Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Lesson Four - N.E.W.T. Empty Lesson Four - N.E.W.T.

Post by James William Wilson Sun Jan 10, 2010 1:48 pm

Professor Wilson entered his classroom. He passed through the empty desks and sat on his chair. He took his wand out and pointed it at the blackboard. Suddenly, a lot of text appeared. Why? He liked to let the students copy the important information and then listen to his lesson without the worry of writing his lesson down. That causes distraction. He then pointed his wand at the desks, and a note appeared on them: ''Copy the text from the blackboard!'' It was just a note for the students who came to the class to copy the text. After all of them were finished, he would start talking. He was done so he had some time to relax before the class starts. Again the same routine, the one thing he disliked about teaching.

Albus entered the class after Poe. "Good Morning professor," he said, sitting at the front. He took his books out and waited for class to begin.

Danny walked in feeling fine and not too high in hopes. He hated coming to classes in the morning and it often pained him. As he strolled on into the classroom, he said nothing to the teacher and sat down at his supposed assigned seat. He looked at the note then rummaged through his backpack to find his compostition notebook. He opened up tot he next blank page and began to write down the notes. it was boring yet it was Muggle Studies class.

Wilson looked at the four of them. This class seems to get smaller and smaller. He stood up. ''Good morning to you all. Today's lesson will be about Ancient Rome, which is a bloody brilliant lesson if you ask me. But, not to share my infantile enthusiasm with you all, I shall start this class with a question. What can you all tell me about Ancient Rome, in short terms.'', he asked walking to the front desk of the classroom. He liked to start his classes with a question.

(NOTE: I shall wait until tomorrow night, if no one replies, Arthur will and I will finish the lesson)

Roxanne entered the class just in time, and quickly took a seat at the front of the class. Not knowing much about Muggles, she was very interested in them. She raised her hand to answer the question. She had of course, read some stuff about ancient rome in her muggle studies books. "Ancient Rome was a civilization that began in Rome, but then expanded rapidly to become one of the largest empires in the muggle world. Ancient Rome contributed greatly to art, law, literature, architecture and muggle warfare," she recited.

Wilson looked at Roxanne. ''Good answer... short, but precise. Five points for Hufflepuff. Now, for my second question. Does anybody know what forms of government Ancient Rome had? To help you, there were three.'', he asked.

Danny tried to remember what types of government they had. He knew 1 of them yet the other 2 were just clouded in his mind. Come on he knew this already! He then finaly had it in his mind and raised his hand up high. He finally knew this.

Roxanne knew this as well, she raised her hand, though another boy had already raised his hand to answer the question. Hufflepuff really needed points and Roxanne wanted to get that for them.
