What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Deja Vu - The night after Empty Deja Vu - The night after

Post by Thaorson Ian Elldir Wed Dec 18, 2013 8:25 pm

Thaor sighed as he left Michael's house. So much was running through his mind, everything he thought he knew about his father could be a lie. There was only one thing he did know, his father sacrificed himself to save Robert. That one thing, was big enough to cast doubt upon everything that Thaor had heard and been told about the man.

He was about to disapparate and return home when he saw the Three Broomsticks, and decided it'd be a good night to get a drink, or fifty. He walked in to the nearly empty bar, took a seat at a table on the far side of the room, and ordered a Sirius Black-and-Tan.

Deja Vu - The night after Empty Re: Deja Vu - The night after

Post by Miseria Lupin Wed Dec 18, 2013 8:40 pm

After her return from Romania Mis did not feel like returning to her job at Hogwarts yet. She had visited her parents' graves, and, using the money she had inherited from her parents, she bought back the mansion she used to live in when she was a child. Obviously, after being there for quite some time and allowing all memories rush back into her headd, she felt quite miserable. Oh the irony with my name, she thought as she rolled her eyes.

Hogsmeade had always been one of her favorite places to visit when she was feeling blue. Usually she bought tons of candy, but this time she decided to go for something a bit more stronger.

Miseria pushed strands of her blue hair away from her face as she entered the Three Broomsticks and looked around. The place was baasically empty and her steps echoed from the walls when she stepped forward. For a moment she considered taking as many bottles of butterbeer as possible. She'd feel sick after drinking much of it later anyway. Just like from alcohol, but no, her body desired for something that would burn her throat. Listening to the good ''advice'' she ordered a Fire whiskey and looked around.

Her face, pale as always, reflected surprise when she saw someone she had not seen for a very long while. And the man looked... younger. Well preserved. Chuckling, she took her bottle and approached Thaor, not knowing that his father was dead and that he was the son the former death eater hd. In other words she had been living in complete isolation and no one told her a thing after she came back to England. Actually no one even knew of her return.

''I never thought you would be the victim of a plastic surgery, Thaor. Or is it a potion? Well nevermind, though I must admit that you do look better with brown hair. The grey one was... well, grey,'' she 'greeted' the man as she took the seat on the other side of his table, never even bothering to ask for his permission.

Thaor turned as Miseria sat and spoke to him. She obviously mistaked him for his father. He decided he'd go along with the ruse for a bit. I've come by the looks naturally. he said with a smile.

I do think brown hair fits me better. being in my 30's and all, I'd be rather sad if had gray hair already. My father didn't go gray until he was in his fourties he said, taking a drink.

I don't believe we've met, but by the sounds of it, you've met my father. he said with a smile, extending his hand. Thaor Elldir, Jr. he added.

''Naturally... Right,'' she responded, not even trying to hide her sarcastic voice or grin which soon abdorned her face. ''I know it's not my place to act all concerned, which I am not by the way, but you should know that all those silicon injections are not healthy and you will need some professional help later to recover your health.''

She closed her eyes when she poured some of the firewhiskey into her mouth. It burned her insides, but it felt so nice and warm. Eve her mood began to brighten up a little.

Miseria arched her eyebrows. Thirties? Please! Last time she saw Thaor was when they had a duel and he was already looking like a grandfather. Regardless, she did not think ill of another person. Especially when it came to the looks. It was just sad to judge someone simply by looking at them. She was even more surprised when he mentioned his father and then decided to introduce himself.

Stunned for a moment she reached ojt her hand and shook his, not really sure whether she should believe that man or not. ''Charmed,'' Miseria responded, finally letting go of him. ''Yes, he is a very... interesting man I must say.''

Was. he said with a frown. He hadn't had enough to drink yet to touch this subject, yet, here it was, thrust upon him. He sighed as he finished off his Sirius-Black-and-Tan, then ordered two Drinks that must not be named, and slid one to Miseria. He was a very interesting man. he said, taking a sip off his drink.

He met his end, so to say, last night, by Dumbledore's tomb. he said, slamming back the rest of his drink, closing his eyes as he felt the burn go down his throat. He was beginning to adore that feeling, it was almost the only way he felt anything anymore. It made him know he was still alive.

Deja Vu - The night after Empty Re: Deja Vu - The night after

Was? Miseria said nothing this time, allowing silence to sink it. She knew that Thaor had died once but he was reusrrected by his allies. Looking back at the man who was drinking to drown his sorrow, she felt sorry for him. Miseria had lost her parents when she was thirteen years old. They were murdered by the Deat Eaters who, for some reason, held a grudge towards her family ans her further actions after joining the Potter's Army and later the Order basically made them sworn enemies.

