Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Into the Dungeons. Empty Into the Dungeons.

Post by Hugo Weasley Sun Sep 12, 2010 9:50 pm

The Common Room was empty but dinner was coming to a close. Classes had been going on for a week currently and Jenifer hadn't had an opportunity to speak with her Slytherins as of yet. Now, however, seemed to be an appropriate time. The Death Eaters had a good grip on the school and they had no intention of letting go just yet so Jen was going to remind the Slytherins what role they had to play.

Of course Jen wasn't entirely sure what role her Slytherins were supposed to be playing but they could have been taking advantage of the situation at hand.

She also had a few other notices for them. It wasn't just a reminder. She wanted to have Elijah set up the Quidditch Trials soon. They needed a good strong team. She wanted her house to win the house cup this year so getting ready early would give them a head start. First of all though, they needed a team and Jen was willing to bend any rules Eli wanted her to bend if it meant that they had a shot at having the cup.

Jen's eyes went to the portrait door. She'd already taken the liberty of giving the password to a few of the elder students and they in turn had given the password to the younger ones. Of course naturally, the password at the beginning of the year was Salazar. It was an opportunity to remind the students of the person that made their position in the school possible, even if it wasn't always the preferred position.

After the long train ride - where Scorpius had to patrol the train as his squad duties -, the long and boring headmaster speech and then the delicious meal afterwards, Scorpius really wanted nothing more than a good long rest. When the feast ended, he lazily made his way down to the dungeons where a crowd of younger students were standing outside the entrance, guessing the passwords. He rolled his eyes at them, and pushed pass - as a NEWT student, he had been told the password by the head of house beforehand. "Salazar" he said in a loud and clear voice. Slytherin passwords were always quite guessable, and were always words like 'Pureblood' and etcetera.

As the entrance opened, he walked in first, then moved out of the way to let the midgets through. He noticed first that the new head of house was standing right there, watching the students come in. He noticed the woman, he had seen her around Malfoy Manor, which meant she was probably a death eater. "Good evening professor," he said politely, as he passed her on the way to the notice board.

Cassie walked into the Slytherin dungeon and looked around her new home. On her left, a leather lounge set surrounded the two fireplaces that warmed the room. Above one was a portrait of Salazar Slytherin, above the other, the Slytherin coat of arms. On her right, the room stretched back to end with a huge mirror that covered almost all of the far wall. There was a row of windows in the wall across from the entrance, and Cassie already knew these looked out under the lake, even though right now they were completely black. The only thing breaking them up were the stairwells down to the boys and girls dormitories.

Standing at the end of the room with the mirror was the dark haired professor who'd been identified to them during the Sorting Ceremony as Slytherin's head of house. She looked expectant, so Cassie assumed she wanted to talk to them about rules or something.

Cassie walked into the room and noticed some certificates framed on the wall. Slytherin had won a lot of quidditch and house cups over the years.

Scorpius saw that there was only one notice on the board, and he frowned when he read it. Turning when he heard the voice, he already knew who it was - only one of his friends called him by Pius and not Scorp, which was his preferred nickname. "Well they haven't put up when the try-outs are," he confirmed. "But apparently Elijah is the new captain." There was definitely some jealousy in his tone as he said that. Scorpius had hoped and thought that he would become quidditch captain after having been on the team for six years as chaser, but apparently not. It was quite annoying, and worse, Elijah had become captain. Scorpius didn't quite like him for several reasons, though perhaps the main reason was that Eli was so close to his friend Julia. He was a good flyer though, he had to admit that. The kid was, after all, son of the famous Victor Krum.

Into the Dungeons. Empty Re: Into the Dungeons.

The prospect of having to spend the year in the Slytherin dorms was fairly horrifying for Elijah who had spent the bulk of his fifth year in the Room of Requirement, surrounding himself with his art and the vintage wine that the room had stored over the centuries. But now he could find no room and was left with only one option. Well he had two really but he didn’t see Jen or Rob willing to share or give up their rooms for him. He knew his father would complain, as would his mother and anyone else in their family that could get their hands on something that would get them noticed. ‘Precious Elijah’ couldn’t sleep in the same room as the other boys. Goodness only knows what would happen! It was unlikely that anything would happen.

The Bulgarian weaved his way through a gaggle of fourth years that had gathered in one of the archways and even went as far as to lift a few up to give himself room to walk. Finally he made it to the dungeons but not without ushering a few confused first years to the Hufflepuff dorms. One had even started sobbing and much to her astonishment, Elijah had picked her up and taken her back to the dorms. She reminded him of Fauve after a nightmare in Paris. The way the light illuminated her face was exactly the same and her eyes burned with the same fear. Once he’d cleared the Dungeons of scared first years he entered the Slytherin part of the dark underbelly of the school. He approached the portrait, hissing out the password under his breath. It swung forward and Elijah strode inside.

Crossing his arms over his chest, Elijah surveyed the common room. Julia wasn’t there, he noted. Everyone else was a little bit irrelevant to him at that moment in time. All except Jen of course. The aloof Dent woman had gotten him out of a few sticky situations over the summer, the most memorable being St. Mungo’s. Elijah’s dark eyes fell onto the hand that had been burned, mangled and torn apart. He paled slightly at the sight of it. It was fully healed but if you looked closely you could see where the skin had been burned away. He looked back up again and met Jen’s observant gaze. He smiled at her and crossed the room towards her. “Enjoying the power?” He asked, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “Perhaps you could make the dungeons fit for their original use, hmm?”

Sally walked into the Slytherin Common Room bored after the sorting ceramony. There was a couple people inside but she didnt know anyone so she shurgged it off and went to sit on the leather sofa in the middle of the room. She noticed a teacher was in the room, propbably to explain some stupid rules most likely she thought, of course though this is Slytherin it could have something to do with the dark followers. That is what she wanted to hear, she still wanted to get revenage against her mothers death and she'd wanted to follow her mums footsteps and become a death eater.

Naomi had always had mixed feelings about the Slytherin common room. She did not always feel like herself there, and felt herself putting of an act, a facade for everyone else, but when didn't she do that? The difference as, here were people worthy of her attention, people she actually found a reason to put effort into getting to know. The boys liked her, the girls envied her, she had people she associated as friends, though the concept had long seemed alien to her.

She lifted the corner of her mouth as she strode in, her eyes flashing to those she thought most deserved her attention. First the professor, who had the most power. Then the more attractive boys of course, such as Elijah and Scorpius, and Selwyn whose demeanor had always amused her. Sally received a smile because she was pretty and popular. The first year got a ghost of a smile, as though to say she had not earned it yet, but if she tried...

She pulled her bag on her shoulder and withdrew a long, dark cloak, which she pulled over herself. She plucked the fronts closed to keep herself warm in the frigid chill the dungeons procured. Her grey-ed eyelids closed over her own blue-grey eyes and she felt her lips curl into a mysterious smile as she surveyed the situation...

She decided to join Scorpius and Selwyn, rather than Elijah and the professor, because though the latter pairing had more opportunities for herself, the former did not seem to be holding a private party, which were the vibes she got from Elijah and the woman. She walked over to the two boys and her lips curled slightly into a small smile. "Hello Scorpius, Selwyn. How were your summers?" Her eyes twinkled mysteriously.
