Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

When you have a ton of threads to start but are too distracted by threads you're waiting on replies for to start anything.

So true. :S

Re: the vocab thing - Believe you me, I hate how limited my vocabulary is. Thesaurus, my friends. XD I love it too well.

When ideas get mixed up because storylines happen and then your character feels too much all at once so they kind of feel nothing and it's bizarrrrreeee.

A mix of the two problems above? Taking a break and forgetting where you were at and then flooding with all of the emotions of ALL the things that they need to deal with, then having to sort it all out. Ooh boy.

I have kind of the opposite of the vocab thing. I have this thing called a tip-of-the-tongue problem. So I know what word I want, but I can't think of the actual word. I end up scouring the thesaurus, going through synonyms till I find it. It's the most annoying thing ever.

Also, being picky about meanings. Sympathetic is not empathetic. Discreet is not discrete. I'm such a nerd.

When your on your phone replying and you feel like you wrote a lot, and come back onto your laptop and see that you didn't write much.

Maura I hate that too!

When you see someone on tv and want him/her for FC and you already have in your head all about character but then you find out that FC is already taken and you can't find another FC who would work

When you have more muse for an NPC than the actual character. Also when you have lots of muse for an NPC but it's not yet time to bring them out.
