History:

James Wake was born to a family of werewolves. Due to the fact that the werewolf gene could not be transferred genetically, James was supposed to be bitten at the age of six. Obviously, it didn't work, or else I would say James is a werewolf. No, instead, a group of overly-reverent werewolf haters chose that night to begin their crusade on all things furry, and killed all the werewolves James Wake had lived with in their little vale.
He lost one of his arm after his father managed to bite it. One of the wizards had cut off the arm and cauterized the wound. A "service" he said. James found out he had magic the moment he blew that wizard's head off.

He was dumped into his uncle's life, who did not enjoy James' presence. So what did he do? Put James in front of the fireplace, gave him a 150-page tome about Magic and went along his way. Eventually, James got a kick-*** faux arm which could transform, had a grappling hook and worked just like his old one... only this one has five hundred odd souls that slowly view for his sanity. He spent his first five years of schooling in Durmstrang. Which was nice, really. He knows plenty of Magic, both "Light" and "Dark," though he takes a rather philosophical approach to his magic: "Magic is Magic, whether you like it or not."