She finished off her firewhiskey. Although Thaor tried to kill her once, she could not feel happy about this loss. This man was a powerful wizard. Sad that he had to meet his end like this.

Sliding her fingers around the cold glass, Miseria examined the new drink and then she lifted hef eyes back to Thaor Jr. ''Careful now, champ,'' she warned him. Although alcohol began working inher system and her head was already slightly dizzy, her mind was still sober. She was about to say that he should not harm himself with alcohol, but what was she herself doing? Only a moment ago she had finished off her firewhiskey and now she had another drink in her hands. Miseria chuckled and tried it. Shuddering, she decided to finish this drink a bit later. Or maybe Thaor will do that instead.

''I never knew he had a son. And according to your accent you are not from here, so where did you come from? America? I wonder why I've never seen you here.''

Champ he thought to himself. He was anything but, he was an utter failure, he couldn't protect those he cared about. His father, whom he barely knew, died right in front of him, he couldn't protect him either. He should just give up on life, become a drunk, and hide himself away.

He sent me to America after I was born, believing I'd have a better life. I came back after he apparently faked his own death, and started teaching Care of Magical Creatures and then became a member of the Wizengamot. he said, looking at the drink she put down, then to his own.

What the hell am I doing with my life. he thought to himself, this isn't how his father would want him to live. I've been around, I believe the question would be, why haven't I seen you around.

A new professor? Again her eyebrows arched up a little bit in a small surprise which was obvious in her eyes and face overall. The fact that the young man spent most of his life in the United States did not raise any of attention in her, however she was a bit surprised why Thaor decided to hide his offspring so close. If anyone would ever bother to look, and if they really wanted to kill off the Elldir family, they would find and out his location and do so. God bless Thaor Sr's. enemies were not as vengeous as she thought, but then again, now that he was basically served on the silver platern, how many people were out for his head?

Hufflepuff graduate chuckled again. Well, wasn't the life around her so full of intrigues and so interesting? Who was killing who, who married another one and so on and on. None of that interested Miseria enough however. For some reason she loved to live in isolation and stay away from politics and the world. Regardless of her wish, it did not always go as planned.

"I've been around," she repeated his words in a quiet tone, now lowering her eyes. Unlike many other people she did not intend on going around and babbling about the misfortune of her losing her parents at such early age and about the battles she had to fight in order to survive. Not even when she was drinking. "I took a small break and just traveled around the world."

Miseria took the glass and looked at it before finishing the drink-that-must-not-be-named off. Shudders passed through her spine again and she shivered on the chair. Yeah, the taste of the drink was not the best, although the quality of it was good enough to make the roof swing. "Oh right," she suddenly remembered with a brighter look in her eyes. "I forgot to introduce myself. I am Miseria Lupin."

I've been around she said, he was really going to like her. He wasn't sure if it was the alcohol, the recent emotional trauma he suffered, or her devilish good looks, probably a combination of the three that made him think of the marriage law, and how they would be perfect together, at least until the law was overturned.

Lupin. Of course she had to be a Lupin, one he's heard about as well. Miseria Lupin, as in, Khaat Lupin's adopted daughter, and she has custody of your child, Miseria Lupin? Thaor said, a little surprised, although he should have known, the blue hair was a dead give-a-way.

Oh, and not that any of that is a bad thing, I've just heard about you from spending most of my recent time with the Lupins. I can honestly say, it's a pleasure to meet you. He said with a smile.

Oh, so the word of her has spread around. She laughed quietly when he recognized her. It looked like Thaor had met Khaat, which did not surprise her at all. Her mother was Everywhere and everyone knew her. It was amusing how certain popularity followed her as well because of her parent. "That's right," she responded quietly, thinking now of Dakota.

Her daughter thought of Khaat as her own mother due to the fact that when she was born, Miseria was only fourteen years old and in order to get her education she had to leave her child in her mother's care. And now, when she was working, Dakota was a child of the age of three and she lived with the other siblings, and even though she visited her as much as she could, there was a block between them. Suddenly Miseria felt guilty. She was a terrible mother and all because she could not handle herself. Perhaps it was a time for a family reunion? The things she knew of her daughter and the time they have spent together was just not enough.

"Yeah, they are very nice people," Miseria nodded quickly. Alcohol did not allow her to concentrate on one sad topic for any longer and she was thankful for it. "It's a first time anyone has ever been happy to meet me," the blue haired woman pointed out, tone distant and soft. "I wonder what they have told about me."
