Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Does this franchise bring anyone else as much childlike joy as it does for me?

Like the books and the movies/television show.

Because Hiccup and Toothless never fail to brighten my day.

Plus the animation in the movies is top tier in this day and age.

The whole thing is based off of a series of novels by Cressida Cowell.

They're about a young viking named Hiccup heir to the Hairy Hooligan tribe. He's the runt of the litter like in the movies.

Other than a few names of characters and dragons they are far from direct adaptations. But I have no complaints because they're good either way.

They all have different names but it's just the How to Train Your Dragon series.

Thanks! I'll will start looking for those now! With me going down to one job I'll have plenty of time til school starts back to start reading those. I tried to get Jake to take me to the drive in to see the new one this weekend but I think he has to work.

I JUST SAW THE SECOND ONE TODAY.

It got a little too Lion King for me there in the middle, but I dig. I think it's because I love John Powell's compositions. I listen to those all the time. Makes me want to do epic things, so I listen to them while I study because it makes me feel like I'm doing something important.
