't screamed. Instead, she had said, 'Nice hat.' Nice hat? Jack rarely got that response. He took off his hat and ran his fingers through his hair, confused.

"Thanks, bought it a while ago. What's your name?"

He asked it honestly, and walked over by her. He stood, tall and lanky, a few feet away from where she was. He had his wand under his robes, almost unnoticable. He grinned mischievously at her, and his brown eyes almost looked black, but they were full of energy still. He stuck out his hand for her to shake.

Aurora was about a fourth of the way done with her picture of a werewolf when the boy spoke. She didnt think he would even speak but, Aurora didnt seem to care much. "Names Aurora.. Yours?" Aurora asked, her voice as depressing as usual. she didnt look like a goth or anything and it would be hard to think she was a goth if you knew all that happened to her in the 12 and a half years she had lived. She glanced up at him when she noticed his hand was out, ready for her to shake. Judging by the look on the boy's face, Aurora didnt think it was a good idea to shake his hand. He seemed like some sort of prankster.

Jack looked at her, his face registering a strange face, confusion and sorrow, he had no idea why he felt sorry for her, he barely even knew her. Well, not even barely. He just met her. He scratched his head with the hand he stuck out for her to shake. She obviously didn't want to touch him. He then scratched at his chin.

"Names Jack Kubin." he answered back. He looked over her shoulder and saw her drawing. He breathed in. They weren't to bad. He then stared at her. "What year?" he asked. He put his hat back onto of his head. He didn't feel like holding it the whole time. He smirked as his face disappeared once again.

Aurora couldnt figure out why the kid was still close to her. He looked like a kid who would have much better things to do than stand around talking to a 12 year old child. Especially when she looked as though she didnt want to talk to anyone at the moment. the way she acted, the way she sounded, and the way she looked all pointed out how she wasnt in the mood to talk to someone. And yet, he still talked to her.

"Second year." aurora muttered under her breath. It was kind of wierd for the kid well... Jack to be looking at her and talking to her instead of playing pranks on people. "I just feel like you should know. i didnt get scared of you because that hat you got there is old.. If everybody didnt know about it then i dont know whats wrong with people these days." aurora said, as she began to work on the eyes of the werewolf.

Jack looked at her. 12? Dang, to young. He hoped maybe at least 3rd or 4th year, than he could invite her to the Three Broomsticks or something. He also hoped she was single, as of now. Jack wasn't very lucky in that department. Maybe In a year or two. He sat down on the ground. All his other friends were out finishing up their homework. Jack finished it all up yesterday night. He was bored crazy.

"You ok? You sound kinda... Depressed"

He flinched at his last word. Maybe it wasn't the perfect word. He should've used sad, or blue, or down. Actually, not down. She wasn't the tallest 2nd year. He looked up at her drawing. He used to be into that stuff. But his step-dad ruined it all when he tore ever one of them up in the shredder.

Aurora looked at the boy confused when he asked her if she was okay. She expected everyone in the school to know by then about her getting hit by a car. It wasnt the best thing to be going around the school since, aurora had already had a reputation as a shy girl and now she wasnt even shy. she was more of the depressing type. someone who acted goth even though she wasnt. Thats how she acted.

"Huh? Oh.. Nah im not really that good." Aurora said, setting down her pad and pencil and just sitting back on the floor of the classroom. "I've been depressed for maybe 3 or 4 maybe even 5 weeks now." she said as she looked over at the window of the room. the room didnt have much, but the window was always interesting.

Jack nodded like he understood. He guessed it was just part of growing up. He remembered last year, he spent a whole day crying in the washing machine for no reason. He was sure to unplug the thing and take out anything that could impale him. He stayed in there until his mom coaxed him out with leftovers from Buffalo Wild Wings.

"Oh, ok. But why are you depressed?"

He asked it innocently. He honestly didn't know, and he felt that he shuold be able to help her for some reason. He looked at her and frowned, confused.

Aurora got lost while looking at the window. Sometimes when looking out the window people get lost in their own little world, wishing how everything in their life could be like what it looked like outside the window, Happy and colorful alot of the time. She longed to know what it was like to not be depressed all of the time. She sometimes wished she could know the feeling of being happy all of the time. Finally, she snapped back into reality to hear his next question.

"You haven't heard? I thought everyone would've known by now.. Well... I got hit by a car a few weeks ago.. Dont want to go into details."

Getting hit wasnt exactly why she was upset. It was more of what had happened while she was faking to be unconcious. She had overheard many of the conversations that went on and couldnt believe it.
