Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Birds of the Same Feather Empty Birds of the Same Feather

Naomi walked down the Marble Staircase with a sort of fluid ease, her head held high and in an elegant fashion, though her outfit screamed that she did not care what people thought of her. She wore a long, woolen coat, which was pulled over dark jeans and a black shirt depicting a rather frightening looking band. She had smeared charcoal grey makeup over her eyelids and left her pale face as was...

As she stepped towards the Great Hall, her frizzy blonde hair bounced. She saw some boy consider her as she walked by and her eyes turned to look at him, though she did not move her head. She wet her lips and dismissed him, looking forward as she strode towards the Slytherin table.

She sat on the edge of her usual group of friends, as they all greeted her, the boys winking and the girls smiling, though flashes of jealousy did not go unnoticed in her eyes. She gace them all a confident smile and pushed back a spring of her hair. Her nails had been painted black and she admired them as she began to eat.

Victoria-Rose had entered the great hall, after getting some stares as she had dyed the tips of her hair black and pink. Nothing else about her look was special enough to stare at though, as she was wearing her Slytherin uniform with pride. Although, she was wearing alot of black eyeliner and mascara today than any other day with transparent lip-gloss.

She made her way to the Slytherin table and took a seat, opposite a girl who looked really pretty, which made her jealous. She frowned and took a seat anyway, flipping her hair behind her neck, so it didn't interfere with her food.

Filling a plate up with food, she finally set down her plate and began to eat. Though, before she did, she looked up at the girl and smiled. "You look nice, what's the occasion?" Victoria-Rose asked her. She was authentically curious as to why she just wouldn't be wearing her uniform and why she looks so dressed up.

Naomi had been carefully setting bagels and fruit onto her plate, when a voice from in front of her drifted into her ears. She slowly looked up, raising her head slowly as well. A small smile unfolded onto her face hesitantly and she bowed her head as a thank you. "Oh, you know... Tuesday." She allowed for a single chuckle and then said. "Thank you."

Naomi did not dress to impress. She wore the clothes she liked to wear and it just so happened that other people seemed to like it too. Especially boys. It was not that she wore booty shorts and heels and heavy makeup and too small shirts, because she did not. She had a unique style that made it seem like she did not have a reason to care... Which made people want to.

She took her time to look over the girl, deem her worthy, or not, to be seen with her. Naomi was not superficial, but she was proud and she understood, however painfully, the duties of popularity. The girl was pretty, and familiar. Either her own age or a bit older. Naomi smiled, aware that she owed the girl a compliment now. "I like your hair. Did you dye it yourself?"

Before taking a bite of her toast, Victoria-Rose chuckled softly at the response that she'd gotten from a girl she just complimented. Not quite the answer she was expecting, but definitely something different. She liked it..As other girls would reply 'nothing special' or 'dressing to impress a boy', but not this girl.

"Oh, thank you," Victoria-Rose replied at the compliment she got. "And yes I did," Victoria-Rose replied and decided to give the girl the explanation as to why. "I don't trust anyone to do anything to me," Victoria-Rose added. It was true, she did everything herself, make her lunch, make her bed, and just everything in general so that no one could prank her or trick her.

She took a couple of bites of toast and had a couple sips of drink. She decided to let this girl her name, rather her talking to her friends, if she had any, 'a girl'. So she looked at the girl..ironic, huh? And she decided to introduce herself. "My name's Victoria-Rose...and as for my last name well, I only want to know your first, so why should you know mine?.." Victoria-Rose asked, feeling kind of rude, but it was true, she never really liked anyone knowing her last name as no one called her Victoria-Rose Elkhart..just Victoria-Rose.

Naomi nodded, her eyes straying to the tips of the girls blonde hair, where the hair had turned pink and black, colors that suited the girl. "Well, it turned out very nicely." Naomi had considered dying her hair before, wanting purple and light blue, almost cyan, but always deciding against it. Her platinum blonde hair was unique as it was.

She could tell this girl was sizing her up, and she did not trust her. Though Naomi did not mind because she sized everyone up and trusted no one. Though by the girl's act of saying she did not trust people, she was informing Naomi of a private detail of her life. Naomi did not trust others, but you would never see her coy demeanor give that away. Her friends thought that she told them everything.

