Alex didn't usually get rejected by girls like that, but it wasn't that which bothered him with the whole conversation with Veronika. It was her looking down on him, he wasn't accustomed to it! He had been right up there in social status, probably richer than Veronika herself. It was that, and her arrogance that bothered him more than anything. Alex remained calm though, as Emil had said the girl was hardly worth getting worked up over. But he still needed something better than the book he had already read thrice to distract himself, so he lit another joint as well. He momentarily considered taking the Vodka out as well but he was saving that for Hogwarts. It would be hard to get his hands on some alcohol or spliff there.
Alex noticed it was generally quite quiet, with exception of Danica talking to Prison. He looked around for the whereabouts of his best friend, Mikhail, and saw Zhanna exiting the cabin. The girl was very short, he had noticed that in his first year when she had been the shortest girl in their class. And she had hardly grown since then. Despite her short height, she was definitely very attractive and unlike Nika, a bit more friendly. "Hey Zhanna," he said, flashing her a smile. "You OK?" Alex had noticed that she had been out of sight for most of the journey.
