Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

A Week Too Hot Empty A Week Too Hot

Post by Brice Volkov Sun Aug 03, 2014 4:40 pm

Brice walked around by the street, looking around to each window, looking for something to buy. Fixing his shirt all the time because of the heat, he kept on walking around. The heat seemed to affect everyone, as they were running, or walking quickly. Brice had no hurry, though. He walked around calmly to every store, occasionally stopping. After a bit of walking, he stopped in front of the Quality Quidditch Supplies. He looked at the Neverlanding, the presumed best broom around. His Firebolt was getting old, and he thought about buying a new one, with a maintenance kit, too. He checked how many bags of a hundred he had brought, and found nothing more than four of them, summing up 450, counting the extras he had. He then decided to leave it to later, since there was too many people at the moment.

He went to Flourean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour and bought a sundae of Lemon, Vanilla, and Coffee. Everyone found it a weird combination, but he loved it. He sat down on a chair outside, sitting near a stone table covered by a parasol. He looked out to the street, wondering if anyone else that he knew would be nearby. He ate a bit of the Sundae, daydreaming.

A Week Too Hot Empty Re: A Week Too Hot

Post by Amber Lockwood Wed Aug 06, 2014 5:20 pm

The day was as boring as it was hot. Amber did not know what to do at home so she decided to go out and explore the Diagon Alley once more, hoping to find something interesting there.
So far, however, her searches were only in vain. Amber did not find anything to buy nor anything interesting to look at so, in the end, she decided to simply stroll around, hoping to see something that would perk her interest.

Finally, after an hour or two, she felt relatively tired from walking in this heat and she decided to go and get herself an ice cream. Or maybe two, depending on her appetite and the weather, though it only seemed to get hotter and hotter.

Sighing quietly, she ordered herself an apple and banana flavored ice cream, and looked around, searching for a place to sit. That was when she noticed a familiar looking young man not so far away from her. Summoning a smile on her face, she suddenly remembered who it was and confidently approached the new Slytherin student.

"Hey there! Mind if I sit here?"

His daydreaming was suddenly interrupted, and he turned his head towards where the more than welcome voice came from. For a second, he examined her, before smiling and putting his sundae down.

"Not at all! In fact, I was thinking about you just now." he said, and then quickly added "Because I was looking for someone to talk with, I mean!"

Quickly hiding a pouch that he left on top of the table and putting it in his pocket, he turned his eyes down and nervously pulled his shirt's collar down, then neatly fixing it on him again. He hit his sundae on that, and right before it fell over, he put his hand under it and took some awkward seconds to put it exactly in front of him. He blushed and quickly turned his face to the bright day outside.

“Ahha?” responded Amber before taking a seat and piercing the banana ice cream with her spoon. She did not know how to respond to such a thought. She rarely admitted when she thought of another person, that was too personal in her opinion. But perhaps Brice believed that sharing such details was essential to friendship. Perhaps he was right. “Ah,” Amber retorted with a small nod. Alright, talk about awkward situations...

As the silence began sinking between those two, Amber used it to taste and enjoy her ice cream and, like Brice, look around and observe the surroundings. Finally, though, her boredom got over her and she drew a deep breath.

“So you wanted someone to talk to, I am here. What did you want to talk about?”

Brice stared at the window a little more. In fact, he was staring at it so hard it seemed to everyone else that the meaning of life was written on it. He wondered. What did he want to talk about? He just felt like he was really in need of talking to somebody, so he wouldn't be the only one to be completely lonely and bored person during summer. Summer? Yes, that was a great topic.

"Oh nothing specific, really. I'm just... Really feeling like I should do something other than walking around the Diagonal Alley like a lost ghost, or study, since those two have been the only things I've been doing. So what have you done during summer?"
