Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Brynn, embodying the quintessential rebellious teenager, struggled to perceive her parents as intelligent beings in any capacity. In her youthful perspective, their compliance with an arranged marriage seemed to negate any notion of wisdom or free will. The expectations placed upon her to conform to their ideals and values only fueled her skepticism, as she yearned to break free from the mold they had cast for her.

In an attempt to navigate the intricate web of familial dynamics, Brynn's mind churned with possibilities. She sought a glimmer of hope, a chance to influence her father's decisions in a manner that aligned with her own desires. With a hint of curiosity, she leaned into the train of thought presented by her counterpart, recognizing the potential in seizing this opportunity.

"Did you have any ideas?" she inquired, her voice tinged with a flicker of intrigue. By engaging in this dialogue, Brynn hoped to unlock a pathway that could not only dissuade her father from pursuing the arranged marriage but also sway his decisions in a direction that aligned with her own aspirations. A spark of determination glimmered in her eyes, a reflection of her desire to carve her own path and assert her independence within the confines of her familial expectations.

As she contemplated her next move, Brynn embraced the notion that she could leverage her cunning and intelligence to influence the outcome. The threads of possibility intertwined, weaving a tapestry of calculated persuasion. The challenge lay in balancing her desire for personal autonomy with the intricacies of familial bonds, all while attempting to reshape the predetermined narrative that awaited her.

"Well, I don't know, surely that depends on you," he said leaning back.

He regarded Brynn. For all of her confidence, she was more uncertain that he'd expected. He wasn't sure if this was because he'd happened to catch her on an off day, but he suspected that perhaps that breezy exterior was the tactic she'd taken to protect herself. Teens either leaned in to the awkwardness of the phase or slipped deep into denial, and she'd taken on this air of confidence to accomplish the latter.

To her credit, it was one of the better acts.

"First you have to figure out what you want out of it all," he said. "How important is money? How important is an understanding? Because you could find some old money Rookwood that graduated four years ago who will keep you rich and safe forever, but he's not likely to be a fan of 'extracurricular' activities. Maybe a new money bloke though who's just decent enough but no real threat. You have less stability, but more freedom. These are the questions you should be asking yourself."

Cosmo's thought-provoking musings captivated Brynn, leaving her deep in contemplation. The ideas he presented were intriguing, offering a fresh perspective that lingered in her mind. As she pondered her own desires and aspirations, Brynn couldn't help but consider the path she truly longed to pursue.

Undoubtedly, a comfortable financial situation held significant appeal for her. She yearned for stability and security, envisioning a life without the burdensome obligations of a conventional job. Perhaps engaging in a few engaging projects would satiate her need for intellectual stimulation, but nothing that would encroach upon her freedom too heavily. The mere thought of being dictated by others, having her every move dictated and controlled, instilled a sense of unease within her.

A genuine smile graced her lips as she addressed Cosmo, appreciating the intriguing dialogue they had shared. "Cosmo, you've truly given me much to contemplate," she admitted, her voice filled with gratitude. "Now, just to see if it would make a difference."