She introduced herself, and then rudely informed her that she would not be giving her last name. As if Naomi cared. Had the girl simply stated her first name, Naomi would have thought nothing of it. Naomi smiled however, and replied, "I'm Naomi Quinn." By giving her only a partial name, she was being contrary and deceitful, a combination that suited her just fine.

"It turned out just the way I wanted it to be," Victoria-Rose said. She had just basically said 'thank you' in a longer and more self-absorbed way. Though it was nice to receive another compliment from this girl, which made her feel good about herself.

She took another few bites of her toast and almost choked. She quickly drank some juice and looked at Naomi. She was oddly familiar. She was the 'popular' girl, supposedly, but only for Slytherin House as there was a 'popular' girl and guy from each house. Victoria-Rose couldn't believe she had just been talking to her, not that she cared, she was just suprised that she'd take the time to talk to her and also to compliment her, twice!

Vicotria-Rose bit her bottom lips and looked at her. She was way more prettier than they say, it almost met the expectations that she expects in a female. To take pride in their looks. Victoria-Rose loved her look, she'd look in a mirror whenever she could to make sure she looked brilliant. She felt she was pretty and beautiful enough, but somehow, she never thought of popularity! She shook her own head and cursed herself in her mind for not thinking that. Well, she thinks she's popular..but maybe not.

"Pleasure to meet you," Victoria-Rose replied to Naomi. She was just to shocked and suprised to speak, so she continued on her toast, trying not make a fool of herself...not that she cared, she just didn't want to seem stupid so that Naomi would spread rumours about her.

Naomi smiled a light smile that revealed absolutely nothing, for she never revealed anything if she could help it. She was actually somewhat paranoid and distrustful when it came down to it. She found it ironic that she could be surrounded by her laughing friends and when she looked around at them, found she felt not only little affection for them, but also a lack of trust.

Victoria-Rose said that it turned out the way she had wanted and Naomi smiled again, a reservation in her expression. Any other normal girl would gush about how they would have liked to try dyeing their hair this or that color.. though, no matter how well Naomi played off the fact that she was just like an other Slytherin girl, she was seriously different.

"Are you okay?" Naomi asked as Victoria choked on her toast. She seemed to recover and continued to exchange pleasantries. Naomi responded, "And I, you." She looked down at her plate. A bagel with a small slather of honey, assorted fruit, pumpkin juice, and a piece of toast. Very healthy, as usual. She picked up a fork and ate some of the fruit, unsure of what to say, but wanting to keep the subject on the other girl. "What classes are you taking?"

"I'm fine, thank you," Victoria-Rose replied to Naomi. She took another sip of her juice just to make sure that the toast went down the right way. She calmed herself down and put down the juice and looked at Naomi. Victoria-Rose also smiled at 'And, I', meaning it was a pleasure to meet her too.

"I'm taking Charms, Dark Arts, Potions and Defense agains the Dark Arts, " Victoria-Rose said to Naomi. She enjoyed all her classes but was never good with the work. She was more a Quidditch person, and her parents didn't mind or care, they were just proud of her. She was suprised at this but relieved at the same time.

"What about yourself?" Victoria-Rose asked Naomi referring to what classes she was taking. She wondered whether or not to tell Naomi she was actually terrible at class and that she was better at Quidditch than anything else. Maybe it would show how slack she was and how she didn't put in any effort, but she did, though no one believed her.

Naomi was carefully using her spoon to slice her grapefruit, plum, peaches, and oranges into smaller pieces so as to prevent the mishap that Victoria had almost fallen victim to. There was nothing less graceful, demeaning, and undignified then death by choking in Naomi's opinion, so she would not chance it.

She popped a piece of plum into her mouth; chewed once, twice, and three times before swallowing. She knew that supposedly one was supposed to chew some twenty odd times or so, but in all frankness and honesty- Naomi did not have that sort of commitment to her food.

She swallowed finally and sipped pumpkin juice. This was part of her method, her system; bite, swallow, sip. Victoria asked about classes and Naomi said in her usual voice, "Only Potions and Dark Arts. I don't do with pressure, so I keep a light schedule." Actually she just did not want stress and she was not thick enough to take eight classes.
